The property was very clean with 2 MB with large closets and baths. Perfect for 2 couples. The kitchen was stocked well for home cooking to include some spices and condiments. The photos are accurate. The sunsets are magnificent with a west facing lanai.The location is about 10 min. walk to Paradise Cove (no bathroom) but we saw turtles and seals there. Cove 1 is about a 20 min. walk, crowded with 2 resorts, but clean with bathrooms. Cove 4 by the marina has about 60 free parking spaces and it was our favorite, clean with bathroom, and easy to park during the weekdays. The condo has beach chairs and left by renters snorkel gear.Grocery and shopping is at Kapolei about 10 minutes drive. We shopped at Safeway and Target, You can find everything that you need there, although there are many shops and restaurants in Kapolei. We loved the dedicated Poke counter at Safeway. We had many enjoyable meals of Poke with rice cooked at the condo.Arrival process was a manageable but difficult having to get the key to open the security gate by walking around a wall, grassy non-paved area to the condo garage to get the key. I'm glad it was still light out on our arrival. I think in the dark, it would have been impossible.I gave the 4 stars because of the arrival and the maintenance issues that we had. AC was out 2 days, clothes dryer 8 days, and a water leak was being repaired as we left. I think it was bad luck, but the appliances may need upgrading.We would rent again.

Beautiful location

We stayed 5 weeks. The neighbors are so friendly and the beds are very comfortable. Richard supplied all the beach toys/snorkel gear we could want. It’s so nice to be able to walk to the lagoons. It was great and we would come back again in the future.

Perfect Getaway

This property is in a pristine location away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki and nestled in Ko'Olina which has restaurants, shopping and beaches. The condo itself was bigger than expected and the sunset views are a chef's kiss as it's on the west side of the island. It's also about 3 minutes from electric beach for some good beach/snorkel days. I lovedy stay here for my wedding and honeymoon. Would stay here forever if I could!

The condo was an excellent home away from home for our 30-day stay in August 2025. Located in Ko Olina, you have Secret Beach 100 yards away and the lagoons and restaurants within a short walk. More restaurants, shops and grocery stores are just a 10 min drive away in Kapolei.The kitchen was well equipped for preparing just about any meal you desire. The lanai is perfect for breakfast in the morning and sunset drinks in the evening. The layout as two masters is really conducive to two couples. Richard has provided so many beach chairs, snorkeling gear and boogie boards - even a wagon to get it all to the beach. We would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in O’ahu at Kai Lani Estates from July 1-July 31. The condo was wonderful! The kitchen was so much fun to cook. There were spices and seasonings to choose from. Lots of pots and pans. The two master bedrooms were great with a powder room as well. Restaurants and shops close by. Not to mention the restaurants and bars in the hotels. Ask about the Beach and Sports Club where you can work out at the fitness center, paddle board, and so many activities! The rest of the island was complete magic! Make your magic by enjoying the culture, the activities around the island, Waikiki, north shore, and so much more!

Our best time ever in O'ahu! Staying at Kai Lani at Richard's 'Kapolei' townhouse was wonderful.

Craig and I had the most fabulous time in O'ahu and a lot of it had to do with staying at Richard's "Kapolei" townhouse. Perfect location, incredible decor, comfy beds, awesome kitchen with all of its amenities, big bathrooms, washer/dryer, WIFI, a TV in each bedroom and living room (lots of channels!!!), great beaches close by within the Ko'olina area, great pool and BBQ area, beautiful sunsets, warm weather and sunshine...we could not ask for more! Oh, and spending time around the island was awesome, too. We just loved coming back to Kai Lani at the end of the day for happy hour and making great island recipes or exploring the nearby resorts for food and entertainment. We will definitely come back. Mahalo nui loa, Professor Richard! A hui hou!

Our second stay in paradise

We were lucky enough to stay in Richard’s condo for a second time. The complex, Kai Lani, is beautifully landscaped and laid out. The pool and hot tub are clean and a fun place to relax after a day at the beach. A quick 3 minute walk away is Paradise Cove, a small beach where you can snorkel and kids can swim safely in the waves. You will find three other coves a few minutes down the road. There is a strip mall a five minute walk away with restaurants, coffee shops, an ice cream store and stores. Richard’s condo is well equipped with a large open concept kitchen. There are two master bedroom suites with comfortable king sized beds. The decor is tasteful and feel like your second (dream) home. We cannot wait to return and have already inquired about our next stay!

