The Space:

Make this Dennis vacation rental your yearly retreat on Cape Cod. At Retro Beach Escape, you'll enjoy must-have amenities such as an outdoor shower along with fabulous decor that just may inspire you.



Situated only 400 yards from quaint Bayview Beach, this home is near the village of Dennis proper as well. Tour antique shops for unique souvenirs, yummy eateries, and cultural attractions such as the Cape Cod Museum of Art and the Cape Playhouse and Cinema.



From the weathered, yet well-maintained cedar shingle exterior to the interior collection of 1960s colonial-style furnishings, vintage braided rugs, and knotty pine cabinetry to the vinyl flooring and nautical quirks, this home has quintessential New England written all over it.



Dine al fresco on the private porch, grilling under the sun and stargazing after dusk. The outdoor shower will make it easy to rinse off aprés beach. Head inside the sliding glass doors and you'll find 1,100 square feet of space, from the living room to the bedrooms. Flick on the cable-equipped TV (upgrade to come) or use the WiFi to watch your favorite shows



While the kitchen exudes a classic charm, it's still equipped with modern must-haves such as a dishwasher for easy cleanup. Enjoy a hearty meal at the dining table in winter.



Lay your head in one of the three bedrooms: the master has a queen bed and en-suite bathroom, the two guest rooms have a pair of cute twin beds each, and there is a new sofabed in the living room. A full bathroom for the whole house boasts beautiful brown fixtures. seven people will be accommodated here.



Wash your clothes in the basement laundry room and dry them in the fresh air with the provided laundry line.



If you've never been to the area, why not explore it? Stock up or grab a treat at the Dennis Public Market or Ice Cream Smuggler and have a delightful dinner at Red Pheasant, Scargo Café, Fin, or Pecorino Romano.



There's tons to do just a few miles away. Enjoy the freshwater at Scargo Lake. Barnstable is eight miles west for whale watching and Provincetown is accessible via ferry. Find something new every time you visit.

Spotless! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Shower/tubs need handrails for us older folks to stay safe. Same thing for entryway; the distance between steps was really high.

Cape Cod old School

Rustic cottage that was clean, terrifically located and walking distance of a beautiful beach on the Bay Side. It was not air conditioned but fans in every room worked fine even on a very hot weekend.

Excellent family getaway!

The home was within walking distance to Dennis Beach. It was perfect for our family of four, with two little ones. We didn't have to worry about beach parking and could easily run back to the house when we needed something. Being this close to the beach and at such a reasonable price was a steal! We will be returning next year!

Quaint clean and great location

Thank you for a very nice cape cod experience. The house clean and close to the beach the furniture has a 70s charm much like many cape summer homes ive visited. Kitchen was well furnished with pots, pan, and dishes. Definitely a repeat visit my next visit thank you again.

Great property

The place was a blast from the past. Absolutely loved it! The host was amazing. We messaged them about no propane for the gas grill. And within a few hours they had dropped off propane! Loved how secluded the backyard felt.

Great Cape House!

This is a great property to rent on the cape. It's an easy walk to Mayflower Beach. The amenities were great, and very well kept! Would gladly stay here again!

Greatest house I have ever stayed at in cape cod

Staying in the house was so convenient especially due to the accessibility to the ocean. The neighbors are non invasive and it is nice.

Clean, close to beach, and plenty of anemities

This quaint cape cod house sits in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of the beach. Very clean and spacious. We did visit during the week of NE's hottest in June. We did have an abundance of fans in all rooms but no A/C. As of note, this is a older furnished home and may not be of some people's liking. We felt it was very nostalgic and indicative of the cape. Enjoyed the deck in the evenings, cooking out and just enjoying a cocktail In the private setting. Thank you for a great experience.

Great spot

Quick weekend trip with little kids. Everything we needed. Walk to the beach, clean comfortable beds, nice bathrooms and great outdoor shower. The deck is a nice spot to sit and relax once the kids have gone to sleep, without waking them. Would definitely recommend.

Relaxing cape cod near the beach

Great Cape Cod style house with a wrap around deck. The backyard is well forested but has a enough grass for some great games of corn hole. Property was tidy and the layout was good for our group. We would definitely stay again.

Family Getaway in Dennis

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Dennis. The Bayview beach and neighborhood were extraordinary. The central location allowed us to take several day trips to other areas of the cape. The house was roomy and quite. We had a wonderful stay. Thank you.

Exactly what we needed for a long weekend!

Overall we had a great stay! The house was equipped with everything we needed and it was perfect distance from the beach. We had some issues with the guest bathroom shower and the living room fan, but other than that everything was great!

Peaceful and close to everything.

Satisfy everyone, beautiful beaches within a short walk. Activities, whale watch from Barnstable harbor a 15 minute drive. Played several golf courses within 15 minutes. Great food and ice cream. After a great day out, went back to a comfortable home to enjoy a drink on the back deck
