Thanks so much for letting us know how great your beach vacation was. Our goal is to work our hardest to make it perfect, but sometimes there are things beyond our control that occur. Thanks again and we hope to see you next year!

Susan,

Thanks for the nice review, and we’re glad your family had a great beach vacation! Checkin and checkout days during the high season can definitely get busy, and the elevators do get quite a workout on those days. The building management is always working on ways to improve that system. Regarding the high performance induction cooktop, we do have instructions in the owners’ booklet which is usually kept in the kitchen. However, sometimes the housekeepers move it around and it isn’t always in the most convenient drawer. If you’re not familiar with an induction cooktop, it does take some trial and error to get the hang of it. We’ll try to come up with a better instruction system to help folks get more rapidly acquainted with it. Thanks again!

We are so happy you enjoyed your stay. We have stocked the chef’s kitchen with every tool imaginable from an air fryer to a waffle iron. We were there in June and there were over 6 spatulas. Rather than clean the utensils, some guests must have thrown them away. We have restocked them. Parking is at a premium at every condo on the beach. The complimentary overflow lot is a half a mile from our unit rather than 3-4 miles. Your other option would have been to pay $35 per car to park in the garage. We had the plumber service the garbage disposal and unfortunately a guest put coffee grounds in the disposal. Thanks for your input.

Hi John. Thanks for your review, and for sharing some thoughts on areas that may not have been optimal for your beach vacation. Parking during the high season can be challenging. We will try to do a better job of communicating the parking policy so it doesn’t catch folks by surprise. The housekeepers have a small window of opportunity to get the condo ready for the next guest, during the summer months. Since checkout is at 10am, and checkin doesn’t start till 4pm, I’m sure you can see the challenge there. While it doesn’t excuse the surly response you received from our management company representative that day (which we will be discussing with them shortly), we will try to work with our housekeepers to see if there is anything we can do to expedite that process. One thing we have taken a hard line on though, is that we insist that they make sure the condo is cleaned to our satisfaction, and to not take shortcuts in this process. They have been told to not leave until it is 100% ready to go. If this takes a little extra time, then that’s what it takes. It does no one any good to checkin to a less-than-perfectly clean beach condo if the housekeepers have to return to make up for what they missed. Our goal is for your family to have their “best beach vacation ever”, and we are constantly striving to meet that goal. Thanks again.

We are glad that you enjoyed our unit and had a great time. We also agree that it is unfortunate that two of the eight elevators were inoperable for a short period of time. Elevator maintenance records reveal that one elevator was repaired and placed back in service within 24 hours. The other elevator was repaired and placed back in service within 72 hours. We acknowledge that this was highly inconvenient for the guests. We do not understand what happened on the beach that day with security. Half of the beach frontage is reserved with chairs and umbrellas available to rent. The other half of the beach frontage is reserved for people that bring their own beach chairs and umbrellas. Given the small number of people on the beach that day, there should have been ample room for beachfront set up. Thank you for the feedback as we are always looking for ways to improve.

"Thank you for your feedback. We strive to be fully transparent, which is why our pricing and standard check-in times are clearly advertised on our listing prior to booking. We always accommodate early check-in requests when the property is clean and ready, but unfortunately, it was occupied and unavailable early for your dates. We mentioned this to you quite clearly several times in our communications, that we could absolutely not guarantee early check in. Your offer to promote our property with favorable reviews if we were able to provide you with an early check in is a direct violation of VRBO’s extortion policy. We do not participate in review-trading or altering our house policies in exchange for 5-star ratings, as we prefer to keep our reviews completely honest and fair for the Vrbo community. In regards to the opinion that the mattresses were uncomfortable, we found it telling that you mentioned “all” of the mattresses were not to your liking. This is quite clearly an attempt to unfairly slander our property when you, most likely, only slept on one. One year ago, another reviewer left us a five star review and specifically mentioned how comfortable the beds are. We update our mattresses frequently, using only top-rated, branded mattresses from high quality manufacturers, such as Stearns and Foster, because we are quite aware that a good nights’ sleep is crucial to enjoying a beach vacation. However, we have found that most travelers who appreciate high-end, luxury travel understand that mattress preferences vary greatly, and that all we can do is our very best to provide the finest accommodations available. We wish you the best in your future travels.
