Nice condo

Loved the pools and location to everything. The new updated flooring and furniture is so nice! Could use some minor upgrades but overall a great stay and would book again! Love the 3 rooms option this condo offers.

Very nice unit and well equipped. The only thing not quite right was the kitchen faucet. Stiff to turn on but wobbly and will run a bit if not turned off hard enough. The other thing (not a problem) is that it is in need of a mildew cleaner in the bathroom.Location was great and grounds are lovely.Would definitely come back.

Beautiful, bright clean place. Roomy and comfortable for 3 adults; balcony overlooks ocean even though on first floor. Vacasa was super easy to work with!

A good week

Sands Villa is a great place to stay. The pool is great and having an outdoor bathroom is the best. Villa 121 was nice but sofa covering could use an update and the carpet was raveling at the seams. We still had a fun week.

Nice Property

Our family of six was late to the game when it came to booking our annual vacation. We wanted something close to the beach (ocean view) that was reasonably priced. This first floor unit is small, but it checked all our boxes for our stay. The ocean is visible over the dunes. The beach is a five-minute walk. The three bedrooms and two bathrooms were clean and sufficient for our needs (I personally liked the shower in the master bath). We ate in most meals to save money, and the kitchen/dining area was just right. Sands Villa is less than a mile from our favorite restaurant. We had a great week.

We're thrilled to hear that Sands Villa checked all the boxes for your family’s beach getaway and that you enjoyed the ocean view, convenient beach access, and the well-equipped kitchen. It’s great to know the bedrooms and bathrooms met your needs and that you had a relaxing week close to your favorite restaurant. We truly appreciate you choosing Vacasa for your annual vacation and hope to welcome you back for many more memorable stays!

Great little vacation condo!

It is about a 1/4 mile walk to the beach, but there is a nice walkway and you also pass the pool on your way. We enjoyed the indoor pool and the hot tub! It was nice sitting on the balcony, watching the rabbits and birds. I enjoyed seeing all of the boats at the ocean. The condo has everything you need and I felt safe with the code to get into the place and the code on my door. It was clean! We would visit again.

Great stay for a week at AB!

Room is great. Our 8th year staying here. Clean. Has everything we need for a full week. Updated flooring and furniture. 3 bedrooms are a must for our fam. Appliances could use updating but its no big deal and doesn't leave us wanting to book elsewhere. The outdoor and indoor pools are super nice. Lots of seating available. Plenty of carts available for your luggage etc. Elevators are quick. Security is on site and will check for pool tags so keep them handy. This year they added a blue walkway mat from the dock to the beach.....the BEST THING EVER! made pulling a wagon so much easier! Thank you!!!

Thank you so much for being a loyal guest and choosing to stay with us for your eighth year—that truly means a lot to us! We appreciate your honest feedback about the appliances needing updating. While they didn’t impact your decision to return, we’ll be sure to share your comments with our local team as we continually strive to enhance our homes.

Convenient with nice amenities

Sands Villa has more than we expected amenity wise. Playground, basketball and tennis courts, nice indoor and outdoor pools, super close beach access with a deep beach, elevators and luggage carts available, and close to the bridge and Fort Macon. The condo itself was clean, they provided sheets, towels, dish washing soap and dishwasher/clothes washing pods and had a lot of kitchen stuff. (Bring cookie sheet and Keurig pods if you want them. Also, I would bring your own shower and hand soaps.). I was impressed with the quick and considerate help via text and phone from Vacasa.

Great location!

Condo was clean and well located to enjoy the beach as well as the local food scene in Morehead City. It had a kitchen with all the basics we needed, including a drip coffee maker and a keurig! The AC worked well amd it was a quiet time of year (firat week of october). And the pool was open into October although Vacasa had told us it would be closed. The less good but not big deals: First, pillows were low quality so recommend bringing your own. Second, despite instructions on which remotes to use for which things, they didnt align to the instructions. Finally the sliding door to the balcony needs some maintenance.

Gone Downhill

We have been staying at Sands Villas specifically in unit 121 every year for at least 6 years. This unit has really gone downhill. The place is still ok— it has space to comfortably house 5-6 people for a week at the beach and the complex is in a safe area with great amenities and has easy access to a fantastic beach. However- this unit needs some help. We have been pretty pleased with it over the years, though we were never blown away. But this year, we walked in to find a giant tear in the carpeting which was FILTHY, a burn in the granite counters (I mean- how hot did something have to be to burn the granite?), the kitchen cabinet doors were crooked, the door handle to the pocket door to one of the bedrooms was missing, leaving a big hole in the door (no privacy) and the furniture has to be the original furniture of the original owner many, many years ago. There are probably 30 years worth of dirty feet stains on the coffee table. In the kitchen, there was only one decent frying pan to cook with but 30 different baking pans. I guess a lot of people like to bake breads, cookies & cupcakes at the beach but not scrambled eggs and bacon. Who knew? I hope the owner reads this review because we were pretty disappointed by how junky this unit has become. It’s time to take a hard look at what you are offering your guests & think about what you would need and expect out of a place YOU would stay for a week. It’s time to replace the dirty, uncomfortable furniture & mattresses (and comforters), provide a truly fully stocked kitchen with things people actually need (like more than one frying pan & some measuring cups/spoons). I understand not wanting to spend a lot of money on stuff in a rental unit, but Walmart has some really nice, NEW, stuff that won’t break the bank. We will likely not stay in this unit again & find a unit that is cleaner and more comfortable. We LOVE Sands Villas, but we’ve lost our love for unit 121 and that’s really sad. Like I said, we’ve stayed in this unit for at least 6 years in a row so we know how decent this condo used to be compared to our experience this year. It’s time to make some changes. You’ve lost a loyal renter by showing us the lack of care you have for your guests’ experience.