Another fantastic stay

Our third stay at Richard’s condo in Kai Lani was nothing short of fantastic. The complex is beautifully landscaped and thoughtfully designed, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere. The pool and hot tub are pristine—a perfect way to unwind after a day at the beach.Just a short walk away is Paradise Cove, a small, picturesque beach ideal for snorkeling and safe for kids to enjoy the waves. Several other stunning coves are just minutes down the road. The location is also incredibly convenient, with restaurants, coffee shops, an ice cream shop, and various stores within a five-minute walk. Plus, a quick drive takes you to multiple grocery stores, including Costco.Richard’s condo itself is a dream. The spacious, open-concept kitchen is well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals. Both master suites feature comfortable king-sized beds, and the tasteful decor makes the space feel like a true home away from home. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Bucket List Trip

Overall a GREAT place to stay: view, close to activities & shopping, nice neighbors & workers, rooms, beds, and parking. Negatives were: we couldn't get very hot water, kitchen appliances need replacement (fridge & dishwasher), and living room furniture needs replacement (uncomfortable to sit in, no ottomans, we were vacuuming a couple of times daily due to feathers shedding, and we ended up putting sheets on them to avoid their scratching us). We WILL still be recommending this place to others, with the expectation that some of the items noted will be taken care of. A big thanks to the owner for all of the water gear and for buying a beach wagon for us to haul it all on. As a handicapped person, this made a HUGE difference in the amount of things I could take part in!

Paradise

Four adults all over 60 celebrating my brother and sister-in-law's retirement. The condo was perfect for the four of us. Having two beautiful master suites (really comfy king beds!) was lovely. The bathrooms are huge and luxurious. The kitchen had everything we needed to make nice meals and eat in occasionally. We spent a huge amount of time on the lanai because of the gorgeous ocean view. A real bonus is the decor and artwork in the condo. The second bonus is the location. We walked down to the beach we viewed from the lanai every night for the sunset. There is also a cove beach with amazing snorkeling that is completely walkable, about a 1/4 mile away. We saw over a dozen different types of fish as well as swam with a sea turtle and watched over a sleeping monk seal on that beach. Honolulu, the North Shore and eastern shore of the island are all very accessible by car. Within Ko'olina itself are shops, tons of restaurants, luaus and just about everything you need. It really was a perfect vacation. Thank you, Richard!

Magnifique !

Le condo était très beau et propre. Il y avait tout ce qu’on peut trouver dans une cuisine bien équipée. Lits confortables, coin tranquille et bien situé. Tout pour la plage, chaises, parasols, jouets pour enfants etc.

Gut ausgestattete Wohnung. Sehr geräumig. Gepflegte Anlage.

Guter Kontakt mit dem Vermieter. Alle Probleme gelöst. Schlüssel waren leider nicht in der Schlüsselbox aber ein Nachbar hat uns geholfen.

Absolutely perfect

This home is well maintained and in the perfect location. Close to shopping, dining, and beaches. The Property sits right before the Ko Olina Golf Course, Aulani resort and the lagoons for perfect beach and swimming days. We have stayed at many different condos over the years. This property by far is the best. The description given is accurate and has everything anyone would need to have a perfect get away. We can't wait to return.

Incredible residence at Incredible location

The ocean view from lanai was mesmerizing. You are close to the beach, pool, great dining, and the paved path that connects the lagoons. Paradise Cove Luau is steps away. IMO could not ask for a better place to stay on Oahu.

Unforgettable

Beautiful property, pictures do not do it justice. We’ve stayed at many places, a few 5 star resorts with our employers, and they don’t compare to the atmosphere , convenience, and thoughtful touches at this property. Will definitely stay here again! Have passed on the info to other family members

The best in every way!

Loved this condo. Easy contact free check-in. Location to many things was a plus - walking distance to Paradise Cove Beach, the Lagoons of Ko'Olina, and many restaurant choices. Driving anywhere on the island was easily accessible for half-day & full-day adventures. The pool area with shared gas grills was an immaculate space. So many friendly folk to share daily adventures with. Can't wait to come back and stay in this condo again soon!!

Perfect location

Our stay in Richard's rental in Kai Lani was exceptional. It is equipped like home with a beautiful view of the coast from the outdoor patio adjacent to the living room. It was an amazing two weeks!

An amazing property with plenty of room for 5 adults. The condo was stocked with all everyday necessities. We appreciated having a washer and dryer in the unit. A very informative binder was put together with information on where to eat, swim, and the everyday running of the community.

Wonderful Private Get-Away

This is our 2nd time renting Richard's property. I have relatives in O'ahu and we go back to the islands a lot. My husband and I just love his condo. The Thai/Asian decor is so beautiful. Everything feels so spacious, especially for two people! And I love the kitchen, filled with all the emenities! And you are provided with your designated parking space as well. Driving to Waikiki is about a 45 minute drive. There is so much to see on the island, depending on what you want to do. You can drive/walk to the Aulani and Ko'Olina resorts. Lots of restaurants within the Ko'Olina area. There are several lagoons and they fill up quickly. Next to Paradise Cove Luau (great luau) is a small beach called Paradise Cove. Really nice for swimming, snorkeling. You can ask the condo manager if he has a beach wagon to rent and you can walk to the cove. I believe your vaction rental makes your vacation stay even more pleasurable! Ko'Olina - Kai Lani Estates gated condos is its own paradise in itself. We will return for sure! Ko Olina Paradise

Excellent home on the western side of Oahu with breathtaking views from the lanai. Kitchen and home were very well equipped with all that you will need for a wonderful vacation. The owner and Ingrid were a pleasure to work with. If you wish to relax while on vacation, then this is the location. Very quiet!
