We love this place! We have stayed here twice now, once at The Roost and this time at the Shroom With A View, and each cabin offers something different but wonderful. We're already talking about which one to stay at next. If you're a birder, the Shroom cabin sits right on the edge of a clearing and I had a lot of great warblers giving me great views from the deck. We also had a chipmunk come to visit and saw a mama bear with 2 cubs on the drive up! Nature lovers will absolutely LOVE this place. I'm honestly torn about giving it such a great review because I don't want the competition for the cabins lol They provide so much for you and Black Mountain and Montreat are close by for shopping. The Blue Ridge Parkway entrance is only 30 minutes and you can get all the way to Mt. Mitchell in an hour or so unless you're like me and have to stop at every overlook :) If you want a place that seems remote but is safe, offers stunning views of the mountains and valley, gives you space to unwind, and immerses you in Nature then look no further.
