Pelican’s Roost Beach House is a classic Florida stilt-home condo located right on the sand at Indian Rocks Beach. Enjoy one of the largest wraparound balconies on the Suncoast, with spectacular sunsets from nearly every room. The living room and kitchen overlook the waves, and the backyard feels like a semi-private beach. No high-rises or hotel chains—just an authentic, peaceful beachfront escape.

This second-floor beachfront condo delivers stunning panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico from both the living room and kitchen. Expansive sliding glass doors create seamless indoor-outdoor living, filling the space with the sound of waves and ocean breezes.

The two-bedroom, two-bath layout comfortably sleeps four guests, featuring a king bed in the primary bedroom and two twin beds in the guest room — perfect for couples, families, or friends traveling together.

The condo is fully equipped for a relaxing, hassle-free stay, with a stocked kitchen, fresh linens, and an in-unit washer and dryer for added convenience.

The property includes private beach access and convenient covered parking for two vehicles beneath the building, plus additional uncovered parking for an extra car. Guests also have access to beach chairs and the on-site tiki deck, an ideal spot to relax and soak in the laid-back coastal vibe.

I am a Florida Native and my parents built the Pelicans Roost condo in 1978. I am a meteorologist who grew up boating and surfing in Treasure Island, where I have a second rental on the bay. I am fortunate to have grown up exploring every side of the Suncoast. Beyond the property in Pinellas County, I own real estate in Ponte Vedra Beach.

Indian Rocks Beach — or IRB, as locals call it — is one of the few beaches in Pinellas County that hasn’t been overtaken by towering high-rises and endless hotel developments. Instead, it has kept its laid-back charm. The water is typically clear and calm, making it perfect for swimming and relaxing, and the white sand stretches for miles. Along Gulf Boulevard, you’ll find a great mix of locally loved restaurants and scenic parks, all within easy barefoot strolling distance of the beach. It’s the kind of place where you can spend the whole day outside — enjoying the sun, grabbing a bite to eat, and catching a beautiful Gulf sunset — without ever needing to leave the neighborhood.

The other Treasure Island home is larger and perfect for a family looking to swim off the dock or watch dolphins swim past in Boca Ciega Bay from the swimming pool.
