Not an independent appartmebt as advertised! Just a couple of rooms in the hosts house! Very disappointing !!The main door from the street had a faulty lock and couldn't get in!Generally unkept and lack of maintenance!Not worthy of being let!!!

Florence Trip

It was delightful. Antonia is very nice. Only trouble we had was communication. We do not speak Italian. We tried an app, but it did not work very well. It did not affect our stay much, because we eventually figured out what we needed to, and everything we needed was there. I highly recommend for a stay in Florence.

Expedia describes this property as "close to the Ponte Vecchio." It is not. it's a 25 minute walk to get anywhere you might want to go. The host claims to speak English but does not. The apartment has nice outdoor space but that is the only comfortable area. Bed and pillows are old and need replacing. Bathroom is so narrow you have to walk sideways to get to the toilet or shower. Disappointing that previous reviewers were not honest about the property.

Great place. And very safe

We are students traveling and it was a great and safe apartment. Antonina was wonderful and like a nonna. I would definetly stay again.

quiet but still close to center of Florence

A charming apartment in an older home with historic touches like the fresco painting on the bedroom ceiling and some antique furniture; the thick stone building is cool in summer and (presumably) cozy in winter. You will get to know the host Antonina and her warm hospitality as well; she has been a fixture in the neighborhood for decades. The apartment is generally quiet both on the street side and the garden/courtyard side, even by day and even more during the night. If you want to stay a little away from the bustle in the center of Florence but still be within easy reach, and in a neighborhood with some tasty food catering to Florentines, this is a lovely spot.

Mom and Daughter Trip!

Antonina is an amazing host! She greeted us at the door and was very helpful with all questions. The room and suite is extremely clean, comfortable, and keeps with the old charm of historic Florence. It’s walking distance from everything you want to go and see, while being just far enough away to give you a quiet nights rest. There are lots of delicious cafes and restaurants within blocks of the rental. Overall amazing stay!

La propriétaire est adorable, serviable, disponible et pleine d'attentions particulières. Nous avons rencontré une belle personne. L'appartement se situe à environ 15-20 mn à pied du centre historique, pas besoin de prendre les transports en commun. La chambre est spacieuse, literie en très bon état très confortable. Terrasse agréable et appréciée surtout en ville.

Clean, friendly host, close to central area

Traditional rooms were clean and comfortable. Host was friendly and helpful - we do not speak Italian so using a translation app came in helpful. Close to supermarket and 15 -20 minute walk to Duomo.

Ein Paradies in der Stadt

Antonina ist eine überaus liebenswerte Gastgeberin, die Wohnung ist gut gelegen für Erkundungen der Stadt zu Fuß. Aber das Allerbeste ist der Hof, auf den man durch die Küche gelangt. Das ist wirklich paradiesisch! Wir haben jede Minute dort genossen!

Casa nel verde.....BEAUTIFUL!!!

La mia esperienza in questa fantastica abitazione sita al piano terra immerso nel verde e tra la zona residenziale di Firenze, tra Piazza Beccaria, e Piazza Santa Croce..... è qualcosa di magico!!! Premetto che sono lucano e capito molto spesso a Firenze per lavoro: da quando ho conosciuto LA PROPRIETARIA Antonietta la mia esperienza fiorentina è cambiata, IN MEGLIO, soprattutto perchè ho pernottatto presso questa location da sogno... Centrale, facile da raggiungere sia se si arriva a Firenze in auto, sia in treno, super arredata nei minimi particolari, a sapor di gusto, con tutti i confort e soprattutto la disponibilità della titolare ad ogni richiesta. CONSIGLIATISSIMA!

La casa è molto accogliente e pulita, era attrezzata con tutto ciò che si può desiderare per un soggiorno a Firenze . La posizione era eccellente - non più di 10 minuti a piedi da tutti i musei e le attrazioni . Non abbiamo avuto bisogno di un veicolo in questa posizione . Supermarket dietro l'angolo. Connettività Wifi eccellente . La proprietaria ci ha fornito un eccellente servizio clienti ed era felice di aiutarci con le indicazioni stradali e le informazioni generali su Firenze . Abbiamo apprezzato molto il nostro soggiorno e apprezzato il servizio personale che Antonietta ci ha fornito.

Ho avuto l'occasione di alloggiare in questo bellissimo appartamento , sono rimasta piacevolmente sorpresa , dalla pulizia, comodità, servizio , tranquillità, accoglienza, bellezza ( le foto non gli rendono giustizia) è tutto più bello e accogliente dal vivo. Lo consiglierò a parenti ed amici , ed ogni volta che dovrò tornare a Firenze non andrò mai più in hotel perchè quì ho trovato tutto quello che che l'hotel offre, ma il calore e l'accoglienza che solo un appartamento può dare.Lo consiglio vivamente anche la zona è centrale ma tranquilla grazie per questo bellissimo indimenticabile soggiorno

Semplicemente fantastica!

Sono stato per lavoro in questa splendida location, ma si è trasformato in un viaggio di piacere! Arredo, dettagli, emergenze architettoniche hanno reso un sogno i miei giorni di soggiorno. La titolare fa sentire sempre a tuo agio, tutto ciò che chiedi ti viene esaudito: indicazioni, consigli, location da visitare. Ritornerò a brevissimo e per più tempo. CONSIGLIATISSIMO!!!!!!

Bon séjour

Beautiful

This apartment is very nice, clean and in a very comfortable neighborhood. We have stayed in this apartment 2 times a year already for 6 or 7 years. Antonietta is a very kind and dear person who can inform you all about the nice places in Florence. Antiques, restaurants, festivals, fashion etc etc. The apartment has good beds, a very comfortable and clean kitchen and a sunny flowerfull lovingly maintained garden. We would recommend this tastefull decorated apartment for 2 persons who want to live in Florence in a nice Italian quiet neighborhood!

The accommodation met our...

The accommodation met our four top priorities: quiet location (up until 7.15am, when the rubbish is collected from the bins on the front street!), walking distance to the main sights, a good shower and hob/oven. However, we were not expecting the owner to live in such close proximity and having to share a main entrance hall. Unfortunately, accessing the garden was not always possible, when the owner had her washing out! However, Antonietta was friendly, helpful and kind and was approachable to ask for anything. It felt like we were staying with an Italian grandma, with having to make room for our belongings etc. There were lots of antiques, cupboards and drawers filled with Antonietta’s items such as books. It was also equipped with inappropriate furniture and kitchen gear, but it kind of adds to the charm of the place! Please note, pictures 13 & 14 do not exist in this property! We were disappointed that there was no TV, or sofa to sit on. However, overall, the property was clean,good value and in a great location.
