The Space:

Treat yourself to a vacation that will have you feeling like royalty. Island Princess is a luxurious seven-story condominium resort with beautifully decorated 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom units. Amenities include a washer/dryer, large balconies, and fabulous views from the gulf-front units. Pamper yourself-relax by the gulf-side, seasonally heated pool, re-energize in the fully equipped fitness room, or become the complete tourist, enjoying the convenient Okaloosa Island and Destin restaurants, the Gulfarium, Island Center golf center, and much more! Island Princess is located directly on the snow-white sands on Okaloosa Island, just steps from the most sought-after waters of the Gulf Coast. On-site, enjoy the hot tub and heated outdoor pool, as well as a fitness center. The relaxing and welcoming atmosphere of Island Princess will easily make it your go-to vacation destination for years to come.



THINGS TO KNOW

Construction will occur on the property from August 14, 2023, until February 16, 2024. During this time, the balconies and walkways will experience closures. Doors will also be repainted. Noise may be audible during work hours.

Beach service (two chairs and one umbrella) is available from March 1 - October 31.

All guests regardless of age are to be considered for Occupancy count in Fort Walton Beach, FL

Great place for a small family. Vacasa was great to work with. If you stay here make sure you park outside of the covered area.

Perfect home away from home

The condo was exactly as described in the listing. Communication with property manager was great and easy beach access was awesome. Will definitely stay here again!

The beaches were fantastic!!! The restaurants were close by, with plenty to choose from.

Brothers and sisters were meeting for a family vacation. Four different condos and everyone was pleased with their stay. We will differently be back next year.

The condo was clean and spacious. They had everything I needed. The umbrella and chairs provided with the room were amazing. I got my much-needed rest and relaxation. I would defiantly stay there again.

Just What We Were Looking For

We were very pleased with the condo, the amenities and location at this property. The communication with Vacasa was particularly good. We only had one issue, a broken dryer, which was addressed 3/4 through our stay, but an alternative was provided before then.

Cute condo!

Cute condo, but it did not include beach service (umbrell and chairs) like most condos do. There were also no pots or pans so we weren't able to cook any of the food we bought since we didn't realize this until after we bought groceries.

This condo saved our vacation!!

We had an issue with our original booking (not through VRBO) and we were able to use the instant booking option to book this condo last minute. The condo was amazing. Bed in master was super comfy. Absolutely no complaints about our stay. The condo was quiet and although not ocean front, had a great balcony and large windows in the living room to let the sun in. The grills were a great convenience. Pool and beach access was awesome. A full time beach attendant was there and able to get us our chairs and provide any rentals we could want for paddle boards, kayaks etc. Loved Island Princess and this condo. Thanks for a great week!!!

Spring Break Vacation

Cono location was great. Although we had a side view of the ocean our place was away from screaming kids at pool! Had breakfast at the condo, took long walks on the beach and very much enjoyed the beach chairs and umbrella. We ventured out to Destin. We rented e-bikes and rode around Seagrove, Watercolor and Grayton. Ate at some fabulous restaurants! Red Bar (atmosphere was so cool). Old Bay Steamer, (had great lobster) Best happy hour at Marina Cafe on Destin Harbor...food and drinks were so yummy and super affordable....go at 4 and sit at the bar. The Back Porch combo meal was perfect to share a meal......very generous portion sizes of fish and we were outside overlooking the ocean! We also shopped at the outlet mall, went to flea markets and golfed 18 holes! We went to AJ's and saw live music! Super fun vacation!

my stay

Good location. Unit was dirty. Dishes dirty, found wet dishes in cabinet that apparently were not dried before putting away (gross) food in bottom of dishwasher, floors dirty, doors dirty, mirror in bedroom dirty. Carpeting in bedroom smelled like cats. Broken garbage disposal and toaster (called in and they did come replace and repair the next day). coffee maker is old and leaks water from bottom. For the price, I expected more.

Misleading info. March 18th

The condo itself was clean and what we knew needed. However, the sliding door to the balcony has a make shift lock, which is very hard to open. There’s major construction going on in the front of the condo, which was not mentioned in the booking of this, therefore the pool and hot tub were not open, and we were very disappointed. The code to the beach access was wrong, and it took us a day to find someone that would give it to us that live there. other than that the place is OK. The beds were very hard and hurt your back.

I was and am a bit concerned about your response to social distancing and cleanliness. The floors in the condo appeared a bit dirty...not terrible but of concern. My main concern was the distancing of the beach chairs. I’m not sure our neighboring chairs were even two feet away. Also I noticed the majority of adults in the pool area drinking alcohol and vaping when the rules clearly stated otherwise. Also the numbering system on the parking and beach chairs was confusing to say the least.

Great location, Apt needs improvement in a couple of points

The location of this apartment is just perfect; the beach in front (main reason of my selection) is just perfect. The apartment is comfortable and very clean; it also feels very safe (parking and in general). Things to improve: first and most important, the bathtub really needs anti slip strips ! I fell and hit my face while taking a shower; I am happy it was me (not my wife or son) and was too bad; but I did get a nasty bruise. Second, it could use a few beach towels (it is a beach apt), when asked I was told I was "lucky" we had one (very wrong answer); we could use the regular towels (there is plenty). The dryer doesn't really work. In summary; we did have a great time at the beach and enjoyed our vacation, I would not come back to this particular unit (219); but I would recommend the place.
