I am a retired Custom home builder from Chesapeake, Virginia, but more importantly, I love mountains and am an outdoor enthusiast!

My wife and I chose the mountains of West Virginia because we love nature!

We moved here in 2008 and have been enjoying it ever since!

I spent over 30 plus years building custom dream homes for my clients in the Tidewater area of Va. Now we can see our dream of living in the mountains come true!

We are now living in the season where we have the time and privilege to share almost heaven, WV, with as many interested people as possible!

We share our love for God's creation with family, friends, and guests here in the Canaan Valley area of West Virginia!

We like to ski (both downhill and cross-country), hike, bike, Kayak, and hunt.
However, we also love to relax and take in the fantastic sunsets between the mountains in addition to stargazing!

Our favorite thing to do is hike to waterfalls and alongside streams!

Our days are filled with entertaining family and friends who have taken time off from their busy lives to visit.

We cherish the time we can spend with them by showing them wild, wonderful WV!

We chose to have a cozy cabin here because of the fantastic views of the mountains and sunsets!
We also love hearing the sounds of nature, viewing wildlife, and enjoying the fresh air!
"Sunset Cabin" is positioned so you can enjoy both the sunrise and the sunset!
The location is also close to two ski resorts and hiking trails.
The area also offers mountain biking, horseback riding, golfing, rock climbing, or hunting!
However, "Sunset Cabin" is also a perfect place to experience the sounds of nature in a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
"Sunset Cabin" is where deep breaths of fresh mountain air are taken and where many have received the answers to the "why" and "purpose" of their lives. :)... always answering back with praise and gratitude!

We believe watching the sunset and stargazing rejuvenates the soul and gives us strength, peace, and balance for the road ahead.

The cabin boasts views of the mountains and a peaceful setting.
Most activities, such as downhill and cross-country skiing, are 7-10 miles away.
Horseback riding and hiking trails close as well.
We encourage people to relax around the natural wood-burning fireplace inside the cabin or outside by the campfire.

Star gazing is prime here in this part of WV! This is because it has been claimed to be one of the "darkest spots" on the east coast!
