A perfect lakeside retreat

We have just spent a long week-end at Les Granges. It provided an excellent base from which to explore beautiful Talloires and Lake Annecy. The house has considerable character and provides wonderful views of lake and mountain.

Paysages de carte postale

La situation de la maison est vraiment idéale pour faire de nombreuses randonnées sans avoir besoin de prendre la voiture. Magnifique vue depuis la maison qui se situe sur les hauteurs de Talloires (le chemin retour depuis Talloires est donc un peu sportif).

Belle surprise, environnement privilégié

Tout était parfait, le logement était très bien équipé et très dépaysant. Bien situé, pour se balader, profiter du lac ou de la montagne. Très satisfait de notre séjour, seul bémol le coût du chauffage électrique alors que nous chauffions très peu et avons utilisé le poêle à bois chaque soir.

Entre lac et montagne

Accueil à la fois discret et bienveillant, la maison a le charme et la fraîcheur des vieilles demeures savoyardes sur les hauteurs de Talloires. Nous avons apprécié la proximité avec le lac pour se détendre après les randonnées. Un séjour très agréable.

maison ancienne pleine de charme avec très belle vue

Ce que nous avons aimé : La maison savoyarde pur jus est décorée avec beaucoup de goût à l'ancienne. Les 2 chambres principales (lit double) sont très agréables, la chambre d'enfants est un peu étroite. La vue est splendide et la terrasse très appréciable pour déjeuner/dîner dehors. Parking sans problème. Ce que nous avons regretté : c'est un peu bruyant à cause de la route très passante assez proche, les 2 chambres sous les toits sont très chaudes en cas de canicule, la cuisine est très sombre, l'équipement de cuisine un peu juste, les draps, serviettes, torchons, tapis de bains... ne sont pas fournis.

2 semaines paisibles dans un cadre grandiose

Nous avons passé avec mon épouse et notre fils un magnifique séjour pour les fêtes de Noël. Ideal pour 3 personnes...parfait pour 6 maxi...et repas de Noël en famille à 9 très convivial dans le petit salon en bas... Un vrai nid paisible dans une ambiance de chalet de montagne...belle décoration. Tous les matins ski à la Clusaz à exactement 30mn de la maison en passant par Bluffy...donc ideal pour profiter des jois du ski et du lac à 2mn. L'accueil à été très chaleureux et bien organisé. Nous reviendrons. Seul bemol...pour chauffer la maison facture EDF un peu salée à notre depart car radiateurs électriques...il y avait cependant un poil à pétrole mais nous préférions ne pas l'utiliser à cause des odeurs...à prendre en compte dans le budget...mais cela reste un détail car nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

Un séjour parfait dans un cadre sublime

Une charmante maison pleine de charme, avec une très jolie décoration intérieure savoyarde soignée, et surtout surtout une vue magnifique depuis le terrasse et les chambres sur le lac d'Annecy. L'accès au lac se fait en moins de 15mn à pied. Séjour fabuleux dans cette maison qui nous a paru plus grande que sa surface indiquée sur Abritel. Cuisine très bien équipée. A noter pour ne pas être surpris : le jardin se trouve face à la maison de l'autre côté de la ruelle qui est très peu passante, mais mieux vaut le savoir. La baignoire n'est pas balnéo mais est très bien quand même. Nous espérons avoir l'occasion d'y revenir rapidement !

Schönes Haus in toller Lage

Gemütliches Haus mit wunderschönem Blick auf den See. Gute Ausgangsposition für Ausflüge, sowohl an den See als auch in die darüberliegenden Berge. Golfplatz, Seeufer und Paragliding sehr gut zu erreichen. Familien- und hundefreundlich. Wir kommen bestimmt bald wieder.

Great view and location, but dingy interior

We stayed in this property for two weeks in August of 2019. The house is well-situated with a lovely view of Lake Annecy, and if that's your primary goal you would do well to rent this property. Renters should be aware, however, that the interior is quite dark, with a rustic cabin feel -- and it feels a bit dingy. We found the main surfaces (counters, bathrooms, floors) generally clean but the ceilings, stairs, windows, and light fixtures were quite dusty, some with visible cobwebs and spiderwebs. The place could use a good deep clean. Renters should also be aware that the owner attempts to show up prior to departure to "inspect" the property -- and we found his expectations to be unreasonable. We took care to leave the house better than we found it -- not just tidying the place and removing trash, but also vacuuming and dusting (I even used the vacuum attachment to clean the cobwebs and debris from the ceilings, stairs and window sills). So I was surprised to receive angry text messages from the owner because we didn't clean the toilets and we left a small number of useful items (sugar for coffee, aluminum foil, three unopened beers) in the kitchen. It's possible he was being defensive because we had complained about the cleanliness of the property, but if not, future renters should understand that he expects you not just to tidy up, but to fully prepare the unit for subsequent renters. That wasn't something we expected and we found it to be unreasonable. Despite that misunderstanding, and despite the rather surly communications with the owner, overall we still found the property to be a suitable, nicely-located, convenient base for exploring Lake Annecy. The parking is convenient, the view is truly breathtaking, and the front porch is a delightful place to enjoy any meal, day or night. The distance to the lake is rather far and steep, but still accessible for the physically fit.

Talloires, una maravilla

En general muy buen alojamiento de la zona de Saboya. Vistas muy buenas desde varias estancias y jardín. Mejora en situ que las fotografías. Si volvemos a la zona, que es una maravilla, volveremos a La Maison du lac.

ANNECY LAKE AND TOWN

A traditional French house with an outstanding main bedroom with 2 balconies which give superb lake and mountain views. An updated bathroom and then a huge attic bedroom with other beds and washing areas. Talloires can be very busy but this house and its small terrace stand far enough back from roads for the traffic NOT to be annoying. Decent parking slot and a large grassed area for private use. Owner very helpful but not intrusive. The whole area is very popular so be prepared for busy main roads. A hot-spot for cyclists, swimmers and hang-gliders.

location incontournable pour les amoureux du lac

Très agréable séjour avec l'impression d'être un peu hors du temps mais très agréable, logement plein de charme et une superbe vue sur le lac. Chambres spacieuses mais rez-de-chaussée pour 4 maxi ou court séjour. Quartier très calme, ruelle avec très peu de passage. J'ajoute à mon carnet d'adresses :-)

Less costs more

We stayed in this property in April 2019 as a family of 2 adults and three children for fours nights. Positive - The external look of the house looks nice and attractive and reminds romantic French house. The owners contacted well by emails before the stay. The house has amazing view. Negative - - The future visitor must be aware that the price does not include sheets and towels as well as electricity and taxes although no receipt of taxes is given and cleaning fee is not included as well. The sheets fee was mentioned only after the first payment and the cleaning fee just when we arrived. - Despite the high price, the sheets are placed in a pile on a bed. - - They come to inspect the house 1 hour before the checkout time while we ate breakfast and said that the kitchen is still not clean so we need to pay another substantial amount of money in addition to the cleaning fee. - The house is VERY dusty so visitors with allergies and health problems mainly respiratory ones should avoid staying in the house. - it looks like someone tries to save money on the maintenance costs of the house as you can see it everywhere. My family stayed in A LOT of houses before all over the world and I think this is the first negative feedback I write. In summary, try to avoid. Prefer a house with higher prices which is better maintained and you will not need to be surprised by additional fees.
