Very beautiful apartment house "Chalet Hori". In the district of auf dem Stein, 1.3 km from the centre, in a quiet, sunny position, in the countryside, south facing position. In the house: lift, storage room for skis, central heating system, washing machine, tumble dryer (for shared use). Narrow motor access to the grounds. In Winter: please take snow chains. Communal covered parking. Grocery 1.4 km, supermarket 1.4 km, shopping centre 1.4 km, restaurant 1.3 km, bar 1.4 km, bicycle rental 1.3 km, bus stop "Stein" 20 m, railway station "Grindelwald Dorf" 1.3 km, outdoor swimming pool 2.8 km, indoor swimming pool 1.4 km. A lovely chalet with terrific views

This is an especially well presented chalet apartment, complete with views of the Eiger and surrounding mountains. We were a group of four friends and we had comfortable space for socialising, dining and two bedrooms and bathrooms. The ski room for the building is below and there’s a bus stop right in front of the chalet The connection with Grindelwald Center is just 5 minutes or so, but be aware that the most convenient buses are on the half hour or hour depending on the time of day.

Cozy Apartment with great view for famil

- comfortable stay for 6 nights in Jun with family - check-in and other instructions were accurate - well functioning kitchen/ bath/ laundry - stellar view of the valley - grocery store at 5 min walk - missed A/C or fan due to a heatwave - need to co-ordinate bus schedules when coming back or climb a steep hill or take a taxi

Wonderful large clean chalet for families: entire ground floor with four single beds, two full bathrooms and shared laundry available. Located about a mile outside of town, up the hill, a free bus (122) stops outside at least once an hour from 6 AM to 7 PM during summer and at nearby stop once an hour. Took a bit of planning sometimes but SBB app helps and the walk is only 20 mins if you miss it or want to go into town to eat in the evening. There are also cabs you can call through WhatsApp but we didn’t bother as the weather was always nice. Would not recommend attempting the walk with luggage. Amazing views from the patio and great amenities. Quiet residential location with the great little restaurant Melissa Gade just down the hill as an upscale option for breakfast on weekdays and dinner Friday or Saturday evenings.Check in simple but key pick up from Interhome in the opposite direction to chalet (by Firstbahn) takes a bit of extra work at both ends; a lockbox at the chalet or keypad entry would have been a nice touch. Regardless, this was a wonderful experience and we would love to stay here again.

Great Place

Beautiful place, very well maintenence. Garage great. Furniture very good. View Excelent. Is the best place if you like hiking, you can start walking from there to the mountain. Around 1.5 km to downtown, but not much if you like walking and enjoy. Also can take the bus just infront of the Chalet. Buy cofee, shampoo, soap and bring your personal utilities, you won't find it in the chalet.

Charming Chalet Hori

We used this Chalet (3nights) as our base to explore Grindelwald and area. The bus stops right outside the chalet but if you miss the last bus from the main station, it is just a 25 min uphill walk back.The COOP market carries anything you might need. We took a bus to Grosse Scheidegg one day and walked back down along the trails. Very pretty. Another day went to Murren and excellent views of the Eiger and Jungfrau. This chalet is clean, comfortable and spacious for 4. Laundry room is a bonus.

Fijn appartement

Gezellig appartement met twee slaapkamers, mooi uitzicht op de Eiger; begane grond en daardoor toegang tot fijne tuin. Heel dichtbij bushalte!
