Perfect location to explore all the area treasures. Property was as described nice and clean and cozy. We enjoyed the hot tub after a day full of hiking. Will definitely be back.

Very nice location that worked well for the 2 of us! Comfy king bed, nice stand up shower, laundry and kitchen. Next to the ocean for a walk on the beach, hot tub with a view of the ocean. Just off a highway to travel in California or Oregon.

Everything was neat and clean. I LOVED the very well thought out binder of local recommendations complete with restraunt menus and other useful information. The walk to the beach was Great. Very private environment no one bothered us just said HI. The hot tub felt great and the info to use it was very helpful. We are pretty sure we saw whales in the ocean from the hot tub early in the am, it was the best birthday vacation I could have asked for!!!

Beachfront BeautyWe loved the nice size apartment with complete kitchen and full size refrigerator. The property had a great ocean view with direct access to the beach! It was beautiful!

Ken is a great host. He made sure we were set up for success! His place was the exact type of homey we were looking for, and the short walk to the ocean is a wonderful bonus! Ken also had great local recommendations including to the Jedediah Smith State Park. Recommend staying here on your next trip to Brookings.

We had a great stay here while in Brookings for a wedding. Ken showed us around and told us about a wonderful place to see seals (or sea lions?)--Mouth of the Smith River Road. We did a number of hikes nearby--there are so many possibilities that a person has to pick and choose! Ken's place is conveniently located. It is basic but had what we needed. Plus our very own hot tub!

This property was everything we expected and more. The neighborhood was quiet and reasonably private. It did have some view of the ocean from the living room, and the short path to the beach was in good condition.The cottage was a comfortable size for a couple, and the decorative touches (lovely bedding, towels, wall hangings, etc.) we're delightful! Also, it was obvious that the owners put extra thought and effort into providing the instructions, supplies and amenities needed for very pleasant stay at a reasonable price. Impressive!

What a delightful stay. Everything was perfect. We loved the privacy of this particular place compared to those that look directly over the ocean. Beach access was easy to find. Bed was comfy. Hot tub was perfect.

Our host, Ken, met us as we pulled in and showed us around. The place is clean and tidy and very comfortable. We only stayed one night, wished we had more time to explore the beach. Great experience!

Perfect little house with all the amenities and a hottub. Nice bathroom, comfortable bed, nicely furnished, and a fireplace for the rainy days. Very comfortable, and perfect for our 2 Boston Terriers. Ocean just a stones' throw from the window down a pathway! Host was super nice to work with. Would definitely stay here again. Cost of the little house was what we would expect, was very fairly priced.

The cabin was very clean, cozy, and comfortable!! The bed was better then our bed at home. They are great hosts. The trail to the beach was very short...i loved the private beach. And the price was just right!! Thank you we will come again!

This one bedroom cottage is updated, located a few miles south of Brookings. We & our dogs enjoyed private access to the beach - met some nice neighbors and their dogs. Ken lives on site and is very helpful and personable. When we booked we were unsure whether we would be too close to guests in the 2 bedroom unit - it was not a concern.It would be nice to be able to stream Netflix and other streaming services. Ken has a lot of DVDs and cable access but we're unable to tolerate commercials. We feel the cottage is a good value and recommend it.
