Pelican Watch

The Space:
Watch the dolphins as they swim in from the sea and down the river from this second-floor villa. An open living and dining area and spectacular sunsets await you from the poplar deck.

The chef of the group will love using all-new appliances (flattop Range and oven, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator) in the well-equipped kitchen. This villa has a 75-inch TV with a Blu-ray player in the living area and a TV with a DVD player in the bedroom for entertainment. The bedroom also features a king bed, a desk workspace (GigE internet provided), and a beautifully upgraded ensuite bathroom. The guest bathroom showcases all-new tile flooring and vanity. The villa features both front and rear entrances and a private deck.

This home is 50 yards from the beach and about 300 yards from the Seabrook Beach Club. A Seabrook Island Amenity Card is available with this property for the daily fee. The Amenity Card gives you access to the Beach Club (with two outdoor pools and a beach area), the restaurants, golf, tennis, the equestrian center, and the Lake House (with one outdoor pool, a fitness center, and an indoor pool). This gorgeous vacation rental property includes parking, 24-hour security in a gated community, central air conditioning, cable TV with over 100 available channels, internet, a DVD player, a fully-equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer, linens and bath towels, a departure housekeeping service, and a starter supply of paper products and detergents.

You'll have lots of terrific restaurants nearby, so you'll always have delicious dining options. Captain Mike Tucker Fly Fishing & Light Tackle Fishing Charters is only six-and-a-half miles east and ready to take you out to reel in your daily limit of fish!

Seabrook Island Club amenities and the Lake House Fitness Center require an Amenity card (deposit required for each card, and/or a daily/weekly fee to use the Club facilities). Club facilities include restaurants, outdoor pools, golf, tennis, pickleball, and more. Some activities have additional fees. All restaurants-only Amenity card charges are accepted (cash/credit cards not accepted). Visit the Seabrook Island Club's Guest Amenity Guide online for information and to purchase Amenity cards.

Great view

Great view and location! Easy access to beach. Well stocked kitchen and baths. Neither TV worked, so I just used my iPad. Decent WiFi but if you have TMobile, limited cell. I emailed owner a question before my visit but never heard back.

Quiet and Relaxing

This property was exactly as described. Pictures are accurate. The view of the sound/ocean is beautiful and is a very short distance. It is a natural beauty with deer, rabbits, one cute lizard and many different birds to see and listen to. It was clean and inviting. If you watch TV it only had local channels. It didn't bother us at all though. Neighbors were quiet & friendly. Does have a flight of steps to get to rental, We loved the area and the rental. Especially the back deck. So relaxing! There is a boat rental place nearby, and it was fun renting the boat! This is a great place for mature couples and families.

A few days at Seabrook

The condo was bright and clean. Well equipped for simple meals in to enjoy the outstanding view off the private deck. Accessibility to the beach was great! This made it easy to enjoy long walks on the beach especially in the evening to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. A perfect place to enjoy a relaxing beach holiday. As stated above the location was perfect but there is space for improvement of the condo. The pullout bed mattress is horrendous. Made for uncomfortable sleeping for the week. Also the price of the amenity card and gym access is pretty steep. In the off season the amenity card is not worth the price but to gain access to the gym you need it. Owner should consider including card in the rental price. Cleanliness: overall ok but when the sofa. Ed was pulled out there was a child’s car underneath as well as a few Cheerios. Not cleaned very well since the last visitors. Overall a great few days spent I at Seabrook. I would like to come back again!

A lot of money for 5 cable channels

The condo itself is great . Clean spacious and a great view. However I wish the advertising matched what you actually received. They indicate “ cable tv “ .. yeah 5 channels!! That’s it !! I had more channels when I watched sky king as a kid ! I invited friends over to watch the football game .. nothing !! WHAT ? All I ask is you be upfront with me before I purchase and comitt . Just say 5 channels available, and I would have gone elsewhere. Kinda sad to be deceived.

