Shipwatch

The Space:
This waterfront Shipwatch Villa is located in the West Beach Village at the front of Kiawah Island and features a fantastic ocean view right from a smartly decorated living area. Spread out over the comfortable couch to enjoy some good shows with the large flatscreen TV then take advantage of the full kitchen to whip up a little whimsey for your guests to enjoy over the outdoor deck dining table. While you're out there, be sure to take in the natural surroundings because the ocean, palm trees, and dunes are all within view.

What's nearby:
You'll be within steps of the fantastic Kiawah Island beach where you'll find over 10 miles of shoreline to walk or bike upon. If you're feeling like some local fare, you'll find great restaurants right on the beach such as The Ocean Room, Jasmine Porch At the Sanctuary, and Loggerhead Grill, all less than three miles away. Take the kids out to explore miles of paved bike and nature trails that wind about the island. Downtown Charleston is only 25 miles away, where the family can check out pirate tours, the Gibbes Museum of Art, landscaped gardens, and live concerts. And if you want something a little more local, take a short trip into Freshfields Village (about 2 miles) where you’ll be able to shop for local produce, explore cute boutiques, and lose yourself in the local culture.

Good Location with easy access to beach

Great location and nice property. Very well equipped. Problems were with maintenance with closet doors off the track, broken top rack in dishwasher and missing/broken handles on dresser.I highly recommend the property, but hope the management team would pay attention to maintenance.

Great location, close & quick beach access ! Actually not very crowded, wonderful stay! Enjoyed the Freshfields district!

Conference center

Condo itself is lovely. Unfortunately it is across the parking lot from the new Kiawah conference center. A little noisy from time to time.

Nice place, great service

Nice property on Kiawah for a getaway. Good view from balcony of the beach. Note for future immediate future travelers. I was there the 2nd week of December 2021, and there's a big construction project on the other end of the building. Lots of noise and work that looks like it will take at least a month. Didn't really bother me but something to keep in mind if that thing concerns you. Great property manager responses.

Fantastic Stay!

We had a great stay in Kiawah Island. Property is as pictured and the view of the ocean is beautiful. Place was clean, parking was simple and overall it was a great stay!

Perfect spot for us!

Fun long weekend with friends for annual golf outing and this was the perfect place for us to call home while in Kiawah. Access to the beach was. terrific change and hearing the ocean at night was the best!

Incredible Vacay

This is a lovely condo. Everything is as described and incredibly clean. We truly loved the ease of getting to the beach and enjoying beautiful sunrises and sunsets on the patio.

Lovely Stay

My husband and I visited Kiawah for a conference. The West Beach Village conference center is conveniently located right across the street so I walked to my conference every morning. It is also just steps away from the beach. The condo itself was clean and modern. Great stay!

Beautiful but stinky

As soon as we walked in it smelled like a hamster/rabbit cage. We tried to air it out but the smell never went away. It was so strong. The floor was dirty and some Lysol or room freshener by the door would have made the trip so much better.

Great views and private balcony

We really enjoyed staying at this location. The proximity to the beach, the views, lots of privacy but also lots of windows - was all great! It was fun being at the same height as the tops of the palm trees. Heartily recommend!

Too many fees and other charges doubling rental rate

We used VRBO to rent our vacation condo. We were charged service fees by Vrbo and several different types of fees by Vacasa. Ended up doubling our rental charges for the place.

great condo

this place was awesome! we really enjoyed its location on the island and the updated features. the sunrise was gorgeous from inside the condo itself. we had a great time and I even beat my husband 3 times in a game of Yahtzee that was there! the only thing was we wish the coffee cups were bigger! other than that this place was amazing and we will be back!

Very nice property

Perfect size for a couple. Very clean. Beautiful sunrises in the winter. Nicely appointed. We had a very nice stay and hope to return.
