Beautifully situated in a shady grove of coastal greenery, this cozy cottage in Santa Rosa Beach is the perfect place to get away from it all. This comfortable home offers plenty of privacy, a full kitchen, and a shaded patio where you can put your feet up after a day spent on the beach. The expansive outdoor space offers ample seating, a private grill, and even an outdoor shower to cool you off from the Florida sunshine.



What's nearby:

This home sits just north of Scenic Highway 30A, only half a mile from the nearest beach access point. You can walk down to the incredible white sand each morning to play volleyball, sunbathe, or spend the day shore fishing. You'll also be three miles west of Grayton Beach State Park, a beautiful setting for hiking, picnicking, fishing, and wildlife viewing, and three miles east of Gulf Place Town Center, which is home to such area favorites as Pizza By The Sea and YOLO Board + Bike.

Wonderful

This is a private and secluded home. There are houses on either side, but fencing keeps it secluded. The yard gave me a japanese garden feel, which was wonderful! We definitely hope to return.

Amazing stay 10/10 recommend

We loved loved our stay here at this property! This was our first time booking through Vacasa and we never be going back to other websites. Everything was so easy, SO clean (I’ve had nightmare stays), and such a safe space. Beautiful walk to the beach and beautiful nature all around. The person that owned the property also introduced himself (which i appreciate) Over all such a beautiful time me trip! Thank you!

Great valye

Friend and I took our 18 year old daughters down for spring break. Finding it was odd cause it is a cottage behind the owners house. Other than that it was great. It was clean and comfortable. Easy walk to the beach and great location overall.

Great Family Spot

The house is in a great location with reference to the beach. We liked the layout of the house and property. We used the grilling area and side patio to its Maximum ability. Recommend renting bikes for your stay to explore the area.

Santa Rosa fun!

Place was great! Clean and short walk (10 min) to the beach. Vacasa had a little blooper in the reservation process and was hard to get ahold of, but VRBO was able to fix it.

Sunshine Cottage Review

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sunshine Cottage! Everything was clean and well maintained. A very close walk to the beach. Close to Blue Mountain Creamery as well! We especially loved the outdoor shower. It was used once or twice daily by one of us!! I would definitely stay again at Sunshine Cottage!!

Perfect weekend

Great weekend... kitschy, clean, cottage on lovely shaded lot. Awesome owner/landlord on property.... cottage has absolutely everything you need or might have forgotten. Easy walk to beach... about 5 city blocks. Love the area... feels more authentic than the planned world of 30A.

Very nice

Very nice cottage in a pretty neighborhood. The cottage is tucked back behind another house so it took a minute longer to find it. The only issue we experienced was there were several beetle looking bugs in the house during our stay. Just needs a good pest spraying. Would stay there again.

Honeymoon

There was major construction that started every day around 7:00a.m., nextdoor on both sides. The listing said small walk to the beach. It's literally half a mile away and NOT close to the public beach which is only about 25 yards wide between the private resort beaches. The A/C was great in the house. King bed was comfy, but the Queen bed was like a hammock and not comfy. Best to have a rental car to get around too.

The house was some what cleaned it was some spiders web over the sink & we kill 2 small spiders .very dated, it have some Roach problems. The sleeping sofa was very uncomfortable it need a new mattress or a new sofa.

Cute and quaint- could use some updating

I really enjoyed our stay. The location of the property was awesome, it was close enough to the beach that it took less than 2 min on a golf cart, but far enough away that it was very quiet. The house itself was very nice, the outdoor shower was amazing! I feel like the interior could use a facelift, and maybe a better understanding that all the rooms connect. I know there’s a tour, but it still wasn’t clear that in order to get to the middle room, you have to go through another bedroom and so on. Same with the bathrooms. There are also very minimal appliances and tools for any kind of cooking- so make sure you bring things if you plan to cook. I know that’s a minute thing, and didn’t make it break our stay- just a heads up kinda thing :) Overall, I was very happy with the house.

Adorable little place! Well cared for and great location!

Just as the listing describes- it's a charming cottage in a great location in Blue Mountain Beach! Precious little old house! We weren't looking for luxury- just a nice place to stay near our favorite 30a spots, and this cottage fits that bill. The outdoor shower was an excellent plus that we used each day, and the full size washer and dryer came in handy! Rooms were cozy and the yard is adorable; it reminded us of grandma's house with similar touches in terms of decor and the gardening. The owners have a little binder they leave for guests with important tips, and the kitchen is well stocked with all the basic silverware, utensils, and cooking items one might need, plus a bunch of really thoughtful extras! We just loved the precious little place and would definitely recommend it to friends. Unfortunately there were some wet used towels that hadn't been picked up when we checked in, and they must not have cleaned out the shower and a few other things after the tenants before us, so we couldn't give the cleaning service 5 stars. I think it's also important to note because we definitely couldn't tell this from the listing, that this property is like an add on in the backyard of another larger building, with a shared driveway and a walk to the cottage behind the larger house. This didn't bother us at all- just wasn't something that was made clear until we arrived, so if that's important to folks we wanted to mention it. Also, in terms of the beach- anyone who has stayed on 30a knows about the beautiful sand and water here. It was incredible! I have to say that we are typically spoiled by the nice space you get on the beach in Grayton and Seaside; this was our first time at the Blue Mountain entrance (Oct. fall break) and wow- tents and umbrellas were shoulder to shoulder 4 rows deep. It felt more like the crowds of Destin in the summer!
