Lovely place to stay for a weekend away with the family! Beautiful views and spacious, clean home. Some of the highlights were the big hot tub on the deck, the fire pit on the cliff and the fun wooden staircase/ladder to the beach. We had a blast! We saw sea lions, humback whales and lots of birds. It was a great place to relax and celebrate!

The home was very clean, and decorated for Christmas! We loved everything from the big, functional kitchen, to the lounge-y couch by the fireplace, to the comfortable beds and the immaculate hot tub. But the view and the sounds of the ocean waves at night was the main draw.

Great location overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca with lots of boat and whale traffic to keep us busy! The glass railing on the deck provides protection from the breeze while enjoying the view! The house is located close enough to Sooke for an easy run to town and not far from the west coast beaches!

This home is exactly as pictured (even better, actually!), and the views are truly lovely. We saw many whales, seals and jellyfish right from the back deck. There are lots of fun and beautiful places to explore on the island, but the most rejuvenating and peaceful place on the island was this home. Would return, no doubt!

A Magical Stay in Victoria, BC – Unforgettable Views and an Orca Sighting from the Deck!

Our family had the most incredible vacation at this beautiful home in Victoria, British Columbia. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the peaceful setting, breathtaking ocean views, and the cozy, welcoming feel of the house.The absolute highlight of our trip was seeing an orca swim by—right from the deck! We were enjoying a quiet morning outside when we noticed a dark fin cutting through the water just offshore. It was a single orca, gracefully making its way along the coast. Watching it move through the calm water with the backdrop of the open sea was surreal—like a private showing from nature herself. It was a truly unforgettable moment for the whole family.The home itself was spotless and beautifully maintained, with large windows that filled the space with natural light and offered stunning ocean views from almost every room. The deck became our favorite hangout spot—perfect for sipping coffee in the morning, reading in the afternoon, and stargazing at night.This place is the perfect blend of coastal charm and comfort, with easy access to downtown Victoria and local nature spots, yet far enough away to feel peaceful and private. We made so many wonderful family memories here—and that orca sighting was the cherry on top.We can't wait to return!

Ocean Getaway

We stayed here for five nights with our dog to celebrate my birthday. The house was exactly as pictured and was very clean and well equipped. The listing does not lie- the steps down to the beach are a bit precarious, so it would definitely not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The hot tub seemed very clean and well taken care of- the views were also incredible. There is limited Canadian cell phone network coverage- my phone was connected to AT&T the whole time- but the wifi in the VRBO is very fast and has a good range.

A week in paradise

The property was exactly as described. The house was well stocked with everything you could want to make just about any meal. The views were spectacular and the neighborhood is beautiful.

Short Get-away

The property was a great place to spend some quiet time away. The view is the star attraction here. The property is comfortable and with better weather the available outdoor space would definitely enhance the stay. Minor cleaning issues (e.g. used coffee grounds left in coffee maker by last guest) were discovered at check in and were a bit off-putting and disappointing, but on balance the property was great.

Great family getaway

The home definitely lived up to expectations! Beautiful view, clean, fully stocked kitchen, spare blankets and pillows; all we could ask for. Along with the hot tub, bbq and fire pit, we really did have a wonderful time. I addition communications with Peter and his wife were great. We both love nature and water. Like the most of people, we are hard working couple, sharing our lives with our kids, love kayaking, dancing, trips to Caribbean, good company of friends, meeting new people and spending relaxing time in our ocean front house.
Peter: I spent many years sailing the oceans with my job as a second mate in radio-communication and electronic division. In 1988 I was sailing waters of the Juan de Fuca strait on the way to Vancouver to end my maiden, 135 days voyage. I would never dream that one day, I will be living in Canada in the ocean front house, watching ships going by - just like my vessel did. But here I am!
Ewa: I immigrated from Poland long time ago. Through many hardships in life I learned that I need to follow my dreams professionally and personally. I fell in love in natural beauty of British Columbia, especially West Coast. Now I can be so close to it.
