Roomy post & beam upside down style home with multi-level decks. 3 Bedrooms and 3 Bathrooms are on the first floor. Kitchen, Dining room, Living room, Family room, and 1/2 bath on the second floor. Roomy loft on the third floor with 3 twin beds and sitting area with large window that looks out over the south shore. Upper and lower outside decks face south shore. Air-conditioned throughout. Hot/Cold Outdoor Shower. Sleeps 8. Distance to beach: two blocks, Distance to town: 3 miles.

Bedrooms/1st Floor:Two large master bedrooms(king beds) have their own private baths and splits for AC. One of the master bedrooms also has a separate window seat sitting area, with a single-sized day bed as well as a door that opens to the back deck. Third bedroom on first floor has two twin beds with full bath across the hall with AC unit.

Bedroom/Loft:Fourth bedroom is in the loft: 3 twin beds and a sitting area with AC unit.

Baths:3 full baths on first floor, 1/2 bath on second floor, outside hot/cold shower.

Second Floor:Second floor is a large open post & beam area with roomy kitchen and dining area. 1/2 bath, coffee bar, and large cathedral living room with fireplace. Beyond the living room is another family room with large picture window. Multiple Splits Provide AC throughout. Tenant to pay $500 departure cleaning fee, subject to 11.7% state/local tax.

Surfside is a favorite area of Nantucket for vacation renters because of its easily accessible beaches and its proximity to Town and Mid-Island conveniences. This family-friendly area offers a laid back summer vacation on the south shore beaches and a three mile bike path - the perfect distance for young children to ride. Many homes in Surfside enjoy water views and peaceful, woodsy surroundings. A rear access road from Surfside to Nantucket Memorial Airport is also convenient for those arriving by air.


Beaches

Just a few miles south of Town, this wide beach offers plenty of room for sunbathing and has a lifeguarded swimming area. There is also ample vehicle parking, bike racks, bus service, bathroom facilities, and the Surfside Beach Shack that sells food and rents beach chairs and umbrellas. This is the only beach on the south shore that boasts this many amenities. A few smaller beaches are located nearby. Fisherman’s & Stones Beach can be found between Surfside and Nobadeer beaches and are favored with locals, however, there are no amenities and they can have strong surf. Nobadeer Beach allows four-wheel drive vehicles to drive on the beach with an Over Sand Permit and it’s a great spot to see airplanes flying overhead since it is close to the airport.

Restaurants

In addition to the Surfside Beach Shack, 45 Surfside Bakery and Cafe offers breakfast and lunch and can be found right along the bike path. They are especially known for their delicious pastries. Yummy is also located on the bike path and is a great place to stop for an ice cream to or from the beach.
