Gnome Way Steiner Cabin -- Relax in the Woods of Mt. Hood

Hear the rush of mountain streams. Breathe in the fresh mountain air at this historical -- updated family friendly Steiner cabin in the woods adjacent to the Mt. Hood National Forest. Cabin is nestled between the Zig Zag River and Still Creek in Rhododendron, Oregon. This is a year-round delight with hiking, mountain biking, and other warm weather mountain adventures in summer or as a basecamp for skiing on Mt. Hood just a few minutes up the road. The cabin was originally built by Henry Steiner and his son in the 1930's. It maintains its rustic cabin feel that includes a big river rock fireplace, restored wood floors, updates include bright pine wood paneling, modern kitchen amenities, and a sauna in the woods with a plunge pool just off the deck. There are many quiet cozy places to disappear and read a book with a big deck outside shaded by the canopy of old growth fir trees. 3 queen beds, full size futon and a daybed with a twin trundle. Sleeps 10. And lots of warm blankets to roll yourself up in. Strong wifi signal throughout the cabin -- good for remote work or connected devices. Use wifi calling for cell calls. calls will drop if you go too far outside. We DO NOT provide game consoles so bring your own if that's your thing. Level 2 (overnight) electric vehicle charging station on site at no additional cost. Smart TV's with firesticks so you can watch programming from your favorite app. Upstairs loft has a futon/sofa bed and a trundle bed for kids. 3 main floor bedrooms are private with shared bathroom among two rooms and a master suite with its own bathroom. A bench overlooks the Zig Zag river with river access close by.
