Sun, sea and solitude. Monterey Dunes Colony vacation townhomes are stretched out over a mile of secluded beachfront. Each home has a boardwalk to the beach where you can walk, play, fish, build a sandcastle—or just do nothing. Common area amenities include a swimming pool (April - October) and hot tub; tennis, basketball, volleyball and bocce ball courts, and a golf driving cage. Located a few minutes from Moss Landing, Monterey Dunes is 18 miles north of Monterey and nine miles south of Watsonville.  Four bedrooms and 3 baths, 2000 square foot 2-story home with enchanting ocean views. Two suites with King beds and private baths. Third bedroom has a King bed, and the fourth has 2 trundles (total of 4 Twins).  The Monterey Dunes Colony is a gated enclave of beachfront vacation homes between Santa Cruz and Monterey. Located near the quaint harbor town of Moss Landing, these properties enjoy a mile of secluded beachfront and numerous outdoor amenities.

This house was great for the 6 of us adults and 2 kids that stayed here. We had enough hot water for all of us to shower with the tankless water heater, and not have to shower in rotations, lol. The access to the beach from the home was perfect and it was great to be able to be that close with an outside hose by the back stairs to rinse off our feet before going into the house. The place was clean and inviting. It could use some maintenance/upkeep on some of the outside stuff. For example the screendoor on one of the ground floors had only half its screen door attached, so we didn't dare leave that sliding door open for too long due to bugs. The robot vacuum was handy for cleaning the floor for the most part, but It also would have been nice to have had a vacuum with a hose attachment to be able to suck the sand out of places like the dryer, etc. The pool and hot tub were great as well. We were able to see seals and fish right from the beach. Overall, this would be a place we would choose to stay at again.

Thank you for telling us about the screen door - we contacted the HOA, and they have scheduled a repair. We also passed on your suggestion for an additional vacuum to the owner. We're happy to hear you enjoyed vacationing in this very special spot and hope you'll make a return visit.
