Good owner but house is unmaintained

For the most part everything was amazing. The owner was very responsive and helpful. But, the house itself was very dirty and needed improvements. For example, there were a lot of spider webs around the house outside and there wasn’t good landscaping in the backyard. Also, if someone was to shower at the same time as another person the other person would either lose hot water or lose water pressure, where water would be dripping from the shower head. Lastly, the house needed more amenities because between 13 people the owner only gave us 4 rolls of toilet tissue, no dishwasher detergent, and no laundry detergent.

Thanks for taking the time to review your stay, Suj. The homeowners asked us to share the following response: "Thank you very much for your review. We take our guests' input very seriously and want to make sure we do everything we can to improve upon anything where we may have fallen short. We really want all of our guests to enjoy their stay and feel comfortable in our home. We have guests on a weekly basis and do our best to turn the home around to a high standard between each stay. Regarding the spider webs: based on your feedback, we had our cleaning crew go through the entire home (inside and outside) and sweep any hard to reach corners of the home to get rid of spider webs or dust in hard to reach places. Our home is in the middle of the woods and our guests often like to keep an open door to enjoy the beauty outdoors, particularly during the warmer months. Unfortunately, this can contribute to dust and particles making their way inside the home and occasionally building up in hard to reach corners. We plan on increasing the number of toilet paper rolls left behind for each stay. As far as the water pressure, you are correct that our community in Lake Harmony Estates suffers from low water pressure. This is because the water to the house is supplied by a well. Note that our well pump is new and recently replaced in May of 2017. Unfortunately, what this means is that it can be difficult when multiple showers are running at the same time. As far as dishwasher and laundry detergent, we encourage our guests to bring these items. Some guests may have allergies or preferences for certain types of cleaning products. However, we will consider adding detergent to our home for future stays. We sincerely apologize your stay wasn't up to your standards. We'd be happy to discuss the matter further and see if we can find a more amenable resolution. Thanks again for staying with us and we appreciate your feedback very much." Best, the Evolve Team

Beautiful location and large property

We had a large family reunion and this house did not disappoint. We needed all 22 sleeping arrangements and everyone had the space they needed. A few complaints but, the property manager resolved with a refund however, the fireplace in the family room had no glass and the entire living room wreaked of has. It was unfortunate that we couldn’t use it for the homey cabin feel. Aside from that, highly recommend if you need a large house! We would stay again:)

FALL FOLIAGE GETAWAY

The house was clean, spacious, and nicely located in the Poconos, near Lake Harmony, Jim Thorpe, and Hickory Run State Park. The kitchen was adequate for meal preparation, but the living room furniture, dining room table, and bedding need an update.

Perfect location and house for large group!

We stayed at this property for a girls weekend and it was everything we could have wanted! Excellent location close to the beach, great restaurant and bar. Spacious enough so we didn’t feel overcrowded. We were lucky enough to see beautiful wildlife in the backyard and use the hot tub with a beautiful view! Would highly recommend!

Great house/owner

We had a great experience during our stay here. The owner was very responsive and went above beyond whenever we reached out. Guest left iPad at the house and owner got it back to them safely at his own expense. House was clean and no problems with appliances. Highly recommended.

Great house, great location

We had a great experience at this property. Only recommendation is to bring cups & towels because not many are not provided. Would definitely stay here again!

Will Stay Again! LOVED IT!

I spent a weekend with friends at this location and would definitely recommend, especially for large groups. House is very spacious, beds are large and comfortable, so much space in the livingroom/kitchen area, hot tub was a plus! Driveway was huge and fits up to 10 cars! The owner was so kind and responsive. Offered great suggestions for the area and was a pleasure to speak to. 10/10 will stay here again!

Great location and comfortable home

We rented the house with just our immediate family. We found the house to be beautiful, clean, and in a great location. We ran into few minor issues such as the hot tub being cold and not being able to use the fireplace or dishwasher, and no toilet paper in the house (yikes!). The owner immediately jumped in to help. After a bit of a rocky start we settled in and really enjoyed our stay. The kids loved it and the proximity to the ski resorts was just minutes. Perfect. The beds are very comfortable and every room has a working smart TV. If you have a party of over 8 people please bring paper cups. We found the kitchen was not fully stocked for larger groups. If you have young children bring plasticware for them. Everything is glassware. There basically bring what you need and don’t assume it’s there. We had to run to the grocery store for items we assumed were there. (broom, dustpan, toilet paper, dish drying towels). Overall this did not impact the fun we had on vacation.

Beautiful, clean and friendly

My families is very big 7 brothers and sister and kids this has become our annual thanksgiving trip where we rent a home and enjoy thanksgivings weekend together. This home was cleaner then expected had all the amenities you could need. The home owner was extremely responsive even on a holiday weekend. The dish wash was broken and very hard for them to have repaired in time he felt so bad he refunded a small portion of the stay. I did not even request it. Minor issues during the stay but one of my brothers is mr fix it so we actually repaired anything before leaving! Maybe because of the holiday weekend but the property manager never responded to any questions, I felt bad texting the owner as I know that’s why they hire a property manager. But each time he responded in a timely fashion. I would recommend you staying here, the bottom rooms are a little loud not sure exactly why but even minimal walking in the main level felt very loud if your a light sleeper bring ear plugs otherwise perfect and we will be staying again! Written from iPhone no chance to check the above sorry for errors in advance

Birthday get away

House was great! Very spacious and exactly as shown in the pictures. The property manager was very informative and responsive. It was a group of 13 of us and the dinner table was perfect for all of us. The hot tub provided the relaxing escape we all needed. Had a great time around the fire pit making smores with loved ones while taking in the beautiful view of the nighttime sky and stars. There was an issue with the dishwasher due to previous guests, but the manager informed us of the issue prior to our arrival and offered solutions/accomodations. Thank you Sal! There was also and issue with one of the door handles, but once issue was reported, Sal responded very quickly and sent someone to assist. The rooms are very spacious, with plenty of sleeping room for a large group. Overall, we had a great time and property management provided great customer service. Highly recommend this property for large groups.

It was very nice stay, we enjoyed a lot.

It was very nice, we had a lot of fun. The house have some broken thinks here and there. But it was ok. The owner is not responding for the calls or messages, that was the one issue we faced Still overall it was good.

Great Stay!

The check in and check process were easy and the hosts were communicative. Excellent space for a big group of people to have more than enough space for all. Fantastic deck and hot tub as well.

Just as pictured

Amazing house, great location, perfect for a large group and exactly as pictured! We had a great time and was very comfortable all weekend. A few odds and ends missing at the house (very little silverware, ice maker in the fridge wasn’t working, some minor house repairs in the process, bear box for garbage was not secure and still had a bear get at it) and didn’t hear anything from the agency once we were there even though we reached out with questions. No major problems though and would def rent again!
