New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

Don't let the playful name fool you - TanOurFannies, a 3,140-square-foot Oceanfront-Dog-friendly home, with private pool, hot tub, pool table, and elevator , is serious vacation fun. This oceanfront five-bedroom house has a near-perfect resort design and a large furnished sundeck that wraps around the entire east side of the home. Topping this special home is a Widow's Watchtower with seating and postcard views of the ocean and sound. The ground level has concrete parking with an easily accessible first-level entrance.

This home is off the main highway in a neighborhood that is great for walking, biking, and walking. Everyone will be happy in the extra-large game room, and enjoy the wet bar with a full fridge, a microwave, and a sink. A laundry nook is convenient for all your laundry needs. You'll have a pool table, a game table, and a well-furnished media corner anchored by an extra-large streaming TV with surround sound and a DVD player. Around the corner are sleeping quarters with a pyramid bed and a nearby full bath with a shower. This level has deck access to the oceanfront swimming pool with a hot tub and a furnished sundeck. Recently renovated, the pool area now features a tropical bar with hot and cold water, a fridge, outdoor shower, and outdoor bathroom.

The second level opens with a large oceanfront king main first bedroom and a king main second bedroom offering streaming TV, a full bath with a tub/shower, and access to a large, shaded, oceanfront deck with deck furniture. The third bedroom has two bunks, great for the kids. The fourth bedroom has a queen bed, streaming TV, and deck access, and is close to a hallway half-bath.

It's all eyes open to the ocean on the third level which includes tall cathedral ceilings and plank flooring throughout this open floor plan. The great room has a comfortable living area with a large streaming TV and DVD player. The large kitchen has stainless appliances, two dishwashers, and a breakfast bar. The dining area has a large table and a west sunset deck. This floor also has a south-facing screened porch with a picnic table and ocean to sound views.

The private pool will open seasonally from 04/01/2026 and close 10/10/2026. Dates are subject to change.
Free Pool Heat April 1- May 29, and September 12- October 9, 2026
The home is equipped with an elevator and accessibility-friendly ramp
You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check-in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

Perfect beach getaway!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this home! Everything was spotless — the cleanliness really stood out from the moment we walked in. The location couldn’t be better; just a short walk to the beach, which made it so easy to go back and forth with the family. The house had plenty of space for everyone to relax, and it was perfect for hosting family gatherings. From the well-equipped kitchen to the cozy living areas and outdoor space, everything we needed for a fun and comfortable stay was provided. Highly recommend!

Felt like a true beach house

Really nice everybody did what they wanted whenever they wanted. Beach, pool, sit on the veranda whatever. Had lots of fun together.

The house is set up well, and the location is great for access to the beach and to shopping, restaurants, etc. The views from the Crow’s Nest are awesome, but be careful because some maintenance is needed!

Perfect Beach Vacation Home

This house was just perfect for our stay. Great layout, played a lot of pool and lounged on the couches. Just a short climb over a dune to get to the beach. None of the surrounding towns are overly touristy which was awesome. Beaches weren’t overcrowded either. Saw a great sunrise from the top deck. Kitchen had almost everything we needed and more. Company was very responsive and helpful when needed.

Amazing vacation!!

The house was beautiful and we loved the elevator. The only negative was the sand spurs (small spikey balls) in the grass. They got in ours and our puppy‘s feet. Otherwise an amazing vacation. We definitely recommend it.

The house was perfect for our needs. The kitchen was well stocked. I loved the Wiifeeo skillets so much that I ordered some for our home and the elevator was a huge bonus as stairs are getting harder to manage the older we get.

Great House

We had a great experience with this house and it meet our needs for 3 families with kids. The house was clean. More than enough bedrooms and sleeping arrangements. The walk to the beach was very short, just have to climb over 1 sand dune, but it's not a very strenuous climb. You do not have to be in great physical shape to make the walk. My mother who had both knees replaced was able to make the walk without any issues (just bring sneakers). Large family room is perfect for watching movies and playing games. We loved that the decks, pool and hot tub, all of which were very clean. No sewage issues like the one review mentioned. Kids loved the ice cream truck that came around in the evening. We would definitely come back!

