Step into Tahoe-style comfort at this 3BR/2BA + loft rental in the heart of Truckee. Relax and gaze out on a yard full of tall evergreens in this home inspired by the area's natural beauty. This is the perfect cabin in the snow -- store your skis in the mudroom at the end of the day and rejuvenate in the steam shower!



String lights, stone accents, and warm hues lend this home all the charm of a remote cabin in the woods.



Take advantage of unrivaled amenities at Tahoe Donner. Trails await for skiing, hiking, biking, and horseback riding while a tranquil shore is where you'll spend summers working on your tan. Shopping and dining abound nearby in the vibrant downtown.



LIVING AREA



Cozy up fireside in the living room on a suede sofa and luxurious armchairs. Watch TV shows, play the Wii, or enjoy a snowy landscape through tall windows.



For more fun, grab a paddle and play ping-pong in the garage!



KITCHEN & DINING



A modern kitchen with plenty of cabinets, appliances, and counter space is all you need for preparing home-cooked recipes. Serve meals at a wooden dining room table where a large sliding glass door allows you to enjoy the greenery outside.



BED & BATH



This two-story home sleeps eight guests in three bedrooms and an additional sleeping area.



Each of the bedrooms is a quintessential example of the rustic style: sleigh frames, exposed wooden ceiling beams, and carefully crafted quilts are just a few examples of the Tahoe-style furnishings. Two bedrooms offer queen beds, another boasts two twin beds plus a twin trundle. A loft has two twin futons.

STR cards are welcome at the private amenities approximately 332 days of the year. To prioritize member access during the holidays, STR Tenant restrictions are being implemented on the following dates:

Overall, we had a great time here and would return. Proximity to Tahoe Donner downhill ski area and cross-country area were great! Home was clean, and we appreciated the decor. Some of the rooms feel a bit older and worn, but other rooms (eg, downstairs bathroom with a steam sauna) felt newer and modern. We really appreciated all of the snow gear available (snowshoes, good quality sled, kid snow shovels)!

Great place for families with kids

Location was chosen because it was near the Donner resort - literally ~6 mins drive. The little kids were able to all play snow in the backyard also.

Great house in Truckee. Lots of room, awesome stocked kitchen. The steam shower was my favorite after two days of snowboarding. Our two children had fun with all the games and wii and very own loft area. Would stay again!

Great Cabin! Stocked Kitchen! Very Clean!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes, pots and pans, utensils and spices.The deck out back was great for snow play as well as the side of the house. (The kids loved sledding down the hill on the side of the house.) The bathrooms were nice and clean. We will be back!

Perfect cabin for a snow trip

This property was perfect for our family snow trip. Check in was a breeze with a coded door, the cabin was spacious with a fantastic layout that made for great together-time. Tons of snow in the yard, we did sledding and made snow men in the back yard. Fireplace was warm. Tahoe-Donner was five minutes away, grocery and restaurants 15 minutes away. Great location and experience.

Nice Property

Overall we liked this property. Everything was as described except that the carpets and a bean bag type chair need deep cleaning which the company kindly addressed when we raised the issue. We loved the steam shower amenity. Location is good and quiet. The exterior needs some TLC but did not effect our enjoyment of the place.

A nice cabin in Truckee

This is a nice cabin up in the hills, about 15 minutes from Truckee main street. The place was clean and we had plenty of space for 3 people. If it wasn't for the Coronavirus pandemic, we could have even shared it with another family. We didn't even use the upstairs bedroom or loft.

a wonderful retreat

We came for a 3 day multi generational vacation. Everyone in our party loved this house. The home was clean, nicely appointed and very comfortable. We loved the accessibility to hiking and biking trails and took advantage of the Tahoe Donner archery classes. The kitchen is in need of cookie sheets and pyrex style baking dishes, but that is our only suggestion. We will be back!

A lovely place to stay in Tahoe-Donner

We had a wonderful time staying in this home. The house is well laid out, has a very functional kitchen, and plenty of space. It is walking distance to the Tahoe-Donner cross country ski center, which was nice for us. The only inconvenience is that the internet is slow and inconsistent. Good enough for checking email, but not really for working. Maybe that is perfect for a vacation anyway.
