The Space:

Spacious oceanfront rental home just steps from the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shops. Enjoy over seven miles of Oregon Coast beach right on your doorstep. With no dunes obstructing your view, this oceanfront beach house is the perfect retreat to catch your breath and be away from it all. Relax to the sounds of crashing waves, breathe the fresh ocean air, and feel the ocean breeze.



One dog, weighing up to 45 pounds, is allowed to join you.



With 2,800 square feet of space on two levels, this beach home comfortably accommodates up to nine people. The many windows give you an ocean view from just about every room - anyone who loves the coast will feel right at home here!



The lower level has the kitchen, dining room, and living areas. At this home, a windy winter storm can be just as beautiful and fun to watch as a colorful summer sunset - this is an amazing house to visit during any season.



The bright and open full kitchen has everything needed to prepare delicious meals, including a refrigerator, freezer, Jenn-Air range, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. There is even a bell in the kitchen to call everyone together for a nice sit-down breakfast before a refreshing morning walk on the beach!



The lower level also has a main bedroom, the “Captain’s Quarters” with a comfortable gel foam mattress. This is an easy access bedroom for anyone who may have trouble climbing stairs. The Captain’s Quarters also has a smart TV with cable. The lower level has a full bathroom off the living area and a laundry room.



The upper level features an entertainment room and an upper deck for relaxing and viewing beach traffic. Two bedrooms feature beds with comfortable gel foam mattresses. The upstairs main bedroom has floor-to-ceiling windows that provide breathtaking oceanfront views. This room also has sliding glass doors that provide access to the upstairs deck.



The entertainment room has a 65-inch smart TV with cable - bring your Netflix account! High-speed cable internet and WiFi provide fast connectivity for video streaming, online gaming, surfing the web, and checking your email while on vacation. This room also has a door to the upstairs deck.



Head outside to the large deck to enjoy the fresh ocean air and listen to the relaxing sounds of crashing waves. Plenty of outside seating and the gas grill make the deck a wonderful sunny place to spend the day enjoying the oceanfront! Be sure to bring along your kites, beach gear, and binoculars.



The nearby area is rich for discovery. Beautiful Lake Lytle and Nehalem Bay State Park are a short drive to the north. The famous Tillamook Cheese Factory visitor center, Cape Meares Lighthouse, and Cape Lookout State Park are a short drive to the south. This stretch of the Oregon Coast area has amazing hiking trails, whale watching (peak migration season is from mid-December to mid-January), crabbing, fishing, boating, and miles upon miles of stunning beaches perfect for jogging, flying kites, surf fishing, beachcombing, and searching for tide pools. There is even a historical steam engine locomotive offering scenic rides from Rockaway Beach around Tillamook Bay.

Great house right on the beach in Rockaway. Spent lots of time on the lower deck watching the waves and sunsets, can even see the Twin Rocks from the house. Will be back again soon!

Great home! No TV in the main living area, which is the only thing we would like to see; otherwise, great location. Beautiful views, and a well-appointed kitchen. The stairs to the bedrooms above are steep. The access to the beach requires some fancy footwork, but it's doable for most.

Being right on the beach, the decks are wonderful and views of the ocean from the house and decks cannot be beat. This is why you rent this house. The house itself is clean, well stocked but a bit dated for this price point. Communication with Casago was good and they were quickly responsive to any question I had leading up to our stay.

This home's key feature is that it is on the beach ... a very nice feature. It also has large comfortable rooms with views. Unfortunately, there's lots of deferred maintenance on the home that detracts from the experience. For the price, you'd expect something more updated and upscale, but it's condition is very average compared to nearby rentals.

View was amazing. We spent most of our time on the back decks, lower and upper. You are right on the beach and can easily access from the back gate. The house was clean and exactly as pictured. Definitely recommend.

The view from this house cannot be beat. The location on the beach was amazing. If you have someone traveling with you with mobility issues they will not be able to access beach from house. There are rock stairs to the beach that are not even. The only place to access the beach is where the train station is for those who need a better footing. The house was great - the only cons; 1. all the shampoo, condition and soap had not been filled. 2. Asked for a half hour early into house (3;30 p.m) and half hour to stay later (10;30 am) and was denied both by what sounded like an AI answer. 3. The room with the 3 twin beds - the mattresses and pillows are aweful. Other than that was a beautiful spot on the beach for a family gathering.

The beach house delivered exactly what was advertised when it came to the location and views—both were incredible. The kitchen was also adequately stocked, which was appreciated.Unfortunately, the interior of the home did not feel reflective of the price we paid. The house is in need of some significant updates and maintenance. The carpet was very worn, and the towels and bedding felt inexpensive. The bedding in one bedroom also had an unpleasant odor. The oven would not heat beyond 310F, and the shower in the upstairs bathroom drained very slowly.The upstairs was extremely hot at night, and there were no fans in the bedrooms or screens on the windows. When we opened the windows for ventilation, we found the window tracks to be extremely dirty and moldy. The exterior of the house was also quite grimy and appeared to be in need of a thorough pressure washing.Overall, the location and views are fantastic, but the condition and upkeep of the home did not match the price point. With some updating, deeper cleaning, and attention to maintenance, this could be a much better experience for guests.

I would recommend that the hosts send a note along with reservation confirmation that the property access instructions and house rules will be sent 48 hours before check-in. For those of us that aren’t familiar with VRBO, Vacasa, or Expedia bookings of vacation rentals it will help with building confidence that “you’re booked and we’ll get back to you 48 hours before your planned arrival.”

Upon arriving we noticed the garbage from prior renter was pouring out - can was full. This was Monday (garbage pick up was that day). Notified Casago of missed pick up. Finally pick up on Thursday. No arrival email was sent - so had to contact Casago to get in. Rusted garage door; eyesore upon arrival. Had confirmed with Casago that there was a gas grill - but was not notified of lack of gas for the grill. Oven has a malfunction, it took 45 minutes to get to temp (350*). This should be checked. Towels in bathroom were still wet upon arrival. On day 3 we found towel that smelled of urine. Carpet has definately been used by animals - very worn. The only positive to this house, was the amazing deck and view. While responses from Casago was fairly quick - there was never any resolution. I would not stay at this location again and have never had to give a negative review on our VRBO locations.
