An ultimate experience of Lisboa spirit and hospitality

This place offers a rare solution to the main needs of the traveler - convenient proximity to all Lisbon things to see and do, cleanliness, assets, the spirit of an authentic Lisbon building along with the sheer elegance and functionality of amodern mansarde - we are looking forward to get “home on the 4th floor”, after all day city adventures . A major factor of the whole experience was the owner’s hospitality - you will be not only helped, you’ll be touched by Pedro’s presence. The view from the almost 4d window never disappointed, despite of rain, fog, sun or moonlight or no light at all .. We will return to Lisbon and will Stay here; referring all friends to this property.

Beautiful light

Pedro's beautiful apartment was perfectly located in the heart of Bairro Alto. It's a single large room with a very open plan, but just the right size for a couple. The light from all the windows and skylights is breathtaking as are the views. The river view every morning was fun to watch all the ferries. Pedro started our stay by meeting us and providing clear directions. In addition, we had coffee and a bottle of wine upon our arrival! The flat is located very close to the Mercado de Ribera (like a REALLY high end food court), so if you cannot decided where to eat, are off hours or just need something fast - the Mercado makes it easy! The apartment had all the amenities. Nespresso machine, cooking utensils, great blow dryer, TV and stereo. The decor was modern and clean, but definitely had some personality! We loved the plants, the up-cycled wood and the old style suit cases. Upon leaving, Johanna (Pedro's lovely wife) ensued that we had a cab to the airport. This is in a traffic restricted zone, so not good to bring a car or for parking. Very lively in the evenings and close to lots of fabulous food. We would definitely recommend! Tiffany

Séjour inoubliable

Encore un très grand merci à Pedro pour son accueil. Nous avons passé un super séjour dans son appartement qui est vraiment splendide et QUELLE VUE!!!! Si nous revenons à Lisbonne, l'adresse est toute trouvée et nous recommanderons les yeux fermés cet hébergement à nos connaissances...

Wow, mein erster Eindruck in diesem wunderschönen und toll gelegenem Apartment. Modern, ausgestattet mit allem, was man braucht -oder auch nicht. Ein sympathischer Gastgeber, der uns mit etlichen guten Tips versorgte und bis zum Schluss behilflich war. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Wonderful place, amazing host, would highly recommend!!

Pedro's place is perfect. The location is in the middle of everything, with a close proximity to all the best places to eat and shop. Pedro was great to deal with from the moment I reserved, with easy communication and detailed instructions for all we needed to know. Although the building doesn't have an elevator and we were on the 4th floor, Pedro insisted on carrying both of our heavy bags up by himself. He also gave us great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The apartment is beautiful and very quiet, with all the amenities you might need - and a beautiful view of the city and the waterfront. There is nothing bad that I can say about our experience at Pedro's place. Book it, you won't be disappointed!

A great welcome to Portugal

This is great property, charming old building, beautifully restored, very modern and clean, yet not pretentious at all! Having Pedro as a host was the best feature of all!! He is very warm, welcoming and available to help the guests with the smallest of the needs. Would stay here again, if we ever visited Lisbon again.

Wonderful quirky loft apartment with lovely features and amazing views over the city and Tagus River

We loved everything about the apartment, especially on a very wet afternoon when we stayed in and watched the weather change all around us, even the 68 steps, yes 68! didn't put us off but improved our fitness. Pedro couldn’t be more helpful and I was envious of his ability to do all the renovations himself! - he carried both of our cases upstairs - no wonder he doesn’t need to go the the gym. We had everything we could possibly need, a very comfortable bed and we were welcomed with a lovely bottle of red wine!

