Find romance, relaxation, and stunning scenery at Le Faux, one-bedroom suite, with a dramatic oceanfront view, private deck and fire pit on the bluff overlooking the water. This is a wondrous location for exploring the Mendocino Coast. This beautiful cottage is secluded on six acres of oceanfront property that it shares with the owners home.



The Space:

Whether you are celebrating a honeymoon, a birthday, or a quiet weekend of solitude, you'll find rich colors and beautiful European style in the redecorated living space. Start your morning in the kitchenette with a great cup of coffee then go out on the private deck and read your phone or newspaper while watching the passing whales, osprey, and harbor seals as seagulls fly lazily overhead.



Take morning walks one-mile up the road to the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, admire colorful shores of Glass Beach just beyond downtown Fort Bragg and peruse the many Art Galleries of Mendocino. Use the free WiFi to make plans for the day ahead, or simply drive aimlessly on the spectacular Mendocino Coast of Highway 1.



Come home in the afternoon to unwind by taking a luxurious nap in the Louis XVI bed, or head outdoors to watch the sunset from your oceanfront lounge chairs. Then pour yourself a glass of wine before a blazing fire in the fire pit then spend the evening stargazing as the ocean waves crash below. Come and experience the unmatched wonder of the Northern California Coast - leave your worries behind you at this gorgeous Fort Bragg retreat! This themed cottage has many thoughtful touches including bath robes, blankets, and breathtaking views!

Great weekend getaway

The property is beautiful! Im sad it rained all weekend and l couldn't use the fire pit. The attention to detail was spot on! The owners take great pride in the quaint cottage. It really is impressive and I've been staying at rental houses for almost 20yrs on the northern coast. Id like to say we'll be back but we are moving east, this qas goodbye to our place in our hearts!

Great NYE

We had a great stay at Le Faux for New Year's Eve. The property was well-located with stunning ocean views that made it easy to relax and enjoy the scenery. The house had a comfortable, laid-back vibe with everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen and a cozy living room with a fireplace.On New Year's Eve, we took in the quiet, natural beauty of the area—watching the waves from the deck was a highlight. It is definitely a five star cabin but there were two small issues; We wish the shower water was hotter and even a single burner hotplate would've been nice to be able to cook small meals. We still gave five stars as maybe we like the water hotter than average and maybe we missed the fact that there wasn't a way to cook food other than a microwave. Overall, it was a solid choice for a peaceful and comfortable getaway to ring in the new year. Would definitely recommend it for anyone looking to get away and unwind.

The week away!

The property was great, better than I expected. The motion dedicated outside lights were not timed properly, but other than that it was wonderful. Even the rain couldn't change to relaxing time it probably helped. Have recommended to friends and family.

The Perfect Couples Getaway

We love to rent vacation getaways often. This cottage was all it was represented to be. It is on a private property with the main house nearby. The cottage was absolutely adorable, beautifully decorated and meticulous. The owners have thought of every little detail and anything we needed, was in the cottage. There was even a picnic bench overlooking the ocean, where we would have our morning coffee. So peaceful and beautiful. I highly recommend this cottage. You will not be disappointed.

A wonderful location, beautiful views, easy access charming and romantic. The WiFi was sporadic and undependable but that was the only negative. Will definitely go back again.

Beautiful Cottage on the Cliffs

This cottage is a must for a getaway to Fort Bragg/Mendocino. Easy driving to all the local must sees, close to Anderson Valley for wine tasting and minutes to Mendocino for resturant's and a great book store. The cottage is very private with lovely decor, a plush and comfortable bed in an amazing location. The views are spectacular sunrise to sunset, and the sound of the ocean is most enjoyable. Wish we could have had time on the deck and by the fire pit...but rain curtailed that. (We loved the gratis bottle of wine as well!)

Amazing Views

This VRBO property was so cozy and offered absolutely mind blowing views. Watching the sunset from the fire pit area with a bottle of wine was a memory that I will have forever! The house itself is just one room with a bed, couch and tv and then a bathroom that has a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker - everything you need for a short stay. This was a part of our honeymoon as we drove through Mendocino and we had a great time resting and recharging here. The bed was comfortable and cozy. There was no cell service for our two phones, but the property has wifi and also has netflix and cable/dish set up on the tv. Definitely would recommend spending a night or two here enjoying the amazing ocean/sunset views.

AMAZING

My husband and I had seen this property a year ago and it took us that long to find dates that worked for us. Spent a week in Cancun, one day at home then four days in this beautiful spot. I loved that there wasn’t a full kitchen, and we got to enjoy meals out. I was concerned about sleeping in queen sized bed, but it was so comfortable and view insisted that all blinds must stay up. I can’t remember a time we both felt so relaxed. COVID and the demands of our jobs, kept us so busy, that this was getaway and downtime was overdue. We came home stress free and rejuvenated.

Le Faux is the real deal

We were looking for a peaceful place near the ocean and away from town and this cottage was perfect. Located on a large gated property situated on an ocean-front bluff and separate from the main house (seemingly vacant during our stay), this place was perfect for two. Watch the ocean waves from bed, read outside on the small deck, enjoy quiet nights -- exactly the privacy and beauty we were seeking. We would definitely stay here again.
