Beautiful Cabin

Our stay here was great! The cabin was beautiful and spacious and we really enjoyed using the paddle boards and kayaks provided. Great location in Lake city and right on the beach! Host was very proactive and responsive

Micala, Thank you for your wonderful review. I am so happy to hear you had a great stay and enjoyed the location of the cottage. It is fun to take the kayaks and SUP all around the various coves and it's such a short paddle into the Lake City public dock for dinner or ice cream . Please come stay again next year. Angela

Relaxing and comfortable, lovely location with beautiful sunsets... BUT NO SANDY BEACH!!!

Hi Guy, The homeowners were saddened to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences, and would like to clarify the following:- The cottage boasts 80 feet of lakefront property with a sandy bottom and no rocks or seawall, providing direct access to the water. The size of the sandy beach area can vary with the water level: higher lake levels result in a smaller beach area, while lower levels increase it.- The listing photos and description accurately depict the beach area, aiming to set clear expectations.- We appreciate your positive comments about the relaxing and comfortable home and the beautiful sunsets. Thanks for taking the time to leave your review!

The house was great, perfect for adults plus kids. We appreciated the little touches, like lots of games for the kids, a sandy beach area, and water toys. The owner was super easy to communicate with, and a small issue with the hot tub was taken care of right away.Lake City itself doesn't have a lot to offer except for the ice cream shop. And the part of the lake the house is on is very shallow and full of weeds. But the house itself was great.

Kathleen, Thanks so much for the 5 star review. I am happy to know you had a great time at the house and enjoyed all the extra amenities like the games, water toys and hot tub. The bay the house sits on is very shallow- which we love for paddle boarding and kayaking and it's only a minute out to the big lake for wakeboarding etc. We do try to keep down the weeds right in front of the beach BUT all the fishermen and women love the bay for the fish!!!! Please come visit again you were great guests and are welcome back anytime. Angela

Lovely cabin on the lake. Two bedrooms downstairs and two upstairs. Kitchen has all the necessities. LOTS of clean towels provided. There are tons of games and books, the garage is filled with toys and games. Plenty of seating outside and in. Very family friendly for all ages. My family has been renting vacation homes for the better part of 20 years and this cabin is by far the cleanest cabin we've stayed in. The attention to detail is better than I've ever seen. The amenities provided are second to none. We cannot wait to go back.

Family short vacation

Eight of us in total stayed. Myself, my husband along with our 3 adult sons and their wives. We also had 2 dogs. The house had everything we needed, very well equiped. Anything you would need in a home away from home. We were able to leave our Deckboat out in front off the dock, so that was fantastic! The fishing in the lake was good, and the swimming lovely. Overall we had a great time our host was wonderful, answering my texts quickly, and answered all my questions. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful house and location

I would recommend this home 100%! Newly updated and clean. Was a little smaller than it looks in the pictures (great photography), but we made due! Awesome dock if you want to bring a boat. Garage has all games and beach chairs a such- a really nice addition. We had 4 adults and one child in the house and there were enough rooms and bathrooms to accommodate!! Great communication from the owners and check in was a breeze. 10 outta 10!

Peaceful and Comfortable

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay. We had 6 people sharing the house and there was plenty of room. It was nice to have 2 bathrooms and a half bath (one bath downstairs does have a higher toilet). (The walk-in shower on the first floor is a bit small). It was convenient to have two bedrooms and two baths on the main floor for those of use with bad knees. We were in town for a celebration of life so it was nice for the three groups to share a house so we could spend time together and catch up. The weather was nice enough that we were able to use the deck and put the fire pit and heater several times. I had to do some cooking for the celebration and the kitchen was well stocked. Just a warning for anyone who is handicapped - there are a couple of steps going into the house but then there is a high step going into the kitchen and another going down into the living room. The three of use with bad knees did figure out the best way to navigate this step but a handle of some sort would have helped. We were here in the fall so the conditions were not right for us to go in the lake but then home is right on the water and there are plenty of water activities available. We would love to come back in the summer sometime.I did contact the owner with questions a couple of times and she responded right away with answers to my questions.