All was well except the hot tub thermometer could not be regulated. Husband go in and after about 10-15 minutes we had to call 911 because i could not get him to walk after he was able to leave the hot tub. He said his arms and legs were not working. Thought he was having a stroke. Went to hospital and they treated him for his BP that went up too high and a CT Scan for any stroke. Someone needs to look at the hot tub panel and replace. Also, the front exterior driveway lights need bulbs replaced.

Steep climb to the beach with rough surf. Great location if all guests are young.

Beautiful views and close to the water. Highly recommend for young families. Not recommended for those who may want beach time but would have difficulty climbing up a 5 - 6 story stair climb. Percect if able and looking to get daily exercise. House is pet friendly and the elevator is a nice touch for getting groceries in the house. Highly recommend letting vacasa know asap if you arrive and house needs attention. They responded quick to our requests.

Nice beach house

The house was nice and spacious for our big family. The outside deck and railing needed some repairs. The inside of the house was perfect for kids to play in downstairs play area, we all enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The elevator made it nice bringing in suitcases and groceries. My only complaint is the cleaning service was not very good.

Easy to relax and enjoy vacation

TanOurFannies was well-stocked in the kitchen and in general, which made the late entry a smooth transition to enjoy vacation. It was nice to have the second fridge/freezer and a second dishwasher was great too. Only guidance that may be helpful is to wear shoes outside because the grass has little burrs (not just this house, it was the plants in the area).

Better over time

First, the VRBo vs Vacasa is confusing. It never feels that there is anyone locale who can help when necessary The check in process was a nightmare, things were reconciled- moving on.

Tan Your Fannies House was Wonderful. Comfortable, loved the layout. Multiple Decks provided great outdoor relaxation to include great outdoor furniture on every level. The pool and hot tub were nice! Kitchen very nicely stocked. I would definitely rent this house again! Easy access to the beach. Love that they had the widows walk/deck..gave you beautiful view of the beach. Extra special that this is a pet friendly home..which allowed us to bring our 4 legged family members. House was very clean. Pictures on line are exactly what you get in this rental.

Great stay

We really enjoyed staying here for our week in OBX. The house was very clean and comfortable. The deck had excellent views of the ocean and it was just a short walk to the water. It was a little cool to enjoy the pool but the hot tub was nice to relax in. We enjoyed cooking some meals at home in the well stocked kitchen. The elevator was a nice add to help bring the heavy bags and supplies up and down as well as our elderly dog who can't climb stairs as easily anymore. We had great Verizon cell signal although the provided WIFI was excellent. The downstairs game room had plenty of things to keep us busy on a rainy day or evening (pool, games, puzzles, books, movies). Overall we really enjoyed our time here and are looking forward to a visit again in the future!

Perfect family getaway

This house was perfect for our family of 10 and our little doggo. Between the beach, heated pool, and hot tub, you never run out of fun. We brought our own groceries and enjoyed home cooked meals around the big dinner table on the 3rd floor. The tower was perfect to go up and watch the sunrise every morning. One night we all went up and looked at the stars over the ocean. Stunning. We made so many memories and we will definitely book this house again in the future. The elevator made it so nice after taking long walks on the beach and having sore legs. Not having to climb the stairs was great! This home is perfect for all ages. We are so grateful that we got to spend almost a week in this beautiful home and we will never forget it.

Very nice house

Good location, good views. On the beach but not much beach to really enjoy. The pool gets a ton of sand blown into it so it looks dirty but it isn’t. We asked for the heat for the pool turned on but it was a little chilly, the hot tub was way too hot to get into. All of the important areas were clean, areas up high and under beds and couches were not so clean. The house was attractive with great amenities. We found several long screws in the driveway, after puncturing one of our tires, fortunately only one tire was destroyed, could have been several.

We loved the pool, beach, size of the home and the views. The house did have a bunch of leaks when it rained: kitchen ceiling, bedroom sliding doors and elevator shaft. The cleaning services did not get there until 7pm in the evening and customer service was not that helpful. We did end up getting a refund for the day we lost due to cleaning though.. so they did make it right in the end. Overall, we did enjoy our stay and would come back.

No Pool

The pool was not heated. We were contacted by VRBO and the electrician came out and said it wasn't the grounding. So I don't know what the problem was but it wasn't heated as advertised. The hot tub was great but the pool was lacking heat.
