Welcome to this charming three-bedroom cottage offering a peaceful stay in Happy Valley. The warm and inviting living space is perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the Portland area. A nicely equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals and gather around the table with family or friends. Each bedroom provides a comfortable and quiet retreat for restful nights.
*The third bedroom, to clarify, has a very small futon that folds into a bed, best suited for small kids so please keep this in mind if considering this for anyone larger.* There is a full-sized bed (mattress only on the floor) as the main sleeping option in that space.

This cottage combines cozy character with modern convenience for a relaxing Pacific Northwest getaway.

We liked the location, close proximity to shopping and I-205. The house was very clean and in good repair. Great appliances and a nice little private patio. Very good layout and spacious. A big plus was the garage. Very quiet neighborhood.

Our stay was amazing from start to finish! The place was exactly as described — clean, comfortable, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed. The location was perfect and the atmosphere felt so relaxing and welcoming. You can really tell a lot of care goes into this home. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great experience!

The house was clean, except the garbage disposal smelled bad and didn't work. The neighborhood the house was in was a little "iffy" looking, but we didn't have any problems. In terms of it being somewhat like being at home, it was pretty sparse; not a lot of kitchen wares or comfortable furniture. The batteries in the smoke alarm started chirping at 1:30 am. We scrounged around for batteries until my wife finally found two double A batteries in her travel lighted makeup mirror. The mattress in the primary bedroom was very uncomfortable; a too soft memory foam mattress. You sink into it and you feel like you're in a ditch you can't roll out of. Communication during our stay was good.

Hi Hugh… I so appreciate your detailed review. Unfortunately, on your stay we had a first-time issue with the disposal, which you did tell me about and I offered to come fix….but you declined as you wanted to continue on with the flow of your stay, which I totally understand! Thankfully, it turned out to be a quick and easy adjustment ..but my apologies for not catching that before your arrival. And I am glad you alerted me to the smoke alarm battery but unfortunately this happening at 1:30 AM is certainly not fun! What timing. I’m sorry that happened as well. Thank you for staying with us, Hugh, and sharing your experience.

The property was spic and span clean. Had all the kitchen supplies we needed. We really liked the neighborhood- it's not the typical neighborhoods we stay in on vacation which are pretty upscale. It was a working class neighborhood. What we liked about it is the people were friendly, waved at us, even though they didn't know us, and we loved seeing children outside riding bikes, and playing with each other rather than being holded up inside playing video games. Felt very welcoming and safe. We were a bit confused at first on how to get in because there were two different keypads near the door and it was dark when we arrived. We finally figured out that we should use the keypad on the door which we had not noticed because of the darkness, while the other keypad apparently was for some other use. Once we figure that out, everything worked like a charm. Very nice outdoor patio. Furniture was sufficient. While our traveling companions loved the feel of the foam mattresses, I am not a foam mattress fan. But overall, a very satisfying stay for a very reasonable cost. The location was excellent. Shopping and restaurants of all kinds were nearby. We saved much money by shopping at the nearby grocery stores/Trader Joes and cooking many meals in the lovely kitchen, and only eating out occasionally.
