Second Family Trip to this Lovely Home!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We initially rented this house because it has three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The master bedroom is on the ground floor and has a king-sized bed. The two upstairs bedrooms each have two queen beds, so there was plenty of room for us and our adult children. The house was fully equipped, we just brought our food and clothing. Everything was clean and the beds were fresh. The hot tub was spotless! We really enjoyed the fireplace (plenty of wood provided!) and the outdoor firepit for hot dogs and s'mores. The location is more private than it seems since there are houses nearby, but the landscaping keeps them mostly out of sight. The leaves were gorgeous and the weather was so nice and cool! We enjoyed the nearby Owl Market and the Almost Heaven mini golf in Davis. There is also a very convenient Shop'N'Save in Davis where you can pick up anything you've forgotten. And, of course, the proximity to Canaan Valley Lodge and Blackwater Falls provides other amenities to enjoy!

Reviewer Comments: Four couples meet up at this house to escape & enjoy a WV Nature trip.The location was a perfect meeting spot to relax during the evenings & the hot tub was very spacious & clean. This vacation property is very close to many of West Virginia’s top tourist spots. I would highly recommend.

Great house. Clean. One minor hiccup, the hot water ran out after 1 shower. So our group had to space out our showers.

Very clean and comfortable, good location

Stayed here during a large snowstorm. The driveway and street were plowed multiple times per day. The garage came in very handy for keeping the car sheltered as well as our snowboards. Everything in the house is very well maintained, and the house was not beaten up at all. Many properties here have worn out carpet, but this house was in great shape. It's a flat 10 minute walk to the lodge. I would have given it 5 stars if it was a little closer.

Beautiful Home, close to slopes

It was a bit challenging to walk the dog due to the gate barring guests from the rest of Timberline and the busy main road. Thankfully, there are many trail options nearby. Another thing that would improve the experience would be keyless entry vs needing to stop by the office to pick up and drop off keys.

Great Time

All the kids and adults had a wonderful time. Kids had the best time when the electric went out due to a cut in the electric line. They played charades and hide and go seek in the dark. The twins enjoyed playing cards in the dark by the fireplace. Hiking and shopping in the rain just made it more fun. The house was clean and well maintained. We had stayed there two years ago also and we could not wait to go back.

Perfect location and accommodations for our bike trip

The property was perfect and we really enjoyed our stay. The hot tub was much appreciate since we were tired and sore after our daily bike rides in the mountains :)

Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to Canaan Valley for 15+ years and have rented MANY homes all over the valley from Davis to Old Timberline to Winterset and everything in between. This is by far and away the cleanest home we’ve ever stayed in! It is clutter free, dust free, wonderfully comfy beds, great deck and a well supplied kitchen. As a mom of 3 kids (ages 10, 8, and 3), I can’t thank the owners enough. Their home truly made our stay a delight. Also, it’s so convenient to get to Timberline for skiing and the reopened Owl Market for afternoon coffees. This home is on our short list and can’t wait to come back again.

We had a wonderful time. Everything was neat and clean the location was exceptional. The only thing that would have made our stay a little more convient is if there would have been a walk in shower most of our group were 65 or older. Thank you

The kitchen was stocked well with kitchen pans/plates/utensils etc. The beds were comfortable, and the size was great for 6 adults and children. Hot water runs out quickly if everyone was taking showers, but also replenished in a short time-period. A/C was not working well, but it wasn't too hot outside, so it worked out. Hot tub was awesome! Would recommend the home if you are staying in the area.

Perfect mountain escape

We loved this cabin! You can tell that updates have been recently made (the house is a different color than the picture!). The hot tub was great! Hot when we arrived and no issues with it the whole week. Nice tree swing that the kids enjoyed, great deck for nice days. All rooms were as described and was nice for each to have their own bathrooms. No dressers in the upstairs bedrooms, but it wasn’t a big deal. Close to lots of great things to do in WV. We went fishing, drove up to Dolly Sods, hiked Seneca Rocks, visited Smoke Hole Caverns. Great place to stay & would love to visit again!
