Bordered by Whaleshead Beach, you'll find The Sand Dollar House. A quintessentially coastal cabin, this Brookings home is full of nautical charm and overlooks sweeping vistas. Be sure to check out the area's numerous outdoor recreation hotspots like Arch Rock State Park, Azalea Park, Chetco Point Park, and the Redwood Nature Trailhead. Downtown Brookings is home to many delicious restaurants, unique antique stores, and vibrant local boutiques.



Private and serene, back at your stay enjoy getting cozy amidst the living room's comfortable seating and large TV. When hunger arises, the pleasant kitchen boasts wooden block countertops and updated appliances. Your culinary creations can be indulged in at the sun-soaked dining table.

Fabulous cottage.

Amazing home base in southern Oregon

Amazing stay at the Sand Dollar House. Perfect home base for exploring the southern part of Oregon. An unusual layout but a beautiful place just the same. The dinning area is the best part! With that awesome view!

It felt like coming home. Very clean, with nice personal touches. We didn’t bring our dog, but they would have been right at home here too. Would stay here again.

Cozy, comfy, weathered and well broken in. Good vibe.FYI, no pinball. It has been removed. And they left wet and dry laundry in the washer/dryer.Using Fridge door and getting to rooms a bit tight.But no deal breakers. All good.

Week of Jul 24-21 - Desmond family

First of all, we drove up and realized this was the prior home of friend who lived there when we did. The unit is beautiful! It is very clean, had a beautiful ocean view and great amenities. The furniture and beds are very comfortable. The appliances look like brand new. We really enjoyed our stay and will book again should we travel to Brookings in the future.

Beautiful Beach Vacation

Came here for our friends wedding. This home was more than big enough for the two of us and allowed for a beautiful view for the bride to come see while getting ready. The view of the water from the porch and even just the dining room windows were beautiful. There's two large living room spaces that included two tvs and even a working pinball machine. The entire house is bright, full of light and life. They provide more than enough amenities in the kitchen bathroom and laundry. more than my own house some days. They have binoculars and other fun games and gadgets through out the house. The house feels new and well kept. I really hope to come back and visit, one of the best stays we've had.

Vacasa Service is questionable

The unit had not been cleaned before we arrived. Vacasa could not resolve it by 9:00 pm that night so I had to clean it myself until 11:30pm after a long day of travel. Not the welcome anyone hopes for. Vacasa says they are sending me a partial refund check in the mail but I have 6 weeks before it should arrive - fingers crossed. It took many text messages and phone calls to get them to respond and like I said, they never sent anyone to clean, I did it myself. Otherwise, the space was lovely.

Nice comfortable cabin, clean and quiet. King bed was comfortable and all amenities you would expect were available, however, we did not see the pin ball game that was advertised. The ocean view is nice and the location was perfect for us to hike the Redwoods and walk the beaches.
