VILLA IOLANDA - The house is well equipped with two double rooms with a large attic, kitchen with dishwasher, two bathrooms with jacuzzi and washing machine, spacious living room with 2 sofas, wood stove with fireplace, cellar, garden with patio and barbecue, 2 covered terraces with dining table and beautiful sea view. Free WIFI.

- 'LA PACE' and 'VILLA IOLANDA' are two independent houses with a separate garden, located in Cremia, a hamlet of Marnino in the Alpi Lepontine nature reserve, surrounded by greenery, ideal for a relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle. The 2 stone cottages are located on George Clooney's favorite lakeshore, on a green terraced countryside 200m above the lake with a splendid panoramic view. Extensive hiking trails are right outside your front door, such as the 'Via Monte Lariani', an old hiking trail that starts in Como and ends in Sorico with unrivaled constant lake views.


'LA PACE' and 'VILLA IOLANDA' are within walking distance from the public car park, which is 5 minutes away. The beach can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes or in 2 minutes by car.
Without using the car, a 5-minute walk away is a soccer field, a children's playground, a bar and a supermarket open until 7pm.
La Pace and Villa Iolanda are located in an ideal place for walks and excursions, without a car and surrounded by nature. All the towns of the upper lake of Como are connected by a promenade along the lake.

- TRIPS:
La Pace is open all year round, Villa Iolanda from April to October. Ideal place for long or short excursions, dedicated to children and adults. Throughout the year there is the possibility of climbing up to about 1000 m by car. above sea level and from there enjoy splendid views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. These destinations can also be reached from many locations by mountain bike.
The 'La Canua' refuge with an incomparable view (1500 m high) can be reached in 20 minutes by car. and an hour's walk.
In winter, an hour's drive away, you can reach a large sunny ski area (3000 m above sea level), the snowiest in the area. Maps and overviews are available in the house.

Unforgettable

You will not be disappointed with this location! Mauro is incredibly helpful and a delight to be around. We managed to wreck our rental car two days into our eight day stay. Instead of replacing it, we learned to take the bus and ferry everywhere and it was totally worth it. Staying at Mauro's home was like going back in time. You won't get a 5 star hotel bed, but you will not regret the experience or the stay at his place. Thank you!

Great house with a lovely lake view!

We (a couple with a 2 year old) ended our Italian summer holiday at Mauro's house in Cremia. After spending a week in a very quiet town in Tuscany, the area of lake Como felt a lot busier. Still, Mauro's place was very secluded and peaceful, with a great view of the lake! We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was great with a supermarket and bar within 5 minutes walking, and lake Como and some restaurants also reachable by foot. The car is parked more than 5 minutes away. For us this was no problem (although we packed way to much!), but it's good to keep in mind. Mauro, thank you for helping us with all the luggage!

Außergewöhnlich - klare Weiterempfehlung!

Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Villa ist absolut ruhig gelegen, ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Super schöner Blick auf den Comer See. Der Gastgeber Mauro ist ebenfalls sehr zuvorkommend, gibt sehr viele Infos über Ausflugsmöglichkeiten, etc. Von uns eine klare Weiterempfehlung und wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!!!!

Haus und vor allem die Lage sind toll

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus mit seiner fantastischen Aussicht ist wie beschrieben und bietet alles was anbraucht. Vor allem die Lage ist toll, wenn man Ruhe abseits des Massentourismus sucht. Alles Nötige, inklusive Restaurants, sind in lautbarer Nähe, wenn man bereit ist die Anstiege aufgrund der Berglage in Kauf zu nehmen. Wir waren es und waren deshalb rundherum zufrieden. Der Vermieter ist sehr hilfsbereit und nett. Absolute Empfehlung!

Die Aussicht war sehr schön. Der Weg zum Auto 🚗 wie beschrieben. Zum Wasser mit Gepäck (Supboards) wäre uns zu steil. Mauro ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ansonsten ist alles vorhanden was man benötigt. Für Menschen die abseits vom Tourismus Ruhe suchen sehr zu empfehlen.

Entspannung und wohl fühlen

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche bei Mauro. Er ist hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich. Die Villa Iolanda ist zauberhaft eingerichtet und besonders die Feuerstelle sieht super gemütlich aus. Aber dafür war es einfach zu heiss. Der Weg zum Haus ist schon lang, aber wunderschön und auch unsere Kinder (4 und 6) sind ihn gerne mehrmals gelaufen. Vorbei an Hühnern und Schafen gibt es immer was zu gucken. Leider muss man doch mit dem Auto zum See, aber auch das war kein Problem Wir können es jederzeit empfehlen.

Schöner Urlaub am Comer See

Wir haben mit vier Erwachsenen zwei sehr schöne Urlaubswochen in der Villa Iolanda verbracht. Den positiven Bewertungen unserer "Vorgänger" können wir uns anschließen, der Blick über den See ist traumhaft, die Lage der Unterkunft ist gut für diverse Ausflüge, sowohl zu Fuß als auch mit dem Auto. Gepäcktransport mit der Elektrokarre klappte hervorragend, sowohl Mauro als auch sein Sohn Silvio sind sehr hilfsbereit und unkompliziert, wir haben uns als Gäste hier sehr wohl gefühlt!

