Erica's home is vintage Victorian, quite tastefully decorated and updated and clean. With 4 bedrooms, and 2 full remodeled baths, it is spacious enough for several couples, or large families. Kitchen is fully and nicely stocked, and traditional dining room great for 10 around the table. Fully enclosed, gated back deck allows kids to have enclosed space, and adults to view sunsets over the lake. Great selection of beach toys, beach chairs and a wagon in the garage. Higgins Lake -- Caribbean-like swimming lake -- is 20 minutes away for excellent boating or pontooning; Traverse City about an hour drive. Fire pit in side yard, and movable deck chairs for using it. Ardis Library -- almost next door and named for the original owners of the home -- provides PCs, tapes, books, and something for adults and youngsters to do on a rainy day. The ladies there know the Ardis family. The only downside is that road behind the property -- running through Lake City -- is busier than we imagined. (Property is in town.) Front porch a quieter alternative to the back deck at times. Large driveway accommodates 4 cars easily. Nearby state park beach on the lake (5 minutes) provides a more secluded alternative to crossing the road to the public beach. We had four couples and two young grandchildren, and the home was very adequate.
