We had an amazing time staying at André’s unit in Lisbon. André is the perfect example of how every host should treat their guests—he picked us up at the airport, left us wine, delicious pastries, and a special Port that we absolutely loved. He was always available if we needed anything. The apartment is in a great location, perfectly situated between Lisbon’s main neighborhoods.There were occasionally some homeless people outside the building, but they never interacted with us or caused any issues. The unit also got a bit warm during the heatwave, but we expected that given the weather and lack of AC.Overall, it was a fantastic stay and a big part of why we loved Lisbon so much. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time!.. Host picked us up at the airport and provided a great, detailed overview of Lisbon for us that was very helpful. Andre also provided complimentary port and red wine - all delicious!

Good apartment, unsafe location.

Lisbon is a beautiful city and we had some memorable moments. Not the least of which were our culinary adventures. We had the best food of our entire trip in Lisbon, thanks in part to Andre’s recommendations. Andre was very helpful and his small apartment lived up to expectations: it was nicely decorated, well appointed and equipped. The problem was the location. The apartment was in an unsafe area of town. It was tucked in a quiet backstreet just off the main drag, which seemed very appealing to the less fortunate members of Lisbon’s society. When we first arrived, there were about 5 people strewn about the steps: one was totally prone - presumably asleep - the others were sitting on the steps in various stages of inebriation or intoxication from alcohol and/drugs. A M/F couple were sitting on a step exactly outside our front door and were still there when we returned from dinner later that evening. A couple of males were there the following night and tried to engage us in conversation while we struggled to unlock our door. Throughout the 1st two nights there was considerable noise outside, mostly loud shouting of a profane nature. This cleared on the 3rd and 4th nights, presumably because police attended a domestic disturbance and frightened the street people away. But the damage was done. We were apprehensive about returning to the apartment at any time of day but especially after dark. We witnessed two males urinating against the walls which created an unpleasant odor.

Accueil et appartement parfait

Le propriétaire André est un hôte plus que parfait: beaucoup de bonnes informations sur Lisbonne, accueil à l’aéroport, accompagnement à l’appartement, bouteille de vin, porto et pâtisseries. Oui un hôte plus que parfait. Un appartement petit mais très propre et chaleureux.

Short stay in Lisbon

Short 4 day layover in Lisbon. Our host André was excellent. Picked us up at the train station and provided lots of useful information concerning Lisbon and the surrounding area. A very cute, little apartment, well maintained and with some delightful added treats. Thanks André for everything.

Great location and matches description

Appartement is spotless, as in photos. Small but big enough for 2. Comfy bed. Left extra bottle of wine and provided ample tourists details picked us up complimentary at airport upon arrival. Easy communication and accommodating. Central located and can do most of the visits by feet. The only negative was few couple junkies down the street shouting during the day (only). As a couple we did not feel threatened but we wouldn’t have felt comfortable with younger kids.

Our host Andre was very helpful in sharing with us what are the sites to see and how to get there with a very easy map to keep us oriented in Lisbon. He was attentive to our needs and even got in touch with us to be sure we were all right after a big rain storm not seen in Lisbon in a long time.

Queen bed very comfortable for two. Blackout shutters for windows. Bathroom modern with host providing essentials (i.e., liquid soap, towel exchange due to 10 day stay, hair dryer, shampoo and conditioner). Full kitchen. Great location to historical attractions.

Little gem in a big city

This is a wonderful, comfortable home well stocked with anything you might need. It is so easy to walk or tram anywhere in Lisbon. Grocery and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Andre is a fabulous host picking us up at the airport and providing a full day private tour. Everything rates an excellence! We would be so fortunate to stay here again.

Tourist friendly location Lisbon

Overall the interior of apartment was very clean and with all amenities we needed. Living area and kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. However this street does not have air conditioning and weather was 30 degrees hot. Location to tourist areas was awesome and easy to walk. Host Andre was very prompt professional with all his communication. Thank you, Bruce.

Wonderful stay

Small but cosy

Small but very well equipped apartment. Andre couldn’t have been a better host. Super communication before travel, sent lots of information and suggestions for our trip to Lisbon. Collected us at airport. Location very good. Nice furnishings, comfortable bed and powerful shower. Would book again if back in Lisbon.

Great apartment in good location

The owner Andre was terrific and took care to think of every detail. He gave directions to get there and walked me to the property which is close to the metro line. He went over all details of the property and had a map and many details about the city, gave recommendations of places to go. I felt safe and comfortable. The place is very easy to find and navigate back to. Highly recommend this apartment.

I was born in Lisbon. This is where I grew up, studied, worked, dated and married. Working in shifts, I decided to leave the city center of Lisbon, be established in a quiet place to rest. I love to travel and see the world around me. I like being with friends, organize dinners with wine tasting. I love photography, music and a good movie for me stir feelings. I am a friend of my friend and I appreciate sincerity.

The apartment was bought for my daughter to have a place to stay in admission to the University. I am preparing her future but she is only 13 years old and until it is available shouldnt be used because the closed building, unused for several years, it will be more easily degraded.

The building where it is located, has only two tenants (one upstairs and one downstairs), which helps no noise and be friendly. The location is good because it is within the city center. And while you are at the beginning of the hill, a staircase where there are no cars and giving access to the Castle of San Jorge. Magnificent.
