The host was one of the best quick response and very friendly. The cabin was clean and amazing. Everything was perfect and beautiful porch with bears walking right through the yard. It was an excellent stay.

Chris was a very good host. Made the check in/process a breeze. Cabin was very clean and cozy. Only real issues we had was the the pool table was not level. Also the upstairs got extremely warm as to be expected as we all know heat rises. I would stay here again if I was in the area on vacation. Very short commute to town for necessities. Also we did see bears while there. Walked right up to us in the hot tub. Thanks for everything Chris.

Hi, I’m Chris. I’m a contractor and small business owner based in West Virginia, and I’ve always loved the Smoky Mountains. The Black Pine is a place I’ve personally worked on and continue to improve so guests can slow down, relax, and enjoy the mountains the same way I do.

Hosting gives me the chance to share a space that feels comfortable and welcoming from the moment you arrive — whether you’re here for hiking, exploring Gatlinburg, or simply enjoying a quiet evening by the fire or in the hot tub. I take pride in keeping the cabin clean, well cared for, and easy to enjoy so your trip feels effortless.

My goal is simple: to create a place where guests can make great memories and want to come back again.
