With easy access to National Forest Lands, Wildlife Refuge, Wilderness areas, and two State Parks, explore the endless possibilities here. Tucker County has 4 breathtaking seasons to enjoy. In the winter, we pick up much of our annual 150 snowfall from the Great Lakes whenever strong Northwesterly winds drop out of Canada. Spring brings some of the best hunting and fishing, and wildflowers. Escape the heat of summer where temperatures rarely exceed the mid 80s. Autumn brings cool temperatures and blazing colors of our extensive hardwood forests.

Beautiful views, everything was clean and we had all amenities we needed. The check in for the actual facility should be sent by regular email as well. The so called “bedroom” up the spiral staircase should not be a bedroom. It was super cold and you’re basically sleeping on the floor. Other than that all was great!

No heat wave in Davis

Lovely location. Comfortable stay. The house does not have AC and I missed that detail during booking but with the windows open and fans provided, it was comfortable. Great views. Kids loved the games and puzzles provided. Definitely need 4wd in snow but perfectly fine gravel road in summer for any car with normal clearance.

A nice holiday retreat

This is the second time we have stayed in a home in North Point, and we love the location vis-a-vis the nearby towns and state parks. This year we came for Thanksgiving week, and were very cozy in this house while the snow came down outside. Please note, if traveling in winter four wheel drive is advisable! With that said, the house was clean and comfortable, the hot tub was fully functional (as was everything else in the house), and we had what we needed in the house. Oh, and the house name - Viewtopia - is well earned! The view is absolutely lovely and makes for a serene environment. Please note a couple things: first, the beds are quite firm and take some getting used to if that isn't your cup of tea; second, you will walk up steps while you settle into this property. I suggest carrying items in through the first (bottom level), and only taking what you need upstairs. Finally, this is a rental home so there is some normal wear and tear. That said, we still recommend this house as an excellent option.

There were so many trails nearby for easy access. Davis was a cute town, too. If we are ever in the area, we would come back! Very responsive on AirB&B!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Viewtopia near Davis, WV. It's perfectly located for easy access to several recreation areas, including Timberline Mountain, Canaan Valley Ski Resort, White Grass cross country ski area, and Blackwater Falls State Park. The house was clean, warm, and cozy with amazing mountain views. There were plenty of dishes and towels for our week's use, and the laundry and kitchen facilities met our needs. Great location on the mountain. Everything we needed for cooking. Close to all the recreation in the area. Only downfall was the spiral staircase on the upper floor. Could not use that room but we are sure teenagers would love the space. Not sure how we missed that detail but it was really 3 bedrooms for our family. We had a great time and had everything we really needed. Thank you!

Good but outdated

We loved the location and views of the house. Although the house had everything we needed and more, it could use some upgrades and maintenance. It seems like it is stuck in 1989. Beds were uncomfortable. But sheets and towels seemed nice and clean. Hot tub was a highlight for us although it wasn't vacuumed lately and collected some gross hair etc.
