The property is just steps from the beach and conveniently located near plenty of restaurants, shops, and attractions in the Destin area. Overall, I highly recommend the property. My only concern was not being informed about the on-site construction prior to booking. This was meant to be a relaxing vacation, and being awakened each morning by construction noise was not ideal. Aside from that, I had no complaints. I would definitely recommend this place and would consider staying here again in the future.

Fantastic!

Amazing view of ocean and pool from balcony! Unit was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed! Slept 6 very comfortably. The grounds were very well-kept and pool was very clean! Will definitely rent unit again!

We were very disappointed with our stay. Shortly after arriving, we noticed mold on the ceilings in our rental. Despite raising the concern, no one addressed it until the day before our departure. At that point, someone came to “inspect,” and when we returned to our room, we were overwhelmed by the strong smell of bleach. We had to air out the condo and this issue made the space uncomfortable.This was not a pleasant experience, and it was disheartening to see that such a serious matter as black mold was not taken seriously or handled promptly. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this rental based on our experience.

Beautiful Views

Everything was fantastic. We loved the balcony overlooking the beautiful pool, palm trees and ocean waves. Easy access to the beach. The condo was clean, plenty of room for the two of us and completely stocked with everything we could need. The gated parking, walkways, grassy areas lit up at night gave it such a nice resort feel. We can’t wait to return to this unit next year. Perfect!

Needed family time

This was a good getaway for the weekend for our family. The location was perfect. The unit could have been cleaned better. The previous guests clothes were left behind, the blankets and throws were not cleaned (you could smell it) and was still thrown on the sofa and chair upon arrival. We put that stuff to the side and cleaned for ourselves and made the best of it.

This description is taken from their listing but could not be more inaccurate "Boasting a well-equipped kitchen with modern appliances to make cooking a breeze, an upscale sofa bed similar to a Ritz Carlton sofa bed." The kitchen is not modern by any means, and you will need to buy/bring everything from dish/dishwasher soap to even salt & pepper as that kitchen had nothing but the appliances, which is ok, but just know if you cook you need to stock up. The sofa bed was as hard as a rock and the most uncomfortable thing my partner and I have ever been on. The beds were firm and uncomfortable as well. I'm pretty sure the pillows were very old as they were thin and offered no support. It's obvious the furniture is old and outdated (even the coffee table was falling apart) but the lack of comfort was too much. To compare anything to the Ritz Carlton is laughable. Another thing to know during renovations is they seem to be daily. Vacasa said renovations are only Mon-Sat yet we got woken up Sunday morning by construction so that wasn't true. Also, there was a fire alarm that went off our first night and the building was evacuated. In these instances, one shouldn't take an elevator, yet the stairwells were closed off during construction. That's a safety risk! I will say the view is gorgeous so if you're fine with very firm bed/sofa bed, then you won't have issues, but I can't recommend this place. Too many other places out there with an equally good view that are more comfy.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sterling Shores! The location was great! A few comments, the condo we got was not the one we booked. However, I believe the condo we got was bigger than the one we booked. The automated communication prior to our arrival was great. However, when I tried asking a question, I never received a response. The staff on site was great during the open office hours. The internet went down for about a day during our stay but I believe that was due to construction in the area! Overall, we lived our stay and would return to Sterling Shores!

Disappointed

First off- Sterling Shores as a whole is fantastic. You truly cannot ask for a better location. I hate negative reviews and I truly want people to understand that I don’t think this is a true reflection of how things typically go for guests but our experience was subpar at best. We arrived at 4:20 for a 4:00 check in. They were still cleaning our room so we didn’t get in till 5. I can give a lot of grace for this because those ladies were working so hard I knew they felt stretched thin. The unit was clean but there was a mildew smell immediately when we entered. Our first full day we noticed water on the carpet in the master bedroom- we wrongly assumed our kids had come in the room after leaving the pool area and just got the floor wet. By 6 AM the next morning when I got up I stepped out of bed to water coming up between my toes through the carpet below. No signs of water damage or leaks on walls or ceilings so we immediately followed the “contact us” instructions provided. They said they would send someone and asked for photos. We never heard from anyone till 2 PM when they showed up- looked at the carpet and said someone must have spilled something next door. Left and never heard back. That afternoon the water spot/ puddle had doubled and the smell of the condo had worsened. We had to keep the balcony door open. I text and called and sent more photos with no response. We are pretty disappointed.

Our stay was nice. Our rental was adequately cleaned except for the sleeper sofa, upon pulling the sleeper out had to remove hair - some appeared to be pet hair, other unidentified particles and food. Loved kitchen stove and nice refrigerator. Lots of cooking utensils, pots,pans,plates etc.. everything needed to prepare meals and we did. Great room! Awesome view from the deck. The pool is nice . Senior trip for my granddaughter was a good one. My real problem is if you do not rent the beach chairs you have to go to the back of the line.behind said rentals that most of the folks didn’t show up for. So very limited view of the ocean, the rental beach chairs, table are not cleaned at the end of the day nor when setting up for the next day. I was on the back row watching, walking the beach when setup occurred. I personally do not want to set in someone else’s Sweat. Pool chairs as well

We enjoyed our stay at Sterling Shores. The condo was clean and we had everything we needed to be comfortable. I especially enjoyed the view from the balcony. We will definitely be back!