Close to heaven

Dieses Apartment hat Seele, Seele und nochmals Seele! In einer wunderschönen und ruhigen Gegend - abseits vom Trubel und doch mittendrin. Der Gastgeber ist so zuvorkommend, dass man sich sehr willkommen und zuhause fühlt. Er hat einen hervorragenden Geschmack das Haus behutsam zu renovieren und das Ursprüngliche hervorzuheben. Einfach hingegen, selber schauen und genießen. Der Aufgang zu den oberen Wohnungen ist sportlich zu nehmen und dann sind die vielen Treppen auch kein Problem. Wir haben schon wieder gebucht. Je pensais qu’il y aurait un piège... trop beau pour être vrai ! Et bien non ! C’est comme sur les photos ! Splendide ! L appartement est idéalement situé, bien équipé et très cosy ! La literie est top et la vue sur Lisbonne est magnifique ! Pedro est un hôte charmant plein d attentions et à l’écoute ! De plus il parle un français parfait ! Nous avons vraiment apprécié à 200% ce séjour et reviendrons avec plaisir dans un des appartements de Pedro. Mais le loft est juste génial ! Nous recommandons ce logement bien évidemment ! Studio apartment was excellent.

Great views from every window in this apartment and some great design features, particularly the "wooden curtains". The place was very well equipped and very relaxingPedro, the owner was really helpful and nothing was too much trouble for him, he even carried one of our suitcases up all 67 steps! The studio apartment may not be for those with limited mobilty but there are other rooms available. Bairro Alto is a great base for touring the area, plenty of great restaurants and bars nearby, try Buubas Bar, literrally 50m from the apartment.

A beautiful, light filled, architecturally intriguing, comfortable and atmospheric apartment.

Lovely space to spend time in! So lovely, in fact, that we sometimes had to push ourselves to leave the apartment and go sightseeing. Fabulous views and perfect location! Warm, extremely welcoming, and accommodating owner! Responded to all our questions immediately and helpfully. We could not have felt more taken care of. Thank you Pedro!

Eine wunderschöne Unterkunft im Dachgeschoss in sehr zentraler, meist ruhiger Lage mit einem phantastischen Ausblick auf ganz Lissabon, aufgrund der vielen kleinen Fenster nahezu 360 Grad. Sehr geschmackvoll renoviertes Treppenhaus (ca. 1850) und großzügiges 1-Zimmer-Appartment mit einem über eine Drehtür erreichbaren Badezimmer (ebenfalls mit Blick auf die Stadt). Sehr sympathischer Vermieter, der im gleichen Haus wohnt, und mit guten Tipps behilflich ist. Auf jeden Fall für einen zweiten Aufenthalt geeignet. Christel und Uwe

Absolutely stunning apartment and perfect location

What an amazing place! Pedro was a wonderful host, we felt really welcomed and his tips on where to visit and eat were brilliant. His apartment was absolutely stunning, amazing panoramic views of the city which you could happily stare at for hours. The apartment had everything you could possibly need and then some. The location was perfect with loads to do, see and eat within walking distance. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommended Pedro's brilliant base for a Lisbon visit.

Beautiful and Airy Apartment with Great Views

We had a wonderful stay in Pedro's flat. The apartment is very light with numerous skylights and windows, and very comfortably furnished. I honestly love everything, from the beautiful traditional tiles, giant window in the bathroom, cute house plants, and comfortable bed, to the fantastic views of Lisbon and the Tagus. Even the building's stairwell is uniquely decorated, with charming lamps and built-in shelves filled with magazines. I wish I could pick up this flat and move it around the world as I travel to other places. In addition to creating an incredible flat, Pedro is an amazing host. He gave us the warmest welcome and insisted on helping with our luggage. He was available for questions and recommendations throughout our stay. We took him up on his offer to call us a taxi for our airport departure and just as he gave us an inviting reception he gave us an equally friendly and genuine sendoff. We will definitely be back to visit Lisbon and hope to enjoy this apartment again. Thank you, Pedro!

