This property was ideally located close to town and easy distances to attractions. House was super clean, and had all the necessary amenities for a great stay.The house is next to a major road, so some street noise, but not with the windows closed.

Very nice older home. It has been updated in places like the kitchen and bathrooms. The owner met us at check in and was available if needed, he lives up in the next house. Be warned, bring mosquito repellent, there is a small pond close by(house and land is part of a ranch). We slept 7 comfortably.

Relaxing stay in Rapid City

This was a wonderful home to use while in the Rapid City area. Convenient to all of the national parks and monuments as well as Ellsworth AFB and Rapid City. The home was clean and morning coffee on the deck watching the rabbits, birds, and horses was an amazing way to start our busy days. I would highly recommend this place to families- a nice two story home with a yard so everyone can spread out and relax after a long day of sight seeing.

Amazing stay in Rapid City

We had an amazing stay at this home. Located in the rolling hills, a rural feel but close to both the city and all of the areas attractions. The property was very clean and we really appreciated the open space and view of horses and other wildlife while we were relaxing at the house.

Vacation

It was a very relaxing place to stay. Had everything we needed. Great proximity to Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, Custer state park, and other points of interest. The only possible drawback is that the house does not have central air. It did have a wall unit and a window air conditioner in one of the bedrooms. We stayed in August and without central air the upstairs bedroom became warm. If we opened the windows in the evening it helped.

Cute Ranch Home

We had a good experience at this cute ranch home. You can tell they’ve put effort into updating the home to make it comfortable. There was plenty of parking, it was quiet even though it’s close to the highway, and clean. Check in and check out was very easy too. I recommend staying here!

Convenient location but won’t be returning

The property listing was a fairly accurate representation of the home but there were some surprises. The main level contains 1 bedroom and 1 bath which is fine but the layout lacks functionality. The bedroom cannot be accessed without first entering the bathroom which has no lock on the door. We were also disappointed when we arrived to find nests above the deck and patio furniture covered in bird droppings. Then I was somewhat stunned when I read a notice on the fridge explaining how the property owners welcome the presence of birds and bats around and even on the home and expect you to do the same. “…please excuse their waste, don’t leave the doors open and enjoy sharing this home on the range.” On our last night we found mouse droppings on the kitchen counter and as we left the next morning, there were bats clinging to the brick inches away from the front door. Sorry. We enjoy critters around the property. We just don’t want to share the house with them.

Nice cabin for Black Hills vacation

We enjoyed our stay at this location. The owner was very helpful when we ran low on TP, and everything worked well inside. It was nice to have a place to grill and cook food after a long day of black hills tourism. We would definitely come back and stay again.

Vacation stay

Very clean and comfortable for our family to stay . Nice location, could drive and see the black hills attractions and come back and rest and make some of our own meals. Close enough to town but still felt the rural benefits! Would highly recommend this home! Property manager was very accommoding and close by if we needed anything.

Great location

This was a great location to stay at to visit Rapid City, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and all of the amazing things around. The house was great and offered plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 kids. Spaces for everyone to spread out and enjoy their time.

Dog Paradise

Pastoral setting outside of Rapid City. Great yard for our to dogs to run. Great deck to sit in at nite to watch/listen to the birds and fabulous plains thunderstorm.

Would Not Recommend

Booked house for 4 nights. 4 adults 40 and over. Noticed a strong urine smell in downstairs bedroom. Spent one night in downstairs bed, stripped sheets off and discovered the mattress was the source of the stench. I contacted the owner, who showed up promptly. We discussed a new mattress being purchased and we would help him unload it. He also admitted that the previous guests had 4 kids and one of them had an "accident" in that bed. 30 mins later the owner returns and states that he is not going to replace the mattress, but have it cleaned, instead. We were to receive one free night to compensate. I refuse to sleep on a mattress that has been urinated on, regardless of how it has been "cleaned." This is both unsanitary and disgusting. We left that morning after staying for 1 night. Our attempts to have 3 nights refunded instead of just one were turned down. This is not how I would treat guests who have paid to stay in my home. What a horrible experience. Starting to think there are no good people left. Would not recommend this home to anyone. It is overpriced for what it is. Inside was ok, garage was a mess, outside not well cared for. There was a small tree growing through the front porch and everything is overgrown.

Nice place.

The layout of the house was just what we were looking for. The property was beautiful with wildlife just outside. If you like birdwatching this place is wonderful for that right from the kitchen table! It was conveniently located for the things we wanted to see and do.

Wonderful place

We really enjoyed our stay! Everything was pretty much on par with what was in the property listing which was great! If I had to critique anything...which is hard really because we really did enjoy our stay...it would be that the property accepts dogs so we brought our dogs. So awesome! But it is right off the highway and there is no fenced area to let the dogs out so we had to be super careful since we are in an unfamiliar area and my dogs LOVE to chase rabbits (and there are a lot of rabbits here-LOL). We were just a little paranoid that they would run around to the front and end up too close to the road. So even a small fenced area for the dogs to go out would be super helpful. The only other thing was that some of the deck boards felt a bit loose. Maybe not an issue now, but another winter could do them in. :) Otherwise, the house was close enough to Wal-Mart so we could get our groceries and eat at the house every day which was perfect! Also, since everything we wanted to see is so spaced out we felt like this property was kind of central to be able to space out those drives and still have a nice evening at the house! We loved it! Thank you so much for sharing your property with us!
