From the owner: "Thank you for the 5-star review. We hope you will find your way back to the Clever Bear Cabin!"

We're glad to hear you enjoyed the cabin, its amenities, and the convenient location near Higgins Lake. We're sorry that some aspects of the home and check-in experience did not meet your expectations. We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention and are reviewing each of the items you mentioned as we continue working to provide a well-prepared and comfortable experience for our guests. We would have welcomed the opportunity to address these concerns during your stay, and we appreciate your feedback as it helps us continue improving the guest experience.

From the owner: "Hello, Thank you for your nice comments. We hope you will find your way back to the Clever Bear Cabin!"

Patricia, we're sorry to hear your stay fell short of your expectations. However, the homeowner went to very generous measures to make things right. Upon your hearing of your concern regarding the fridge, the owner promptly purchased a new one and had it delivered for your convenience. There are now multiple refrigerators for guest to use as we can confirm that both refrigerators are operating correctly. The grill is in great working condition. There is a grill brush located next to the grill if additional cleaning is needed, but we apologize for the inconvenience. The firepit had papers left in it to help ignite a fire, but it was not filled with leftover garbage. We do include the location of the cabin in our listing so that future guests know what to expect, however, we're sorry if you felt the lake was farther than advertised. The owners strive to provide excellent guest experiences, and we're confident this cabin will continue to host many satisfied guests! Best, the Evolve Team

Laurie, we're glad you enjoyed your stay at this cabin! We strive to make our listings as accurate as possible, so all guests know what to expect when booking. We do include maps on the listing that can show the exact location of the house and nearby attractions, but we're if the distance caught you off-guard. We take this concern about the ladder seriously- as safety is one of our 4 Core Property Standards! While we have not had this complaint in the past, thank you for making us aware. We have passed this concern to the homeowner, so necessary measures can be taken to ensure this won't occur for future travelers. We apologize for any inconvenience this caused during residence. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, and we're confident this cabin will continue to host many satisfied guests! Best, the Evolve Team

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear the outdoor furniture and cleanliness didn't meet expectations on arrival. It has been an unusually wet summer, which made the furniture damp, and as a cabin nestled in a wooded setting, spiders can occasionally find their way in despite our best efforts. The dirty dishes left in the dishwasher were an oversight by our cleaning team and not typical of how the home is normally prepared. We appreciate you letting us know about the master bedroom lights and the noisy fan, and we'll take a look at both on our next visit. We want every stay to feel comfortable and well cared for, and we're using this feedback to keep improving the property going forward.

From the owner: "Thank you for staying with us for the third time! We're glad to hear how much you enjoyed our home. We want to create a place that folks want to return to and we're happy to hear that we've accomplished this. Come back anytime!"

Mandy, thank you for this review! It sounds like you and your family had a great time at Higgins Lake and your feedback is very helpful. We've shared your comments with the homeowner, who has made several changes to ensure that things run smoothly for future guests - thanks for the insight! As for the kayaks, we apologize for any confusion - these are currently not available for guests to use. Thank you again for the feedback, we hope to host you again soon! Best, the Evolve Team

Patti, we're sorry your stay didn't meet your expectations. Coming from South Carolina to the cold winter in northern Michigan can be a challenge as certain weather aspects are out of anyone's control, however, we understand the owner did everything possible to ensure you had a comfortable stay. The owner continually goes above and beyond for guests and we have every confidence this home will continue to host satisfied guests! Best, the Evolve Team
