AMAZING STAY

I would absolutely visit Arizona again just to stay at this wonderful home. The pictures do not do it justice… definitely one of the more unique places I’ve ever stayed. Hosts were amazing too!

We had a great time at the Margarita. It was the perfect size for me, my wife, and our dog. It was close to many amenities, but still felt private. The hot tub was absolutely fantastic.

A unique mountain gem with views!!

This was unexpected and delightful, we arrived at nite, the switch backs up were daunting!! The View was simply amazing, yery cute home with comfortable bed. Try it!!

Place is easy to find in the daylight. Pretty house. Comfy bed. Owners seemed nice. Hot tub was amazing. Views were beautiful.

Overall good

The drive up is very scary I will start by saying that. It is incredibly steep, very sharp turns and I was worried multiple times my car would not make it. After getting up to the gate and realizing I was not given a gate opener I luckily found a neighbor who lead me to the owners house. I was not given any information about a gate opener prior to check in and my vrbo messages were unanswered. I was given the gate code and house code then drove up the again scary drive just to realize the code for the house was incorrect. After driving down to their house again since I had no phone # I was finally able to get into the house. Beyond all of this stress the house is beautiful and our stay was great. I just wish I had some warning! Also no WiFi at the house and not great phone service

Hilltop retreat

The road up with 3 switchbacks was well worth the view. It’s peaceful and perfect for two people. The owner communicated quickly and responded quickly when we didn’t know we had to ask for a WiFi box ahead of time. The kitchen is moderately stocked. They have a Mr. Coffee and had some ground coffee waiting for us! If you like firm pillows, no need to bring your own. We watched the sunrise from the top of the lane, sunsets from the deck and hot air balloons from the living room chair. We had no issues with hot water or the AC. . It was a lovely stay.

AMAZING view but cold shower

I saw on a previous review that the shower never became hot…but honestly it was totally worth it for the AMAZING view and perfect get away! Fran was super helpful and accommodating and I would 10/10 stay again!

Beautiful location.

Wonderful location! Beautiful views. Close to everything but yet very private. A little tricky at first finding the place and getting in but after a time or 2 it's not a problem.

Such beautiful views! Tricky entrance

The private driveway is somewhat tricky to locate - it's more of a dirt path than a street -- but the end result is worth it! The views are amazing. The mexican decor of this home is full of character with just the right amount of theme. Didn't use the AC due to our visit's time of year but the heater worked excellent. Also didn't use the gas grill but it looked clean and up to date. The hot tub was the highlight of our trip, very well maintained, clean and comfortable.

Our stay was perfect from the start. Beautiful views from all directions, very comfortable and clean. Loved the decor! Relaxing and private. Host was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Truly unique property. A gem.

Great experience! You can't beat this combo of price, location and view. Pros: Owners responsive, easy to work with, unintrusive. Sunsets unrivaled. Private, yet close to everything. The house has character. Loved the cantina/mexican theme. Tile floors throughout. Multiple areas to sit/relax/ unwind with views to the horizon. Think Margaritaville with a multi-million dollar view. The huge saguaro right next to, and I mean RIGHT NEXT TO, the hot tub is chock full of nesting birds, bees, hummingbirds. I spent an entire morning sipping coffee watching the wildlife around this big, old cactus. The kingsize bed is comfortable, the bedroom cool (Stayed in early June), and quiet, even with the busy 101 just a half mile away. Things to be aware of (not necessarily Cons): It's in the desert. Pay attention to where you step. A scorpion crossed my path in the driveway. Staying in early June, with all the west facing windows, the house got warm in the afternoon. Just turn the a/c down. In the cooler months, I would imagine those same windows are probably a huge plus. Be prepared for the adventure of the driveway the first time. It's narrow and winding. The house sits at the top of a small mountain, after all. Shower water pressure was light during my stay and water never got hot, though bathroom and kitchen sink hot water was fine. (!?) I hesitate to add this as I never gave the owners an opportunity to address it because, honestly, it was inconsequential compared to everything else. Overall, a fantastic experience I want to have again. I'd recommend without reservation. Thank you Fran and Laura for sharing this unique property!