Wunderschöner Aufenthalt

In der Villa Iolanda haben wir zu sechst eine wunderbare, erholsame Woche genossen. Vor allem der Blick von den Balkonen über den Comer See ist wunderschön. Im Garten kann man sehr gut entspannen. Mauro und sein Sohn sind sehr hilfsbereit und unkompliziert. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Herbsturlaub am Comer See

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Urlaubswoche im Herbst am Comer See in der großen Ferienwohnung von Mauro. Sowohl bei der Ankunft als auch bei unserer Abreise hat uns Mauro beim Transport unseres Gepäcks mit einer elektrischen Transportkarre geholfen, da das Ferienhaus etwa 5 Minuten entfernt vom öffentlichen Parkplatz nur zu Fuß erreichbar ist. Mauro ist wircklich sehr nett, spricht perfekt Deutsch und ist jederzeit ansprechbar sollte es mal Probleme oder Fragen bezüglich der Ferienwohnung geben. Als wir einmal Probleme mit dem Holzofen hatten hat sich Mauro sofort gekümmert und das Problem beseitigt. Wir haben uns mit unserer Familie sehr wohl in der Villa Lolanda gefühlt und werden sicherlich mal wiederkommen .

Die Lage des Hauses ist super, genauso wie das Innere des Hauses.

Wir sind sehr erholt vom Urlaub zurück. Mauro ist sehr hilfsbereit beim Transport der Koffer vom 500m entfernten Parkplatz bis zu dem herrlichen Rustico. Der Weg ist nachts schlecht beleuchtet, deswegen ist eine gute Taschenlampe nötig. Der Spaziergang vom p-Platz zum Haus wird uns in Bamberg fehlen. Ein rundum gelungener Urlaub 🧳 mit hohem Wiederkehr Potential!!! Bleibt gesund , Mauro und Gerhard!!! Alles gute 👍🍀 und Gesunde aus Bamberg

Super Urlaub in einemr wunderschönen Region

Wir haben unsere 2 Wochen Urlaub in Mauros Ferienhaus Villa Iolanda sehr genossen. Die Kommunikation mit Mauro vor der Reise und während unseres Aufenthalts war sehr gut verständlich und problemlos. Mauro hat uns am Anreisetag abgeholt und beim Transport unseres Gepäcks sehr geholfen. Villa Iolanda liegt herrlich ruhig und trotzdem in kurzer Entfernung zum See (zu Fuss). Man kann sehr schöne Spaziergänge am Seeufer entlang ausgehend vom Ferienhaus unternehmen. Cremia ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für die verschiedensten Touren am Comer See und Mauro gibt gern Auskunft zu den Möglichkeiten. Wieder einmal hatten wir viel Glück mit unserer Unterkunft und unserem Aufenthalt, so dass wir einen erlebnisreichen Urlaub genießen konnten. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Was für ein traumhaftes Haus in toller Lage!

Besser hätte es uns mit Mauros Villa Iolanda am Comer See nicht treffen können ! Wir hatten viel Platz drinnen und draußen, sogar mehr, als auf den Fotos ersichtlich ist, und der Ausblick auf den See ist genial. Wir haben sehr genossen, dass wir im Haus komplett für uns waren und es dort viele Bereiche zum entspannen gibt. Es hat an nichts gefehlt; perfekt für einen entspannten Lifestyle. Der Laufweg zum Haus ist nicht lang; nur mit Rädern und Gepäck etwas mühsamer, ansonsten ist es schön und ein Abenteuer den kleinen Pfad zu nehmen! Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und werden es bestimmt auch! Mauro ist ein toller Gastgeber, hat uns in unserem unternehmungsdrang gute Tipps gegeben und seine beiden Kajaks waren ein kleines Abenteuer Highlight für uns und die Kinder.

Wunderschönes Haus, toller Gastgeber

Wir haben den einwöchigen Aufenthalt in der Villa Iolanda sehr genossen. Unser Gastgeber Mauro hat uns mit seinem Gepäckwägelchen empfangen und zum Haus begleitet. Man läuft ein paar Meter, der Weg ist aber total schön und man hört aufgrund der Distanz zur Straße im Haus keinen Verkehr. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und hat einen grandiosen Blick über den See. Mauro stand uns stets für Fragen zur Verfügung. Es war insgesamt eine tolle Zeit. Wir kommen wieder!

Great Week in Como Nord !

Villa Iolanda was a perfect place to experience all that Lake Como has to offer. The hillside location has fantastic views of the lake and the mountains, and the house is quiet, comfortable, and very relaxing to stay at. We had easy access to the lake and boat shuttles, the local mountains, and it’s an easy trip into Switzerland too. Mauro was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We loved Cremia ! Thanks Mauro !

Wonderful house located at a wonderful location

We, family of five (three young children), really enjoyed our stay in Villa Iolanda due to its stunning interior and exterior appearance, tidyness and location. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the most kind owner Mauro on the public parking space and were then escorted to the house via a six minute walk on a donkey trail to the entrance of the house. In the meantime, Mauro helped us carrying our bags with an electric cart. Don't let the short walk scare you off, it is a comfortably hike along typical Italian houses and landscape with view on the lake. The house and the views on the lake as shown on the pictures are even better in real life. It is difficult to capture the atmosphere and the coherence of all rooms, but the pictures sum it up quite well. The house is well equipped and you will find all the materials you need to make a proper meal (both in the kitchen as well outside on the BBQ) and to have a comfortable stay. In the near vicinity there is a lot to do: hiking (to San Dominica church up the hill), swimming (public beach in Cremia, 5 min walk), diner (La Baia), boat trip (from Menaggio to Bellagio or Varenna), caves, etc. But even sitting outside on the terrace or one of the balconies and watch the sailboats on the lake was something we did very often. And at night looking at all the lights across the lake. One time we even witnessed a fireworks display on the other side of the lake. Bread can be bought every morning in a small supermarket up the hill (5 min walk), as well as other basic groceries. Larger supermarkets can be found when you search for Iperal, Conad, Carrefour or Bennet. We only stayed for one week and then went on to Switzerland, but we wished we could stay one week longer. One final word about Mauro: in 2,5 years he renovated the house by himself in a way you will rarely see again. The level of detail (both construction and decoration) is astonishing.
