We were disappointed with several aspects of this rental and felt it didn’t match the price point.Cleanliness & Maintenance Issues: • One bedroom had no functioning lighting; the lamp didn’t work, so we had to use a reading lamp from another room. • The house had a wet, stale smell throughout. • Many walls needed repainting and had dirty smudges; the floors were heavily worn. • The coffee maker was dirty, and the microwave turned on and off by itself. • The closet had a broken rack. • A refrigerator was inexplicably placed on the front patio.Comfort Issues: • Sleeping in wasn’t possible — the blinds and shades were dingy, ill-fitting, and let in very bright morning light. • You can hear every footstep from the floor above. Floors are so thin that when the third-floor tub drains, it sounds like Niagara Falls in the downstairs bedroom. • The kitchen hood is clear and placed low, and we hit our heads on it multiple times. • Temperature controls are restricted (max 70 downstairs and 72 upstairs). • Only a small bar of soap was provided in the bathroom — no shampoo or conditioner. • No blankets were available in the living room for watching TV. • The master bathroom’s left vanity had no cold water.Host & Check-in: • We requested an early check-in and never received a response. • Cleaners left a card asking for a tip despite a cleaning fee of 474.00
