I choose the condo based on location and proximity to the water. I’ve never stayed at a place directly on the water; it was nice. We watched humpbacks in the morning sometimes only a few hundred yards away or less. Beach to the north is perfect because it’s easy to avoid rocks and it’s a gentle decline into the water. We hung out at a resort down the road to the south and there was a steep drop 5-10 feet in and the undertow was way stronger. It’s a good spot on all levels - restaurants, beach, food truck park, golf, old town, Paia. The condo could use upgrades for sure, but we were fine with the old appliances and we prepared our own meals daily.
