We planned at the last minute, and felt very fortunate to find this house to accommodate us and our daughter and her family. Great location on the island, excellent views and proximity to the ocean. The lower level bonus room turned out to be a nice escape for the 2 oldest boys. Kitchen is well laid out and I especially appreciated the spices as we needed a little cinnamon. Large kitchen table was great. An extra bar of soap and dishwasher detergent would have saved an extra trip to g-store. (Minor issues) We would be interested to stay here again.

There were positives to this property. The location was convenient, parking was easy, and we appreciated the large dining area, nice linens, and outdoor shower.Unfortunately, the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety were extremely disappointing, especially for nearly 1,000 per night. Upon arrival, there was a strong musty/mold smell and visible mold on multiple air vents. There was significant dust and cobwebs, and the couch was dirty enough that we covered it before sitting down. The home simply did not feel thoroughly cleaned, if cleaned at all.There were also safety concerns. The staircase is extremely steep with only a partial handrail, and elderly family members needed assistance using it. The deck/handrails were splintering, and the freezer randomly dispensed ice onto the floor, creating a slipping hazard. I would not consider this home particularly kid, baby, or elderly-friendly.The game room is in an enclosed garage with no interior access, requiring you to go outside and down two flights of stairs. The musty odor was so strong we considered it unusable, and the TV appeared damaged with a line through the screen.We were not trying to be nitpicky, these issues genuinely impacted our stay. We understand beach homes experience wear and tear, but there is a difference between dated and poorly maintained. At this price point, we expected much better and cannot recommend it in its current condition.

It has a mold issue which you smell and see. the garage which is turned into play area and apperars nice in pictuers isn't well kept and there is no couch.If you plan on using grill be prepare to clean last user mess as well as bar-b-que utensils.Veiw is great,beach is wonderful if you can not do stairs and short hike you might want to reconsider. the house has great potential but the mold issue is bad and would keep me from returning

This is a very clean place and comfortably housed 7 people. For the price, I do believe it is need of some repair. The bathrooms could use a bit of work and the interior stairs are very steep.
