Perfect Paradise

Location perfect for our group. Beautiful beach walk, adjacent to Wiamea canyon road, a downtown with everything we needed. The house was perfect for us! Huge lanai for family to gather, play games and watch the whales. Mahalo.

Great location and lots of space!

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was great to take walks on the beach and fall asleep to the sound of the ocean at night. We spent a couple of days at Waimea canyon hiking, and the location was very convenient for our hikes.

Waimea Plantation Cottages

We had another wonderful stay at Waimea Plantation Cottages. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We had a great time walking and relaxing on the beach. This is a very low-key place in a beautiful setting. We plan to return again.

Love it!

We have come to Waimea Plantation Cottages for 3 years and love this cottage. It’s spacious and secluded. Right by the ocean and close to Waimea town.

We loved staying here—the vast oceanfront views, tons of space, plus all of the amenities of Waimea Plantation Cottages, who were exceptionally responsive and kind. The house is original, but that added to the charm. We would absolutely stay here again.

Exceptional stay

This place is exceptionally wonderful and so welcoming did not disappoint, We enjoyed every bit of it. Property is very well maintained and clean. Beds were amazingly comfortable. We enjoyed the wonderful scenery of the property and ocean right out back door. The restaurant was amazing and waitresses were very nice. We would definitely stay here again. You will not go wrong staying at the plantations.

Great older home and secluded location

Spent 10 nights in this wonderful spot, secluded from some of the major attractions but hey, it’s a small island so we easily drove wherever we wanted to go. Felt like we had the beach and property to ourselves, about 2 acres and beach with minimal traffic (not a swimming beach but great for walks and building sandcastles with kids). We would go back in a heartbeat.

Fantastic retreat in relaxing setting

After a week in this spacious, well-kept unit and the beautiful grounds surrounding it, it was very difficult to return home. This cottage is secluded and felt like we had our own little spot on the island with direct beach access, multiple patios to enjoy the weather and watch sunset, fully equipped kitchen and BBQ...it was a PERFECT getaway!!

Delightful quiet cottage

For those wishing a calmer, less touristy accommodation and area than Poipu, this is your spot. Way out in Waimea, you are far from 90% of tourist traffic, but only 30-40 minutes from Wailua Falls, Shipwreck Beach, and all kinds of fun. You literally can’t stay any closer to the beautiful drive up Waimea Canyon. Great place for my family of five, would stay again in a heartbeat.

Perfect relaxation!

Loved sleeping to the sound of the waves. Not so much waking to the wild chickens, but c’est la vie on Kauai! Comfy home for a December visit. Mahalo!

This secluded, oceanfront property rests on land owned by the Kikiaola Land Company, managed by the heirs of Kauai Sugar Cane plantation pioneer Hans Peter Faye. The surrounding resort property is located on nearly 43 tropical acres and has trees dating back to the 1800s. Waimea Plantation resort is adjacent and guests are welcome to use all resort facilities.

The home offers both outdoor dining and lounging areas. The sound of the ocean waves will rock you to sleep at night. If you seek privacy and sense of peace, our home will not disappoint.

The 43 acres of Waimea Plantation resort offers extensive tropical gardens and coconut palm grove. On the property, you'll find ironwood, Cook Pine, fir, plumeria, banana and giant Banyan tree groves. Lawn areas are lined with beds of colorful and fragrant flora.

At certain times of the day, the property is filled with birdsong. Occassionally in winter, you may see a Humpback whale floating by in the ocean.

At night, due to rural aspect of Waimea, it is possible to see the Milky Way and hundreds of stars with the naked eye.