A wonderful loft experience in a delightful and well located area of Lisbon

The loft is a charming and unusual living space - the photos don’t do justice - it really is special. The views across the city rooftops are breathtaking and there is great sense of peace. Although it is essentially one room with the shower/toilet as an annexe, it does feel spacious and well zoned. It’s a few floors up, so not recommended for those with impaired mobility as there are lots of steps, but we liked the charm of the stairwell- nice quirky decoration. The loft itself is modern and very clean and well equipped, so it’s possible to cook a little... but why would you want to do that in Lisbon?! We felt it is very well located, just 5 minutes walk down to Cais do Sodré and transport links out to Belem. Barrio Alto is very close too, so it’s good for all those restaurants and bars. We found a few Afro/ dance clubs... if that’s your thing go to B.Leza which is down on the waterfront the other side of Cais do Sodré. There is also a Kizomba club called Chaido which used to be known as Sky City - down at Alcantara - we had a good time there.

Ein Zuhause in Lissabon / A home in Lisbon

Perfektes, gemütliches und blitzsauberes Studio mit einem traumhaften Ausblick über den Tejo und die Dächer von Lissabon.Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an zuhause gefühlt, wurden von Pedro mit einer Flasche Wein willkommen geheißen, und haben unsere Woche hier rundherum genossen. Immer wieder staunten wir über die vielen netten und witzigen Details mit denen die Wohnung eingerichtet ist!! Pedro war ein sehr sympathischer Gastgeber der immer wieder nützliche Tips und ein offenes Ohr für uns hatte, wir werden ganz sicher wieder kommen!!!! Perfect, cozy and immaculate clean studio with a fantastic view over the river Tejo and the roofs of Lisbon.We felt at home from the very beginning.Pedro welcomed us with a bottle of wine and we enjoyed our week here completely.It was amazing how many nice and clever details we could find, the studio was fitted out with. Pedro was a very sympathetic host, he gave us lots of tips and always had an open ear fror us. We will definitely return!!! Obrigado per tudo, Pedro!!

Great location, great apartment and great host

Santa Catarina was ideally located in the middle of everything. Even our longest walks were only 20 or so minutes, albeit very hilly minutes. It was a great way to burn calories from some amazing meals we enjoyed. Pedro is very hospitable and his apartments are very well maintained. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay in the same apartment on our next visit to Lisbon.

Wonderful top-floor apartment

My wife and I spent 3 nights in Lisbon in early April, our first visit to this lovely city. We linked up with our older son Luke who had been before, and as our stay was to be brief, we hit the ground running. We had also been in regular contact with Pedro before we arrived, he was extremely helpful in responding to all our queries including our request for the best place to park our car. The apartment was perfect. It is located in the very pleasant area of Baixa-Chiado and we discovered many sights, bars and restaurants within easy walking distance; highlights included the atmosphere in the nearby Praca Luis de Camoes on a late sunny afternoon, and an excellent meal in the Estrela da Bica restaurant. There was also live music at the top of the next street beside the apartment one early evening. The ascent to the apartment is via a series of lovely old wooden stairs, we enjoyed our journeys up and down each day. There are wonderful views of the city and river from a number of windows, and also plenty of space to move about with little nooks for relaxation. It also features lovely little touches round the apartment ranging from a small pile of old suitcases to lots of old books, also a number of very useful guides to Lisbon. The apartment was very well equipped with all necessities for preparing and eating food, all enhanced by a complimentary bottle of local red wine - much appreciated. We all found the apartment to be comfortable and relaxing, a perfect location at the end of a busy day. We have all resolved to return to Lisbon again and will book here without hesitation. On leaving, Pedro drew a map for us to help locate the bridge for our drive south, just one of the many personal contributions which made our stay so special.

Perfekte Wohnung!!

Diese wunderschön und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtete Wohnung hat eine perfekte Lage. Alle wichtigen Plätze sind innerhalb 10-15 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen, ein kleiner Supermarkt ebenso und die Aussicht ist von kaum einem Aussichtspunkt zu übertreffen. Noch perfekter wurde unser Aufenthalt durch die Gastfreundschaft und den netten Kontakt zu Pedro, dem Vermieter. Wir hatten eine traumhafte Zeit!
