We've stayed at a lot of properties on Kiawah, and this was easily one of our favorites. The villa has been renovated with updated kitchen, floors, etc. The The layout is excellent with a connected kitchen / dining area / living room area / screened in porch and deck with the bedrooms in the back so you can still watch TV or hang out on the porch while the kids sleep.
What we really liked was bing right on Night Heron park. The back of the villa opens up on to the park, so getting to the field, bike paths, frisbee golf, play ground, nature center, and pools are easy. It also has outstanding access to the bike paths.
And the beach is only a short bike ride away, just about 2 blocks, across the pond, cross the street and you're there at boardwalk 22. So you can bike or take a short car ride if you have a lot to carry, either way, it's easy.
It's also nice to be near one of the only markets on the island at the Kiawah Village close by, as is the Sanctuary, so you can get to restaurants, the beach, shopping, etc. easily.
So we would recommend this villa, ideal location with everything you need.
