Cottage A sits right next to Mitchell State Park Campground in beautiful Cadillac, Michigan. This comfortable two-bedroom retreat features WiFi, air conditioning, heating, and in-unit laundry—everything you need for a hassle-free stay.

Inside, you’ll find a bright, inviting layout that makes it easy to relax after a day outdoors. The open living area and well-equipped kitchen provide a comfortable setting for both quiet mornings and cozy evenings in.

In the warmer months, enjoy biking, hiking, golfing, or days on the lake, all just minutes away. When winter arrives, the cottage becomes an ideal base for downhill skiing and snowboarding at Caberfae Peaks or Crystal Mountain, with snowmobile trails also nearby.

Awesome stay here! Right in the middle of everything. Short walk to the beach, coffee or ice cream shop. Boat launch is across the street, cut through the canal, zoom across lake Cadillac and hit downtown Cadillac. Had a great time staying here, would highly recommend.

Love this place! This is our second stay. It’s the perfect size for a couple or small family. We had friends at the campground next door and were able to visit easily. Love that Mr Foise’s Pasties is next door! Can’t wait until the next time we can come.

Property was great and very clean compared to other houses we have stayed in. I wish there was a couple more blinds on the I does that didn’t have any and a fire pit. Other than that it was perfect!!!!

4th of July Weekend

Our group rented both cabin A and cabin B for the weekend. We rented these as a bridesmaid/groomsman room for our wedding over the weekend. The host was very welcoming and had helpful details printed out and available inside the cabin. The location is amazing, right next to the state park, local restaurants, and across from the beach. We were able to enjoy the pasty shop next door was a great addition to our stay.

Lovely up north stay

This house was a lovely rental, easy to find and access. We initially planned to bring out kids, but it ended up being just myself and my husband. Had the kids come along, it still would have been perfect. The sleeping arrangements are superior to other rentals in the same price range and the house really did feel like home. It was nice to be close to many things, and the pastie shop next door is a must visit!

I would recommend this property for anybody that wants to get away. Once the word get gets out about this little cabin it will be filling up fast a hostesses was nice The owner was nice everybody was really nice that we dealt with concerning this property again I would recommend it to anybody

Snowboarding Trip

We came up with friends to snowboard at Caberfae. This place has a convenient location only about 15-20 minutes away from Caberfae, and even closer to downtown Cadillac. Everything was very clean and comfortable for our stay. I would stay again.

Skiing Weekend

My son and I decided last minute to head north for a quick weekend trip for some skiing. I found Up North Getaway and was very pleased. Cabin was small but perfect for what I was looking for. Only 15-20 mins to the slopes and close to lots of places to eat. We ended up at the bowling alley very close by for a couple of games and pizza after a day outside. I will also mention the heated floors were awesome to wake up to. The entire cabin has them. Only reason I have 4 stars for location is because the front door opens to the Burger King parking lot. Not a huge deal while you’re in the house.

Exactly as advertised

My friends and I planned a ski trip to the area with this house as the lodging, and we loved it. Plenty of space for everyone and a relaxing home to return to at the end of the day. Very clean and well maintained, had everything we needed. Plus the beds were really comfortable. We'll be back for sure!!

Perfect weekend getaway

This is a very nice place. Very clean, very comfortable, and the free pasties was an unexpected and delightful surprise. Conveniently located near the state park, we were able to take short walks along the shoreline of two lakes. The only drawback to the location is the proximity to M-115 with the loud traffic noise. The property manager was helpful, although basically unneeded as the only issue that we had was due to our impatience with the fireplace. Everything worked great, the bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had all the necessary utensils. The TV has a large number of available channels.

One of our new favorite places!!

We stayed for a quick weekend that wasn’t too far from home. Explored all over during the days and evenings, but would have been totally content to just tuck up inside and read with the fire going!! It was cold and rainy outside, but inside with the radiant floor heat…so awesome! We were comfortable in every way…furniture, location, cleanliness, amenities available, the pasty shop….excellent!
