Great place!

We stayed here for a quick friend reunion weekend. Awesome communal space, great location and easy check in/out procedure. Would definitely reccomend to anyone looking to stay in chicago!

Great for large group

Awesome property for a large group (14+) - John was great, very responsive once we booked. The sound system was not working so it was a good thing we brought our own speaker but John was nice enough to come to the property to see how he could help.

Great trip, unbelievable space

We traveled to Chicago for a fun weekend away. The Loft was amazing. The space is so cool. It has everything you could possibly need for a large group to have a great time. From the Cornhole boards to the professional quality kitchen to the sound system and disco ball. Also, the location was fantastic. We were only a couple minutes walk from a few great restaurants and bars. It was an unforgettable weekend and we couldn't have been in a better spot.

Very eclectic place

Lots of fun things to look at. Please note, the significant lack of doors and closets. The lighting turn on's and off's were challenging and some just stayed as finding this was near impossible. The downstairs main floor bathroom has black mold and it appearing a deep cleaning was long overdue everywhere.

One of a kind!

We hosted Thanksgiving for 30 family members. Everyone was so impressed with the loft!! The main floor area is accurately pictured. It is open and furnished well to provide many different areas for talking/watching tv/ games/eating. There is certainly plenty of space and the kitchen is phenomenal!! It has an incredibly huge island - which worked great for putting out all of the food banquet style. John was very responsive and helpful. My family members were looking for events for us to host in the future there! Such a fun place and we loved the disco ball!!!

My family suffered 3 deaths in 3 months we needed to have Christmas together for healing. We Got it

We wanted to come together as a family to have Christmas dinner and to spend time together outside of a funeral. See we lost my grandson Mikah 7/28, My brother almost died on his birthday 10/23, my dad died 11/11 and my cousin 11/25/2019 we are mourning but this place was perfect for us to all gather in love, cook and enjoy one another. John stayed in contact everyday which made my stay friendly and personal. I can't thank him enough

We had a great time!

We had a great time at John's amazing space. When we first walked in, everyone was oohhhhing and ahhhhing at all of the amazing decor & big open space. We had a large family gathering with members ages ranging from 10-78, and everyone had a blast. John was very easy to reach & contacted us a few times to check in, which was so nice. They were welcoming, accomodating & very understanding when we had a mishap with a chair. The only issue we had was the bedroom layout was a bit awkward for larger groups. We were fine with it but it took some jiggering amongst our big family to sort out who would be able to walk through who's room to get to theirs. Otherwise it was a great stay and we'll definitely be back!

Beautiful Spot!

This place was amazing. Just what we needed for a company retreat. John was very responsive and would have an answer within minutes. We were able to control the temperature as it was hot and cold between our stay. The place is right down the block from Walgreens, McDonalds, Starbucks and more. 90 Miles Cuban Cafe is also right outside and delicious. The kitchen was stocked like crazy as well as the bathroom. No complaints, we loved everything!

Great spot for big groups.

This home is an awesome spot for large groups. it is clean spacious and has everything you need. It is in a great location with a wonderful BYOB Cuban spot down the street. We were there for Cubs/Giants baseball and had a wonderful stay. I would highly recommend this home to anyone.

Fantastic small team retreat

I rented the property for 2 nights for a team retreat and it was the perfect space for us to have team bonding and do some workshopping that we normally do remotely.

Perfect Event Space for Family Gathering

As can be seen by the pictures, if you are hoping to have a large group for an event, and provide enough space for everyone to remain safe and comfortable, this is a great choice. The owner was very responsive to any issues or requests.

Party Venue

It is a great place for a party. The great room is as it looks, big space and lots areas to hang. Except it is not the kinda place you want to sleep. Most of the bedroom access is through other bedrooms. No privacy. They are not completely finished with exposed pipes/wires and no or limited windows that are not tight/insulated, some windows covered with cardboard. Only 2 bathrooms with showers (for 9 people in our case). Light switches are confusing and some light switches in the bedrooms are in outside halls/other rooms. Very rustic, it's clearly a loft/warehouse with some walls quickly put up. I would describe it as camp-like or bare bones in the bedrooms. The property owner was very helpful. There were some issues with cleanliness and also lack of heat and he was very apologetic, reachable and willing to correct these issues.

Great place for weekend with friends

Lives Up to the Pictures and then Some

Let me say that loft, unassuming from the outside, is nothing short of spectacular the second you step inside. Probably the coolest rental I've ever stayed in. It has so many areas from it's gargantuan kitchen space, bar, living room, master with more living space, rooftop, low dining area, high top dining area, loft and courtyard. It's truly this diverse and well appointed and, frankly, jaw dropping. My company used it as a brief communal office and "hotel", but the potential uses are staggering. Would highly recommend for an event space, retreat, family vacation, bachelor/bachelorette weekend, and more. And really, the space is wonderful, but the service and attention provided by the host is what takes it to the next level. John was incredibly flexible and accommodating and a gracious host. We cannot wait to find an excuse to come back.

A perfect setting for entertaining!

Our four night stay in Logan Square was for our daughter's wedding at Low Res Studio. Loft 606 was the perfect "home base" for many of the wedding preparations as well as a perfect setting for some of the wedding festivities. The Friday night wine and cheese tasting for the wedding party and the Sunday morning brunch for the out-of-town guests turned into two very memorable affairs .... a good time was had by all!

Amazing Family Weekend at an Amazing Getaway

It started with tickets to an ND game at Northwestern and we needed a place to land. The Gigantic Sunlit Loft offered our family an amazing weekend. From the start to the end the owner and location made this a great weekend. The owner was very responsive to all of my questions/concerns/comments, and there were many. He met us there so we could do a pre-visit. But the location...OMG...beyond amazing. We have done many family getaways but this location offered us everything. The common area, including kitchen and gathering areas are beyond amazing! There were people watching TV, others playing games, and others just chatting. Space for everyone.At one point, some of the group had a dance party and that was because there was so much room and an amazing sound system. The kitchen really has everything you could need. The beds are very comfortable, as was the bedding (important to me). If you were in a bedroom and others were up in the common area, you did not hear them. Great neighborhood with fun eateries and bars and good transportation. The biggest accolade for this location is that my family spent the entire weekend here and there was not one complaint or problem and the entire group just continued to say how much they loved the location. Thank you John! I hope we return and I know other family members feel the same. We don't have one negative thing to say! Loved it!!!!!

You absolutely want to stay here!

My wife and I rented John's loft a few weekends ago for our joint bachelor/bachelorette party + surprise wedding, and couldn't have been happier with our decision! The pictures try, but do not quite do the place justice. What a space in Chicago - huge loft with a huge open concept living room and kitchen, but bookended by bedrooms that give the place the feel of an intimate cabin. We had our ceremony on the perfectly secluded roof, sound system + disco ball was excellent, and everyone slept like babies (eventually). Additionally, John and Anne worked with us to arrange showings, and Anne was available all weekend to answer any questions and help facilitate requests. Do yourself a favor, stop looking for a place this nice, this size in Chicago, and book it for your next anything.
