Great place to stay for a getaway weekend. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate with our plans for a fishing trip on the bay… the dock was nice and we caught a few small trout .

We really enjoyed this day. The barbecue pit was nice, the house is extremely clean, and the downstairs room was very cool.

Nice place to stay

Very pretty and comfortable home with boat access if needed. Good location if you are a fisherman. Plenty of cookware and extras in the kitchen. The only issue was a "old" smell throughout the home. The local Vacasa office responded quickly and tried to appease us that it was not anything dangerous and supplied some air fresheners.

Thank you for your thoughtful review and for highlighting what you enjoyed about the home. We’re so glad you found it comfortable, well-equipped, and appreciated the boat access and location—especially for fishing. We truly appreciate you bringing the odor concern to our attention. We understand how this could impact your stay, and we’re sorry for any discomfort it caused. While we’re glad our local team was able to respond promptly and provide reassurance, we are taking your feedback seriously and will further evaluate the home to identify and address the source of the smell. Your feedback helps us improve, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again for an even better experience in the future.

Very nice place. Just what we needed for three of us fishing the area. The locks are a little difficult to work with but that is very minor.

Everything is great I only have a couple issues. First is probably on purpose and really petty but the water pressure is super low in shower. I get it probably conserving water. Second is uneven boards on the dock. We have an elderly man in the group that ended up in the emergency room Friday night after he tripped and fell into the water. Minor injuries but had we not been there he would most likely drowned. The dock isn’t in terrible shape but I also tripped in a few places. No big complaints I’m not blaming the dock. He’s old and he tripped. Just felt like it was worth mentioning.

Cozy on a canal!!

When we arrived the house was spotless and just as pictured…maybe better. The location is great, at the end of a quiet street only a 10 minute drive into Rockport. The dock was perfect for fishing and the back patio was great for hanging out and relaxing. The rooms/beds were very comfy and the kitchen had everything you could need. We will definitely be returning to The Lazy Bay. Thanks for a wonderful vacation spot!!
