Sunlight streams through large windows, and comfortable furnishings make it easy to unwind after a day exploring San Diego. The fully equipped kitchen is ready for everything from quick breakfasts to group dinners, and both indoor and outdoor dining areas are perfect for sharing meals with family or friends. Great location for getting into the city, but not in a desirable neighborhood, Lots of run down properties in the neighborhood and graffiti. Was told later by a local SD resident that City Heights was not the best area. The house was very clean. However the original listing mentions a fully equipped kitchen, but it had no dishwasher. The outdoor area had no seating for outside dining. The worst part, which the host has no control over, was the rooster crowing very loudly every 10 seconds at about 5:30 am each morning. Bring noise canceling headphones or a brown noise machine. The host had to mention many times to us that parties were not allowed, even though the original listing already mentioned that. That was reiterated to us via voicemail and the VRBO messaging app as well. Somehow me and my son were flagged as party animals. It was a little disconcerting. Would probably not stay here again.

We’re sorry that some aspects of the neighborhood and amenities did not meet your expectations. Just to clarify, our listing does not advertise a dishwasher. We do provide an outdoor dining table with seating for four, along with additional seating near the grill, as shown in our listing photos. We also appreciate you bringing the rooster issue to our attention. We were unaware of the recent change, but we have since addressed it with the neighbor, and the rooster has been rehomed. Regarding our communication about parties, we sincerely apologize if you felt singled out in any way. We had reached out prior to your arrival but did not hear back, so we called on the day of check-in to make sure we were able to connect with you. Vrbo had flagged the reservation as a potential unauthorized event, and we are required to verify these situations with guests. Our messages were simply part of that process and were not intended to imply anything about you personally. We truly appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to continue to improve future guests’ experience. We wish you all the best!