The get-a-way we needed

We came off a stressful week and to be able to sit on the deck and watch the gorgeous sunset, dolphins and pelicans was the breath of fresh air we needed. Location is perfect. Sunsets from the deck and long walks on the beach as the sun came up. Comfy couch, 2 full bathrooms, everything needed to rest and relax. Check in was so simple. We had bikes delivered and rode to lunch each day. From Pelican Watch to the marina is about 3 miles, where there are several restaurants. Harris Teeter is just a bit further to stock up on any supplies, along with other shops and restaurants. We didn’t need the amenity card during our stay. We would love to return and would stay in the same unit!

Pelican Watch Villa

The location of this property cannot be beat. It is a perfect spot for walking the beach and getting to the club house. With the exception of salt and pepper the kitchen is very well appointed with plenty of the things you need for cooking and eating in the unit. That is the good. The less good is that there is not an amenity card included which added an additional $25/day or $150 for a week. This felt off since there were already a lot of fees associated with the booking. (Just an aside, this booking is actually through an agency called Vacasa.) As others have echoed, this property desperately needs an umbrella or awning. We did not think it would be such a requirement in October, but it really is needed. Some of the nicest times of the day were times we couldn't use the porch because of the heat. Another negative was that when we arrived, there were a couple of dirty towels left on the bed which is just sloppy in my opinion. The unit itself is tired with peeling wallpaper and due for an update.

nice getaway

the rental was very clean and well stocked. nothing against the rental, we forgot their were 18 step on the stairs. we are in our late 60's and will need less steps even though we like the great view from the second story.

My son's and I enjoyed the abundance of wildlife we could see off the balcony

We enjoyed watching the deer in the morning and in the evenings the dolphins were amazing had a great time fishing at the beach caught some huge stingray overall our stay at this beautiful condo was amazing thank you

Seabrook Island is a wonderful place to vacation. This unit is a great location with great views. The furnishings are nice but the kitchen and bathrooms could use some updating. A fresh coat of paint would be helpful.

Amazing week at the beach

Wonderful property with awesome ocean views. Loved having coffee on the deck in the mornings and watching 4-6 deer graze just yards from the deck and listening to the surf. The unit was extremely clean, updated and had everything we needed. Would not have changed a thing. We look forward to staying in this home next summer!

The things that make me not rate the unit Very Satisfied is the lack of an umbrella for the balcony. It was hot while we were there and it would have been appreciated. I had actually asked the person with Beachwalker Rentals when I made the reservation about the lack of the umbrella in the photographs of the unit. She said she would inform the owner and assured me there would be one. The other disappointment was the noise from the neighboring balconies. The unit below us to the right had a very loud man and woman who seemed to know everyone who walked by. They were possibly the owners. That can't be helped; however.

This place really does have all the kitchen/cooking supplies you’ll need. I typically bring a set of pans and my good knives when ever we travel because the other places we’ve stayed out were lacking. I was impressed.

Watching deer, rabbits, dolphin, birds, shrimp boats and more was great. The unit was very, very nice. The only suggestion and it is pretty major, they need an umbrella or awning for the deck. It was impossible to be on the deck in the afternoon. The table got too hot to touch. We will return and stay here again.

The unit itself is in need of some updating ( torn wallpaper, vanities are very low and antiquated). There was exactly two washcloths and 3 towels . The are no beach towels ( that was something I missed in the description of amenities). You have to purchase the amenities card as you will need it for access to dining & the pool , which is very nice. It is worth it .I enjoyed sitting on the deck to watch the sunset but you really couldn't eat a meal there as there is no umbrella for the table and it's too hot I thought the unit was a little pricey for the condition of the unit

Reviewer Comments: We were very pleased with this condo...I am picky about decor and it was tastefully done and vaulted ceilings in the den added to the appeal. Kitchen had everything we needed. Best of all was the short walk thru dunes to the beach and the 2nd floor deck view of the water and sky. (We realized that the first floor condos had a ceilinged deck, limiting their views) Mgt company was very easy to work with. We would come back!
