A Place At The Beach offers extensive amenities and one of the best family getaways imaginable - there's practically no reason to ever leave the resort grounds!


Can't you just see the excitement on your children's faces as they approach the outdoor swimming pool and water slide or the nine-hole putt-putt golf course? Don't forget about the hot tub, the shuffleboard, the tennis and basketball courts, the game room, and the gas grills. There's even an indoor pool should the rain ever decide to move in. Ready to hit the beach? You can follow the walkway to the beautiful, white sand of the Crystal Coast and ride the waves, soak up the sun, or collect seashells.


This second-floor condo provides all the comforts of home, including a spacious living room with plenty of seating where you can enjoy your favorite cable TV shows or watch DVDs. Open the sliding glass door, step outside onto the balcony overlooking the courtyard, and unwind in fresh ocean air or watch the sunrise with your morning coffee. You'll also find a fully equipped kitchen with all the necessary major and small appliances, a dining table with seating for four, and additional seating at the kitchen counter.


The bedrooms include a primary suite with a TV, private balcony access, and a private full bathroom. Additional amenities include free WiFi and a laundry room with a full-size, high-efficiency washer/dryer located in the foyer.

Needs a deep clean

Sheets were clean, that’s about it. The beds were comfortable enough but not memory foam. Lot of hair and grime on baseboards. Rugs were dirty. But we love this resort and have been going there for 30 years. Great pools/hot tubs, ball courts, mini golf, etc.

Family vacation

Very spacious condo. My family of eight really enjoyed our stay and had plenty of room. Only downfall is the elevator is all the way across the building which normally wouldn’t be an issue but with all the stuff we had it would have been nice to have one closer. We plan to be back!

Great place at a bargain!

I stayed here with my 2 teenage daughters as well as my teen niece and her boyfriend. We had a blast. Great indoor pool and hot tub, outdoor hot tub, tennis and basketball courts, and large grassy area and playground to play. Ocean view from our deck and quick walk down to the beach. We loved it. Very friendly staff.

Quick stay

The unit was perfect and as described. The 3rd party company involved made it slightly more complicated than previous stays at the same property. Requiring additional stops, websites, etc. this seems to be a trend with Vrbo rentals though.

Has everything you’ll ever need. Comfortable beds and bedding. Courtyard view with some view of the ocean. Easy access however the elevator is on the other end of the building, but it’s only the second floor and the second condo. Has a wet bar area with a wine cooler I believe ( I didn’t look close). Pretty Bummed Out- Needs Cleaned and Updates

Simply not impressed- you are a big resort, so heat your outdoor pool. Not much fun for kids, if it feels like ice cubes. At least use a solar blanket. And, the indoor pool was pretty chilly too, but we managed it easier.

Outdated Condo - Great Complex

The complex and the amenities were wonderful and perfect for our 4 kids but the condo was extremely outdated and needed to be cleaned better. You can tell they don’t put any money into updating what so ever.

Dirty, furniture different, stuff didn't work

The room was dirty, the furniture was different than in the photos, the stove is a fire/injury hazard, people were smoking, eating and drinking around the pools. The whole place needs updating. I went here as a kid (80s and very early 90s) and nothing has changed. It looked like nothing had been deep cleaned since then either.

Overall - Good

It was affordable for early April and a good place for young kids to have plenty of things to do. Our condo was clean but needed a few updates, such as peeling wallpaper in a bathroom and a sliding glass door entry to one of the bedrooms (which had a curtain). The main door had a keyless entry that could not be locked outside using the keyless entry pad. We were also given a key to lock the door, but we had to fidget with it quite a bit to get it to lock. There were no instructions for working the digital thermostat (no buttons), so that took a little time to figure out. Overall, we had a pleasant 2-night stay.

Needs a deep clean

We love APATB and have been visiting annually for 30 years. Have stayed in many units in the property. This is the first stay in a 3 bedroom unit. The extra space was very nice to have. Beds were comfortable enough (not very soft but ok for us). Sheets were clean. Comforters had an odor and needed to be cleaned. Kitchen needs proper stocking. Here were the things we found:Stove burner indicator always blinking/glitching or is lit up solid, even when knobs are off. Master bathroom fan doesn’t workThere are no pot holders, only 1 dish towel and dish clothThere’s No cutting board. Had to purchase one. Only 1 of the knives provided will actually cut anything. The rest chew through what you are trying to cut. Had to purchase knives. Dishwasher did not effectively clean dishes and had to run twice. Most dishes in cabinet were dirty (had dried on food bits, probably from dishwasher not working well), all had to be washed prior to using. There was hair everywhere, some/a lot of it looked like animal hair. Baseboards, bathrooms, rugs, under beds, etc. Unit is overdue for a deep clean. There were dirty socks and small toys under the small bedroom twin beds. Middle bathroom toilet runs more than it should. All the rugs need to be shampooed or replaced. Obvious grime on some of them. We pulled them and left in the laundry room to not have to walk on them. Crock pot was an appreciated kitchen appliance, but it is slow, even on high setting, so start it early.
