The ocean appears as a distant view from the home—enough sky and horizon to anchor the coast—while you unwind in the private hot tub (without promising surf at your doorstep). Inside, thoughtful updates sit comfortably alongside the home’s classic character; highlights include an ultra-modern primary bathroom with a spa-style shower (body sprayers and a rain showerhead).



The kitchen is fully equipped for everyday cooking (not a showpiece “chef’s kitchen”). In the living areas, a 49-inch smart TV and comfortable sofas make it easy to stream shows and movies, while a central wood-burning fireplace and several cozy sitting areas are arranged to catch the home’s views.

Driveway parking is available at the property. Detailed check-in instructions, including the door code, will be provided prior to your arrival. As a guest, you also have access to Sea Ranch community amenities including the pools, tennis courts, fitness center, and miles of trails. A recreation pass will be provided.

Nearby highlights include community heated pool and hot tub (South) (2-minute drive), Pebble Beach access trail (3-minute drive), Black Point headland trails (3-minute drive). The community features miles of bluff-top and forest trails, tidepools, two heated community pools, a fitness center, tennis courts, and The Sea Ranch Lodge with its restaurant, lounge and café. Gualala is a quick 10-minute drive south for groceries, dining, and fuel. For a scenic outing, Jenner and Bodega Bay are further down Highway 1.



Getting Around:

Designed by famed architect William Turnbull, this exposed timber frame 'Binker Barn' offers a private oasis nestled on a one-acre lot just east of Highway 1 that features scenic ocean views and lush forest surroundings on three sides. Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Santa Rosa is the nearest airport, about 1.5 hours east. A car is essential for exploring the area.

Wildlife (deer, foxes, rabbits, birds) visit the property frequently. Additional perks include free WiFi and a private washer/dryer.



Sea Ranch has three recreation centers with heated pools, saunas, and tennis courts. Access passes are provided with your stay -- check availability upon arrival as these shared amenities can be popular during peak times.



Exterior lighting is minimal by design to preserve the stunning dark sky -- bring a flashlight for evening walks and enjoy some of the best stargazing on the California coast.



Whale watching season runs from December through April -- grab the binoculars and watch for gray whale spouts from your window. Spring (April-June) brings a wildflower show across the coastal meadows -- lupine, poppies, and iris paint the landscape. Summer (June-September) brings the warmest days and longest light. Morning fog is common along the coast -- it usually burns off by midday.
