Beautiful and serene with everything you need.

This place was perfect for our family vacation. Modern and elegant with views of the water and a dock over the water to relax. Comfortable rooms, well appointed amenities and a kitchen worthy of a cooking show. Did I mention there was a Kayak to use too? Highly recommend, space for everyone to hang out or get privacy. Very special place, and close to many attractions.

This was our second time staying at this property and it was just as wonderful as the first time. So well appointed and a quick drive from Toronto. A beautiful property with a slice of Lake Simcoe heaven. Hosts that truly care.

Wonderful stay!

This cottage was spacious, clean, and well equipped and we loved the decor. Our family of six enjoyed our lazy days out by the water on the deck and in the water. We played together, and cooked together in the large and beautiful well equipped kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the washrooms were modern and updated. We just loved the great room with the very high ceiling and ample seating for tv and conversations. It was a very relaxing, inviting retreat. Thank you David. M. Lombardi

Warm and Cozy

Though the weather didn't cooperate, we still enjoyed the peace and quiet along with the stunning views. We lit a fire each night that kept us warm while reading and watching our favourite shows. Thanks much to David and Francis for hosting our Fall getaway.

A peaceful retreat

Had a lovely couple of days in a beautiful location in a super comfortable cottage. The cottage was the perfect size for us with a wonderful deck to sit on while enjoying the lake. Great location in terms of not too far from Toronto with lots to do in the area. Would certainly visit again.

Schnelle und sehr gute Kommunikation mit David dem Vermieter. Tolle Lage, Küche, Wohn- und Esszimmer sowie Masterbedroom sind sehr schön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Schlafzimmer im 1.Stock sind zumindest teilweise nicht auf dem gleichen Niveau, eines z.B. sehr klein ohne zu öffnendes Fenster.

Beautiful cottage

Would highly recommend this cottage - - turn key - beautifully decorated and the location is ideal/ waterfront and clear water for swimming. We had record breaking temps the weekend we were there - it was the perfect place to spend a heatwave! Thank you for sharing you lovely cottage.

Beautiful and cozy cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It was updated with beautiful decor, but still had a cozy cottage feel. We loved the large fireplace and well designed kitchen and overall layout. The view of the lake was beautiful. We liked the location being close to Friday Harbour, but also far enough away to enjoy a quieter more remote feel. Hope to come back one day!

I am David Harland. My business partner Francis McNamara and I reside in Toronto where we sell real estate with Harvey Kalles Real Estate Brokerage. The Lake House has been in my family since 1947. In 2010 Francis and I took possession of The Lake House and did extensive renovations and updates to bring it back to its warm and inviting lakeside escape from the fast pace of life.

The Lake House is conveniently located north 75 minutes from downtown Toronto and 1km away from Friday Harbour Resort with all its amenities. This 4 bedroom Lake House retains so much of its original charm from when it was built in 1926 with the newer addition of the large Great Room. Spend your summer days relaxing on the cantilevered deck and dock or swimming in crystal clear refreshing water of Lake Simcoe or those cold winter days ice fishing , cross country skiing and sitting by the large stone fireplace in the Great Room.
